Saga of the Soul Dungeon
When Caden dies in an accidental fall, he is merged with a dungeon core in another world. The problem with that? The dungeon core wasn't dead, and he has share mind-space with it. And that doesn't take into account mastering his new abilities well enough to escape from the powerful wizard that is, understandably, leery about allowing a dungeon to escape. Even after he manages to escape he needs to found and manage a dungeon. Of course the location he chose might have a few issues of its own. He is on the border of two human nations who are not particularly pleased to share. A sentient plant race claims the dungeon as sacred ground. And, amidst the chaos, teams of adventurers just want to make a living and figure out how to deal with the latest challenge. Just so readers know, Caden is not a murder-hobo. He is a genuinely nice person trying to make the best of his situation. If you want a main character that revels in killing people, this is not the book for you. This is a reworking, and continuation, of my original novel into first person. And it is going great! The writing is well past where my original novel got to. This work will never be dropped. The Lost Crest
It started in the research building when a black hole appeared and devoured everyone in it. Finn, a wealthy boy, was one such person. He finds himself in the middle of a desert, naked with only his friend by his side. He soon has to realize that he is in a completely different world when people force him into slavery. His missing sister only adds to his troubles, and his cowardly best friend, packed with a group of delusional slaves don't help him either. But it won't take long for him to realize that nothing is as it seems, loyalties are put into question and add in a few conspiracies and you've got your back against the wall doubting those you trust most. Will he escape the hopeless grasp of darkness, or will he succumb to the brutality of this harsh reality? Can he find his sister? The various races inhabiting the World have evolved from modern day humans after the discovery and use of a new source of radiant energy called Anima, stemming from the psyche. Under its influence, races with traits of previously fantastical creatures have emerged, who still resemble the humanity which gave them birth. These Dragons are served by a race of draconic entities, with skin pockmarked by scales, and possess horns growing out of their heads.
