REYNA

After I left the room, I let out the most shakiest breath. My heart was hammering in my chest, and my palms were sweating. I was thankful for the very lengthy and detailed note that Saint left for me. I didn't think I would be able to walk into that room, threaten the most dangerous men, and walk out with no longer having to fear that they were chasing after me on my own. I felt free.

"Are you okay?" Leo asked, noticing how I stopped dead in my tracks.

I waved my hand dismissively. "I just can't believe that happened." I laughed, but it wasn't because anything was funny. I laughed because I was in pure shock.

"You did amazing. I had never seen Saint look so proud," Leo stated.

The smile that spread across my face was uncontrollable. There was a warmth that gathered in my heart at the sound of Leo's words. He was proud of me.

"Let's get you home before Don catches me speaking to you." Leo chuckled.

He walked behind me as I headed over to Leo's car. It matched his personality—simple yet elite. It was a black Audi that I couldn't help but fall in love with. Thanks to all the money Saint had been paying me, it was going to be the first thing I bought right after I found my mother.

He held open the passenger side for me. After I slipped into the vehicle, he shut the door just before walking around the car and getting in.

"Seat belt," he said as he started up the vehicle.

I chuckled and reached for the seat belt just before clicking it in. I was beginning to like Leo. At first, he gave me more of an asshole-vibe, but after warming up to him, he was pretty cool. I guess with all the rules Saint gave him, it was hard to be friendly.

I leaned back in the seat as the rumble of the engine purred beneath me. The sun was rising and the birds were chirping. It was so beautiful to watch.

"What kind of music do you listen to?" Leo asked. I turned to face him just as he reached for the radio.

"You're going to think I'm lame," I mumbled.

"If I think that, I'm sure Don will rip my head off. I don't like to drive in silence. So, what do you listen to?" he asked.

"Classical."

He glanced over at me with raised brows. It wasn't a common answer amongst anyone. However, classical music was the most telling. I loved how sound could move a soul, proving that actions were always above any word. It was peaceful, emotional, raw. It was everything I needed when I was younger, and especially everything I needed now.

Leo only nodded his head and turned on his radio. He went to a station that played Bach, and all I could do was close my eyes and enjoy the heavenly music.

I remembered a time when I had finally gotten comfortable with hacking. My uncle sat back and watched me hack into the surveillance footage of our street's camera. The exact same song was playing as I forced myself to do everything I could to get the coding right. I just wanted my uncle to be proud of me. Successfully, the live surveillance footage came across my screen.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" my uncle shouted, jumping up and down. I turned to see his big smile on his face, and it put a smile onto mine.

"You are a natural!" my uncle declared while reaching out and grabbing me by the shoulders. He gently shook me back and forth as the smile on his face never faltered. I couldn't have been any older than fourteen years old, and I had just committed my first crime. However, as long as it put me one step closer to finding my mother, I didn't care.

"In no time, you'll be the best hacker this world has ever seen. Now, you need a name..." my uncle said. He looked around the room for a moment before looking back at me. His gaze only stopped when he took in the color of my red glasses. I had only gotten them a month ago. I pushed them further up my nose as I stared at my uncle in wait.

Suddenly, he snapped his fingers. "Red. You will reign as Red," he said. "This is good, good, good, good."

"Red," I repeated. Suddenly, my brows came together. "And what are you? What name do you hide behind?"

"Savior because that's what I want to be to every person who has ever gone missing and has never been found," he answered.

The song switching in Leo's car brought me out of me memories. I sighed. I missed my uncle more than anything.

"What the fuck?" Leo shouted. The car jerked quickly to the side, making my head hit the window. My brows pulled together as I hurriedly turned to him to see what was happening, but I really wish I hadn't. One large black car sped off past us after almost hitting us.

"What's that?" I asked. There was a large truck coming straight at us, similar to the other car that almost hit us.

"Okay, Reyna... listen to me. This is going to get very dirty. Dial Saint's number right the fuck now!" Leo shouted just as he did a quick u-turn in the almost empty street and began to speed down the road. I turned to see the large trucks were coming straight at us.

I began to do as Leo asked. I grabbed the burner phone Saint had given me for emergencies and just as I was about to click Saint's number, Leo's car was rammed into from behind, but it wasn't too hard to the point it caused much damage. My phone flew out of my hand and landed on the floor at my feet as my body jerked forward. If it weren't for the seat belt, I would've flown out of the car.

Leo was still driving as fast as he could. As he drove, I reached down to grab the phone and as I lifted it up, the screen was cracked and the phone wouldn't come on.

"It's broken!" I cried.

"Damn it! Okay, grab my phone. It's in my pocket," he ordered.

Before I could make a move, the car was hit again but from Leo's side. I could see the panic in Leo's face as the glass window and windshield broke. Tiny bits of glass flew all around us but especially at Leo. It almost happened in slow-motion the way the airbags went off. It burned my arm as it shot out of its confinements, doing its best to protect mr. Tears began to fall from my eyes as the car flipped over. When the vehicle landed on the hood, my window broke as well. I had to turn away to shield my face of all the broken glass.

Leo was groaning in pain. When I glimpsed at him, I could see his leg was puncturated. Something from the car went right through his leg. It looked like he was bleeding severely. I could almost see his bone.

There was the sound of Russian voices slowly coming toward us as I could hear doors closing. Tears were falling from my eyes and my heart was pounding in my chest. I was going to die. I was going to die without ever saving my mother. I was going to die without ever seeing Saint again. This was the end.

Leo seemed to hear it too. He grabbed his gun from his jacket and held it up, ready for whoever. I couldn't understand how he remained so calm even with his wound. The situation was probably 100-2. The chances of our survival were slim to none.

"Here take this," he said, handing me a gun of his own. I grabbed it from him with a shaky hand.

"Can you move?" he asked me.

I wiggled my toes to make sure I could still move them. I even made sure I wasn't injured anywhere. It appeared that I had gotten lucky so far.

"Yes," I cried.

"Take off your seatbelt. Then, I need you to help me out. You'll need to take my tie off of me and wrap it around my leg to stop the bleeding. We have to do this fast if we want to make get you out of here, okay?" he asked. I nodded my head and quickly did what he asked. I undid my seatbelt with one hand while I held the gun in the other. Gravity forced me down onto the hood of the car where I winced. Then, I reached over and undid Leo's tie just before undoing the seat belt. I did my best to slowly bring him down onto the hood of the car without adding to his injuries, but I wasn't strong enough. He looked like he wanted to scream in pain, but he held it in. Dante was perfect practice for this moment as I used the tie to stop the bleeding in his leg. Thankfully, his other leg appeared to be fine.

Leo immediately reached to grab his phone, but it was gone. It probably flew out of the car during the collision.

He cocked his gun before urging me to do the same.

The voices were getting closer and closer.

"Stay here. If anyone comes to you, you shoot them. Do you understand me?" he asked. I finally got a good look at his face and noticed all of the glass pieces in his skin. Blood took up almost every single speck of his face. I wondered if I looked the same.

I quickly nodded my head.

He poked his head out through the window and began to fire. The men who hit us began to shoot back. I tried my best to hold back my sobs as I heard bullet after bullet being shot at us.

Leo was still fighting. He kept firing and firing, and I could hear some of the men falling to the ground lifelessly. He looked determined. He wouldn't let his boss down, and he would follow through on his mission. Leo was going to do anything to protect me.

When Leo began to slide more out of the car to get a better angle, a bullet fired into his arm before shooting him again and again. His gun fell from his hand and his body slumped against the ground.

I held my hand against my mouth to keep from screaming. My entire body was shaking as I stared at Leo who was probably dead. No one was left to help me.

I couldn't go down without at least trying to fight.

The shooting reluctantly stopped. I could hear footsteps coming closer and closer to the car. I held my gun up with a shaky hand, prepared to shoot if I truly needed to. The moment I saw their legs, I shot until he fell. I kept shooting. I'm not sure how many times I shot the fucking gun, but I couldn't stop. I couldn't hear, and I couldn't even think. I wasn't sure if who I killed and I didn't want to know. The thought would later creep up on me and squeeze me real tight around the throat and I would simply let it.

Suddenly, I was grabbed from the other side of the window. The gun fell from my hands as I screamed as loud as I possibly could. They pulled me out of the car and dragged me like a piece of meat.

I thrashed and screamed and cried. I tried to do everything I could to get away from the men. As they dragged me, I came across dead bodies. It was enough to make me lean over and throw up.

The person dragging me stopped to allow me time to puke out my entire stomach.

"Get her up! Take her to the car!" the man demanded once I finished.

A black sack was thrown over my head. No longer could I see anything. I was then picked up bridal style and carried to one of the black trucks with me kicking and screaming the entire time. They threw me in the truck and locked the doors.

"Let me out! Let me out!" I screamed, banging on whatever I could reach. The car started up and I could feel us driving down the road.

Tears were falling from my eyes as they ignored my screams and pleads.

Saint, where are you?

I didn't want to be that THAT Wattpad writer that does a cliché ass kidnapping scene. HOWEVER, it really makes sense for this story and hopefully, you'll all see it in the next couple of chapters. Trust me.

Question: who do you think Viktor is?
