《Alpha Daryl Reeds》Chapter 16

Daryl was actually giving me a chance at this dating thing, he had asked me out like a school boy asking out his crush with flowers, he was so cute. He had dressed up in a suit and knocked on my bedroom door.
I stood in front of the bathroom mirror I haven't been on a date since my best friend used to take me out, my parents thought I'd be his mate, he was the first guy I slept with not that I told Daryl that yet, if we were going to try to date I had to open up and get to know him and he'd have to get me.
I wore a brown and white dress with flowers on the brown part, the white had a sweetheart neckline which showed way too much boob because my boobs were huge. I was nervous but I was happy not many of the females I talked to who found out their mate was or is I mean was nice enough to try, they just wanted them around to have sex and babies and that's it.
I knew they fell in love with their mates some time later but still it was months or years later, but Daryl and I had a few months of that and I want to try and be different. I couldn't stop thinking of his twin brother either, what had happened? How did Daryl become Alpha and not Darren? I didn't know who was older I didn't know the rules of twins and I didn't even know he had a twin. Out of all the stories I've heard of Daryl never did we know he had a brother another sibling.
I guess I wouldn't find anything out without getting to know my mate. I also didn't understand the whole mate thing. No one really did but no one questioned it even though a lot of girls ended up with terrible mates, and mostly Alphas. I just had so much to think about.
I haven't been on a date in forever and I am super nervous. I know Daryl is going to laugh at me, I'm going to make a fool of myself. Sighing to myself I opened the door before Daryl could knock again. He's jaw dropped up and I almost laughed.
"Close your mouth you'll catch a bug." I said not the smoothest.

He snapped his jaw closed. "You look very beautiful." He says looking me up and down, I wanted to cross my arms and hide the fact that I thought my shoulders looked naked.
"Thank you." I tell him "you don't look so bad yourself."
He really didn't, he was in long black pants and a nice jacket over a white button down shirt. A tie that matched his dark eyes. He looked hot and for the first time, I felt like I was supposed to be the rush of the mate bound. I blushed at the dirty thoughts of my wolf.
"Are you ready?" He asks me not looking me in the face or the blush on my face. It was the first time I saw him. He hid his left hand behind his back.
"Yes," I tell him, he then hands me a bunch of roses, I gasp and nearly dropped them. They were beautiful. A mix of red, white and pink. My favorite colors.
"How -" Dary cuts me off. "Your brothers were more than helpful answering some questions." Daryl tells me now it was his turn to blush.
He asked what brother? Oh boy, what did Daryl know about me now? "Lovely," I mumble.
Daryl waits for me to put them on my dresser where I had placed the last flowers of sunflowers, I didn't really like the color orange. I think Daryl knew that but he didn't say anything about the fact. Daryl walked me out to his car, he held the door open for me.
I got in the car, and he got into the driver's side. He turned the radio on to country, after he found out I liked it, when I told him his taste in music sucked and that we would listen to what I want. If I had to be his mate in some cruel look of fate he'd have to listen to what I wanted so that ended his back talk.
We went out of town which wasn't hard to do since we lived in a tiny town. Population 90% werewolf packs and 10% humans. He drove as I sang along to a song on the radio trying not to be loud so that Daryl wouldn't hear my horrible singing.
When he parked into a Mexican restaurant I knew he'd been talking to Axel. I was going to kill him, then I stopped tears coming to my eyes. I took a deep breath and I couldn't think like that anymore. I hopped out of the car before Daryl could open it for me.

I wasn't big on letting men do that I could open the door for myself. I had two arms and two legs that worked perfectly. The restaurant wasn't crowded even for a Saturday night, the host was female, human from the way she looked at Daryl. He didn't bother to look at her, she welcomed him a little more warmly than necessary and Daryl just kept on looking at me. She was several inches taller than me and she had an unnatural hair color.
"A table for two?" Daryl asked. "Somewhere private."
She looked at me like she was noticing me for the first time. She led us around a partition of small booths. Most were full of couples of all ages, but it was quiet and private.
"How is this?" She asked.
Daryl smiled a rare smile at her and said; "perfect."
She smiled back at him and told us our server's name and said she'd be right with us.
Daryl pushed in my chair in. he waited for me to sit down before sitting down across from me. We sat in awkward silence for a few minutes before our waiter came over to get our drinks. Another human girl who couldn't keep her damn eyes off of Daryl.
I wish we hadn't come to the human side of town. "Hi I'm Ashley and I'll be your server tonight anything I can start you off with?" She said. I noticed that she was only talking to Daryl. I knew I wasn't hard to miss, and I don't think she really believed he was by himself.
He looked at me.
"Do you have pepsi?" I asked.
She turned towards me, her smile disappearing. "Yes," she told me I could tell she was disappointed with the fact Daryl had a lady with him.
"I'll take one two." Daryl told our waitress.
Once she was gone I turned towards Daryl. "How do you do that?" I snapped a little.
"Do what?" He asked.
"How do you make it seem like you're the only person every girl sees?" I asked.
He smiled. Which looked good on him, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"The hostess and our waitress completely pretended that I wasn't standing right next to you."
"I didn't notice, I was looking at how good you look in that dress, and what you'd look like without it on." Daryl said.
I blushed I was still red when the waitress came back with our drinks, standing way too close to Daryl and putting bother drinks in front of him, and out of my reach. Daryl didn't even look up at her, not even when she asked if we were ready to order.
I ordered as Daryl looked over the menu. He told me that he hadn't eaten in a restaurant in awhile. Not even with the side girl he had, I felt the need to slap him for bringing her up but I didn't.
He finally ordered and we talked, it was nice. I already knew a few things about him. Yes, he had a twin and the reason is when Daryl's mother passed away Darren wanted to become Alpha so their father could retire and grief for the loss of his wife. Their father told Darren that he wasn't responsible enough to take on being Alpha. So he made Daryl Alpha instead, Darren then ran off and hadn't been heard for a few years before he showed up with a mate.
He said that since he had a mate first that he should be Alpha, and when their father since said no and that it was too late, Darren promised he'd become Alpha when he made plans for Daryl's death. Darren attacked one night and made good on his promise he ended up killing his own father and after that Daryl made sure not to let Darren come around.
When he kidnapped me, and had his mate let me free, Daryl went to kill Darren but by then Darren had moved his pack. Daryl didn't know his next move, but Daryl hoped that Darren wouldn't come after me again.
