After looking around the room for what seemed like the millionth time, we ended up back in the living room, sitting on the Victorian plush couch. I couldn't get over how much I loved this space and though it was decorated by Jemma, how much it related to me.

"So how long did you live here for?" I question.

"Malena and I both lived in Clarke when we were younger. We grew up in this town up until we developed our powers. We had to leave but I had made this place my home and found it tough to leave."

"So how have you been able to keep it this whole time?"

"Well I'm part tenant of this building, a good friend of mine owns it with me so a perk was free rent. I still help pay though, send her money once a month."

"Does she..."

"No she doesn't know. I was always the adventurous type so when I told her abruptly that I was going to Italy she didn't question it. Our agreement was she wouldn't rent out the space and I would pay for half of it as if I had rented it. So she kept it up for me cause at times I would come home but not for very long."

"Why did you have to leave after you got your powers?"

She looked at me for a second before having what seemed like a lightbulb go off. She quickly got off the couch and went down the hallway that led to the kitchen and eating area. I easily followed her again and followed her to the balcony which was the window where the green wooden seating area was. The balcony space wasn't big but you could easily step onto it.

The air was warm and inviting and somewhat made me smile. But what caught me off guard was the feeling of what came with suddenly being outside. I didn't feel it when inside the apartment but that made me think that the aura of being in a witch's home overcame the feeling of whatever this was.

It was weird.

"You feel that?" she questions.

I nod my head. "Do you?" She shook her head. I was confused as to why but then I understood. "I'm on werewolf territory." She nodded. "And that made you leave- the both of you."

She nodded again. "Malena and I were new to the experience and couldn't risk being exposed for not having our gifts under control."

"But since I'm masked they can sense that a rogue is on their property, but they won't be able to pinpoint it being me."

"Correct. But you still have to be careful. Because a werewolf not being able to smell you will come off weird and will likely tip them off that you are more than just a werewolf."

I sigh. It was risky, I'm not going to lie. But this situation was better than being captured by my brothers, surely. It was a risk that I was willing to take.

Standing outside for a minute longer, we went back inside and went back to the living space. I thought this over but then thought of something.

"I want to pay rent," I say, somewhat catching Jemma off-guard.

"You don't-"

"You've helped me more than I can count so let me do this. I don't care about the prophecy or my future, I want to do this as my thanks."

Knowing better than to fight me on this, she eventually nods her head. As I thought she would.

Jemma had eventually left after an hour of me being here. Currently I was unloading the little things that I had in my suitcase, watching how my clothes magically hung themselves on the available hangers. As they continued to hang themselves, I searched on my laptop of places that I could exchange my France currency into American dollars.

In my savings I had 835.55 Euros, which was equivalent to $1,000 in US currency. After a finding a place that was about an hour from my current location, I went into looking for a job. Rent here was only $200 so I could last for a while but I refused to not work. Jemma had mentioned that there was a nearby diner not too far from the apartment that I could look into for work but if that didn't work then I needed a backup plan.

The jobs I wanted as working as a chef couldn't be easily obtained since they'd need references or be able to call previous employers. Seeing how my previous employers have no recollection of me, that was a bust and useless.

I sigh at how frustrated I was about it but I couldn't do anything either. All I want to do is cook but knew better than to jeopardize this for myself.

As I was scrolling through the search pages, I suddenly felt a weird feeling overcome my body. It somewhat felt like I did when I stepped out on the balcony with Jemma but somehow this was different. In a way... it hurt. Like thousands of little pricks pricking me throughout my body. And as it continued, remaining this subtle yet uncomfortable feeling, I suddenly became hot, sweating bullets in fact.

I quickly placed my laptop on my bed, taking off the loose fitted shirt I had on, leaving me in my bra. My breathing began to quicken and the lack of clothing that was continuing to come off didn't help my situation.

Nakedly running to the bathroom, I turn the cold water on in the tub, plugging it up so that it could fill. While I waited, I went to the sink and turn on the cold tap, running my hands underneath it and bring it to my face. In all honesty, it barely helped my situation and I needed something colder.

Placing my toe into the rising water in the tub, I ultimately decided on the fact that I needed ice. Fast. Having grabbed a silk red robe from the back of the bathroom door, not feeling comfortable walking around this new apartment naked just yet, I ran to the kitchen and scoped out ice in the fridge. Surprisingly finding a big bag of it in the freezer, I grabbed a meat tenderizer and quickly beat it against the bag of ice before I was satisfied that the ice was broken.

Quickly running back to my bathroom where the tub was nearly full of cold water. Shutting off the water, I put the bag of ice in the water and got inside it. The cold temperature somewhat shocked me but I was welcoming it as it settled the overbearing amount of heat resonating through my body.

I sighed of relief at my body temperature so going back to normal. I welcomed the cold of the water and the ice and didn't get out until my body turned purple.

I wasn't sure what the feeling met or why it happened. But if it were one thing I could guess, it was going to happen again, and I'd definitely need more bags of ice on deck.
