《Mated to Morpheus》MTM.2

I twirled the sucker between my thumb and pointer finger before finally unwrapping it, shoving the paper covering into the back pocket of my corduroy pants and putting the blue sucker into my mouth. The taste of blue raspberry melted into my tongue, but it was more than alright, because the flavour was totally worth staining my teeth for.
My black ankle boots slapped against the concrete sidewalk. I looked up towards the clouded sky, frowning as the darkening clouds glared down at me with a vendetta. I kept on walking towards my destination, anyway. It was as though the clouds were threatening me, warning me to stay inside, though I would never listen on a day such as this. I smiled up at the sky like a chipmunk with one cheek full, "Not today, rain. It's my visiting day."
Humming sweetly, rain, rain, go away, come again another day, I kept to the farther side of the sidewalk as cars on the road zoomed past me, some drivers not even bothering with the speed limit as they rushed to get somewhere on time, just the sound of the cars fighting against the wind was enough to annoy me, a violent whoosh.
After finally making it to the front entrance, I continued walking across the path that I've been on many times before, heading towards the back where I was careful not to step on any used land.
"Hi," I spoke as soon as I got close enough, sitting down on the recently trimmed grass, off to the side, and I placed my hand lovingly on top of the stone, "Mom."
"So," I drawled, puckering my lips, and continued holding the lollipop stick away from me, "today is my birthday, my eighteenth birthday, and I have no plans."
My smile shrunk as I continued to stare at the gravestone, reading part of the short engraving aloud without actually meaning to, but more so out of habit, "Loving wife, and mother."
"I don't even think I want to have plans," I mumbled and looked down at the ground, picking at the spiky grass, "I mean, it's not as exciting as I thought it would be, so I'll probably just end up going to Amanda's coffee shop."
Staying still for a minute, I finished off my sucker with a frown on my lips and my head held low. I started to feel drops of rain hitting against the back of my neck, and the sound of light pitter-patter filled my ears, I ran a hand over my thick hair and muttered, "Great."
I scrambled to get off the ground as the rain started really pouring down, beating harshly against my body as I tried to move as fast as I could, as fast as my stubby legs could take me. My shoes slipped against any mud that was underneath my feet as I ran through the graveyard with my arms held up above my head in hopes of protecting my face from the merciless attack from the sky, the wind in on it.

My eyes scanned the area for shelter while the rain had managed to turn everything blurry, but I was able to make out the outline of a building in the distance. Deciding to give it a shot, I ran towards it and found myself standing in front of a large door. This must be the cemetery's building, the caretaker's area, or at least that's what I thought it was.
There was a symbol sticking out at me, but all I could do was squint and hope for the best. I grabbed the thick handle and gave it a pull, groaning as it didn't move at all, I tried again with the help of my body weight and thankfully it moved open just enough so that I could slip through the narrow doorway.
"Jeez-" I struggled to push the heavy door back in place, "-what are they making these doors with?"
Blowing out a breath of air, I rubbed my hands together as my eyes searched the room for a source of light. Wandering the room, I was able to find a bunch of candles that were sitting on shelves and some were even placed on the ground, the wax that was melted into the rough flooring told me that they were already used at least once, but they were good enough for now.
I took out my lighter from my hoodie pocket and pressed down fast on the button, fire lighting up in front of my face before I lowered it onto the candle wicks, making sure I got all of them. They glowed lightly.
Once I finished, the room was finally lit up enough so that I could see clearly, but the corners were still pitch black.
But that was the least of my problems as soon as my brown eyes spotted an open casket, they widened as shock filled up my senses, the top of the casket was gone, but I was quick to notice it was leaning casually against the side of the wall, as though it was never really put on in the first place.
"Oh, sugar," I whispered, covering my mouth and nose with the sleeve of my hoodie, expecting some sort of nasty smell, as my knees shook. "How did I not see that? I can't believe I just walked into some stranger's tomb."
Honestly, there was a giant casket in the middle of the room that was sitting on top of a short concrete table thing, holding it up, how did I not see that, or better yet, how did I not bang into that? The more I examined it the more I realized that I've never once seen a casket that was made as big as that one, it was taller and wider than usual, not like any I've ever seen before.

Whoever is in that, I swallowed the nervous lump in my throat, must be overly huge. Much larger than the average human.
Curiosity got the best of me as my legs moved on their own, taking small steps forward, and I had even begun leaning over slightly in an attempt to see whoever or whatever was in that casket. My back suddenly felt a coldness, almost a sting, like a hand was pushing me forward.
As I got closer I realized that it was just a man, but a very tall and muscular one, I could see every detail of his toned chest because of his lack of wearing a shirt, he was barely wearing anything besides the pair of white shorts that were hung low on his hips.
I had this uncontrollable urge to move closer, to touch him. Voices were whispering into my ear, unintelligible words, claimings. This is him.
His head was rolled over so that I could only see the side of his face, but I could see a strong jaw and an almost perfectly straight nose, there was a tiny bump just at the top. Why was I examining him? A fluttering in my stomach told me that it was okay, don't be afraid.
He doesn't look dead.
Not looking at where I was going, not even realizing that I was still moving, I let out a surprised yelp as my body fell forward after hitting my foot off of something that was sticking up from the ground, tripping me up and causing me to fall straight into the casket.
Closing my eyes as I got prepared for the impact, I threw my hands up in front of me on instinct, holding them out as they acted as some sort of shield while I continued to fall forward, but they crumbled underneath me once a warm feeling shot up my arm as soon as they hit the man's hard chest. However, my knees scraping against the side of the concrete distracted me from it.
My whimper of pain made barely any noise, nothing that would be noticeable as my face landed on top of the man's face, my lips smacked right down on the corner of his own lips.
I felt my cheeks oddly heat up as I quickly started to push myself up, ignoring the electrifying spark that his lips gave me, but I didn't even get to move an inch away before a hand clamped down on the back of my head and entwined its fingers through my big curls as it pulled me back down with force that I couldn't fight against, and as a shiver went down my spine from feeling his freezing fingertips lightly running through my hair I realized that something in me wanted it. And, they wanted it bad.
Cold lips captured mine, powerful sparks erupted between us as he continued to move his lips against mine in a rushed manner, as if he couldn't stop himself, control himself. I found myself not being able to move away, but instead it felt like something was forcing me into him, and my head tilted to the side on it's own accord. During this, my thoughts went wild as the need to stay grew, he pushed himself up on his elbow once he felt that I was indeed kissing him back.
It was short-lived once I felt his tongue sweep across my bottom lip, snapping me back into reality at the fact that I was currently kissing a man in a coffin.
Using all my strength, I shoved his body back down and threw myself so far back that I hit the wall with a thud. The spell was broke.
I watched as the man pushed himself back up again on his elbows, his head snapped instantly to where I was and I realized quickly that I was staring deep into two rage-filled green eyes.
He glared daggers at me, his eyes darkening and watching me in a way that I could only explain as feral. Fear found its way back to me as he started growling out the same word over and over, "Mate. Mate. Mate-"
A scream slipped past my lips when I saw his hands grab onto the side of his coffin, claws growing from his fingertips as his voice deepened to the point where he didn't sound human.
I went flying towards the door, throwing my body at it to get it to open faster, and as soon as I did I slammed it shut again, but before I bolted out of there completely, I took a glance at the outside of the door where I could see the symbol clearly now. Even the tears rushing down could not stop me from seeing it.
It was of a detailed shape of a man shifting into a wolf, the moon was behind him as if it was acting as a connection, the traditional symbol of the werewolves, but it was that single letter in the middle that really sold it, the bold 'M' told me exactly who was in there.
Quite literally, the man of my dreams.

After being reminded of his terrible luck in which a flashback to his family dying in a house fire is shown, he decides maximizing his luck trait should be the best choice. He is then transported into this new world, which turns out to be the world of his gacha game, Ultima Online.
