《Alpha Dylan》Chapter 51 | Epilogue

"Sophia, slow down please! Don't hurt yourself!" I laughed at my daughter, watching as Ethan chased her around the clearing, grabbing her quickly and setting her on top of his shoulders.
"Got you!" he exclaimed, causing Sophia to giggle uncontrollably, wiping her bouncy curls away from her red face.
I turned to see an exhausted Dylan making his way over to me, running his hands through his now longer black hair, his chin even more stubbly than usual from days of not shaving. "Right, Sonny is finally down for his nap. Gia is watching over him for a little while."
I sighed in relief, nodding. "Thank God."
"Who's idea was it to have another baby this soon after Sophia?" teased my mate, wrapping his arm around my shoulder, pressing a soft kiss to the side of my face.
"He's adorable, though. He looks just like you. Plus, my Dad is obsessed with them!"
"I'm not adorable," growled Dylan playfully, rolling his eyes, focusing his gaze on Ethan and Dean who were chasing our daughter around at the front of our home, Jared and Matthew chuckling from the sideline, guarding Sophia's sacred teddy bear whilst she played.
"You kind of are," I giggled.
Suddenly, one of our fighters jogged over, barely out of breath, but his face a little uneasy. "Alpha, Luna, there is someone at our borders wanting to speak to you. We haven't allowed her entry yet, but she says she's not going anywhere until she gets to see you both."
Dylan nodded immediately, his thick brows furrowing together as he stood up, taking my hand in his, nodding over at Dean and Ethan who returned it quickly.
Making my way over to my daughter, I grabbed her hand, bringing it to my lips and kissing it softly. "Sophia, stay here with the boys for a bit, Mommy and Daddy are just going to head off for a bit to check something out, but we will be right back and we can continue playing!"
"Okay," she replied, smiling up at me, blowing Dylan and I a quick kiss before turning back to Ethan, giggling as she poked him in the cheek.
Dylan and I followed our fighter across the clearing, easily keeping up with him as we jogged across the grass, quickly entering the forest, stripping off and shifting into our wolves, carrying our clothes with us as we moved.
Our paws padded against the soil, leaving large indents in the thick mud, the only sound being our laboured pants as we pushed ourselves through the trees, eventually reaching a few more fighters, standing tall with stern faces.

"Alpha, there is a girl here who wishes to speak to you both," one of the fighters spoke, nodding their head respectfully at Dylan and I.
We shifted, quickly pulling on our clothes, noticing how the fighters averted their eyes away from me, wanting to show respect.
"Show yourself," I spoke, holding my head up high, wanting to come across as intimidating as possible.
The bushes rustled, and as they parted, out stepped a young girl I hadn't seen for many years, her face as cold as stone.
"Amelia?" I questioned, my eyes widening, causing Dylan to growl.
"Amelia, you are a rogue. You are not welcomed back here," snarled Dylan, taking a step forwards, pushing his chest out.
Amelia nodded, her chapped lips wobbling as she looked between Dylan and I, pushing her messed up hair out of her face. "I know, I'm sorry."
"It's been three whole years. What are you doing back here?" I asked, still feeling furious that she had left years ago without a 'goodbye' to my brother, leaving him to suffer alone without her.
"I think you know why I'm here," she said, cocking her head at me, taking in my now hard exterior.
Since becoming a Luna, I had learned how to take control, power radiating off of me, my confidence at an all time high. I had found it difficult at first, always wanting to put emotions into my decisions, but I knew that I couldn't always do that, and I had to do what was best for the pack.
"If you're here to see him, don't bother," I spoke, shaking my head.
"Why?" questioned Amelia, taking a step forwards, causing the fighters in front of us to let out a warning growl.
"He's been the happiest these past three years than he's ever been. You're not about to ruin this for him, Amelia," growled Dylan, his eyes dark.
"We're mates!"
"Then you should have though about that three years ago before you got with other guys and then left! Now, get away from our territory, or we will remove you by force!"
"My parents are here!" cried Amelia, her nose running.
"I warned you about this when you decided to leave that night of the party, Amelia," spoke my mate. "I said if you left, you would be leaving everyone behind."
"Just let me speak to Jared, please. He'll still want me, I know he will!"
Dylan and I exchanged a look, knowing full well that Amelia was wrong, and that longing feeling she was talking about no longer existed for my brother. However, Salah had made it clear that she wasn't sure whether seeing his mate would reverse what she had done for Jared, and there was no way I was willing to take that risk.

"You will never be given permission to enter this territory, Amelia. Leave my brother alone. He doesn't want you anymore." I said calmly, feeling my wolf itching to get out again inside of me.
"You're wrong. He'll always want his mate," she whimpered, tears dribbling down her cheeks.
I shook my head, a growl working it's way up my throat. "Go, now."
Amelia glared at me, shaking her head before turning away, her fists balled up by her side. "He'll want me back one day, and when he does, I'll be there for him. In the end, I know he will choose me, Clara."
Dylan opened his mouth to say something, but I gazed at him, shaking my head, letting him know that Amelia wasn't worth it.
I wished it had gone another way, but there really was no point in Amelia coming back, not that the bond had been broken on Jared's end.
I didn't know how she would react if she found out what the witch had done, but I had a feeling we didn't want to know. Judging by her aggressive outburst on the night of the party, I was guessing she would have done the same, hurting Jared emotionally again in the process.
Amelia quickly shifted into her small light coloured wolf, lurking back into the forest, the sound of her breathing slowly fading as she moved further and further away from our territory, causing a sigh of relief to come out of my mouth.
"I can't believe that just happened," I said, nodding at the fighters, thanking them, before taking Dylan's hand, strolling back through the forest towards our home.
"She made her choice years ago. Why did she decide to come back now? What's changed?" mumbled Dylan to himself, clearly aggravated.
"It's fine. She's gone now," I said, giving his hand a quick squeeze. "The fighters know her scent now and what she looks like. If she ever tries to come back, they'll deal with her."
"I just don't want her coming back and making things turn ugly. Sophia and Sonny don't need to see anything like that."
"Hey," I said, stopping and standing in front of my mate, grabbing his face in my hands, forcing him to look down at me. "They won't. Everything will be fine."
"I'm so lucky to have you," whispered Dylan as he kissed me softly, grabbing my hand and walking towards the tree line alongside me, our house coming back into view.
I turned to see a smile creeping up onto Dylan's face as he watched his cousin throw Sophia up into the air, catching her as she came back down again.
"You're glad he came back," I stated, causing my mate to raise his eyebrows questionably at me.
"Hmm," he hummed, crossing his arms across his chest.
"Don't lie, Dylan. Look at how happy everyone is," I laughed, smiling as Dylan grabbed me, hoisting my onto his back, beginning to jog across the clearing. I laughed in shock, wrapping my arms around his neck as tightly as I could, hopping off when we reached our house.
"That was fast," stated Dean, which made Dylan shrug.
"Daddy!" yelled Sophia, toddling up to him, flashing a cheeky smile, laughing as Dylan lifted her up with one arm, kissing her cheek softly.
"Who was it?" asked Jared.
Dylan and I looked over at each other, our mouths set in firm lines as we took in each other's expression.
"No one. It was absolutely no one," I replied, turning my attention towards my daughter in my mate's arms.
"Yeah," agreed Dylan. "Just some rogue. We took care of it."
"Well, when I'm a fighter, I'll be the one taking care of it!" announced Jared, causing Dean to smile, nodding in agreement.
"Hey! Clara!" called Gia from the house, causing me to spin around. "Sonny is crying again! I'm not good with babies! Please help!"
"Coming!" I laughed, rolling my eyes.
"Do you need me to do it?" asked Dylan, going to put our daughter down, but I held out my hand, stopping him.
"I've got it," I chuckled.
I smiled to myself, happiness overwhelming me at the thought of how perfect everything was. I may have been running on two hours sleep, and I had to spend all my free time changing diapers and cleaning up food spillages and vomit, but would I change a thing?
No, no I wouldn't.
Despite the fact that Jared and I had been abducted by Sawyer and had almost been killed, and our Mother had left us for a second time, it only spurred me on to become the best Mother to my children.
I couldn't wait to see what the future held for us.

Ian replied shifting his head away from the painting to look directly at her, staring into her eyes. While he started taking small steps in her direction."You really want to know why we are here." He asked again still moving forward. His voice was deep and hoarse and the way he was looking at her, made her take some steps back that was until her back hit the wall. Without saying anything he leaned forward placing both of his arms around her so that she was now trapped between him and the wall. He moved his face forward directly in front of her.Lisa could feel his hot breathe on her neck as he bent forward to place his mouth on her neck, placing a tender kiss there. Lisa took a large gulp of air trying to control the tingles, she was feeling down there."I was jealous, Lisa," He breathed out in her ears placing yet another kiss just below her earlobe. "I was jealous when you took hold of Cole's hand. I was jealous when you let that piece of shit place his hands on you. I was jealous when you danced with him. I was jealous, Lisa, very jealous." He continued as he removed his mouth from her neck, leaning forward to stare directly into her eyes."So let me tell you the truth. I am a very possessive man, Lisa and I don't share what's mine. And when it comes to you I certainly can't control myself." He concluded as he closed the gap and placed his lips on her.
