*third update for today**

Nyx's pov

"Come in." He called before I could even knock on the door, he had smelled me already. I took in deep breaths, opened the door and walked into the office feeling really nervous.

He was sitting at the table with his shirt half unbuttoned, his hair was scattered due to what I guess was running his fingers through it often and he looked really stressed yet still sexy, papers were scattered all over the table.

"Hi." I said shyly and he looked up at me. He gave me a small smile before standing up, walking up to me and drawing me into a big hug. He dropped his nose down to my neck and inhaled my scent deeply. I knew he did that to calm him down as he was definitely stressed out, "Are you okay?" I asked calmly as he drew away from me and placed his hands on my hips.

"I was losing it for a moment there, till you came in." He said dropping a kiss on my head, he needed me? My heart fluttered at his gesture and words as I felt really important at the moment, "Did you need anything?"

"Yea..." I trailed off, "I wanted to ask you something."

"Anything you want mate." He smiled at me rubbing small circles at my waist igniting sparks. I wanted to bolt.

Don't you dare! Hera growled at me, Ask him please, I really need this.

As much as I wanted to ask him, I also wanted to bolt. These sweet gestures, nice speeches, kisses and soft gazes, I was new to them. I wasn't used to being treated this right.

Lycus had hated me right from when I came, fine, he was on a spell but it worked with the hate he already had. I knew he was only getting closer to me to break it, I was also getting more confident in myself as we spent more time together but maybe Hera was right. Maybe she is right about this not being about the spell, maybe he wanted me as a mate now.

"You seem to be in deep thought." He furrowed his brows at me, "Are you okay?"

"I am fine." I nodded, "I just wanted to ask you something."

"Go on."

"My wolf wants to meet yours."

Hera jumped up and down in excitement as Lycus held my hand leading me out of the office. He had agreed much to my surprise, and it only gave me more hope of him finally accepting me as his mate.

"Hello Lycus." A high pitched voice called halting us in our tracks. He groaned as he turned to look making me giggle a bit, it was the Beta.

"What do you want?" He asked her gruffly, "Be quick about it."

"We are supposed to hang out today remember and also finish up the other work." She said batting her lids at him and twirling her hair strands between her fingers.

"Laya..." He sighed.

I looked up at him wondering what she was talking about, "What are you doing with her?" She asked giving me a look of disgust.

"It's none of your damn concern." He said to her and I smirked internally, "If you would excuse me." He nodded at her before moving with me.

"Wait.." She called after him and we both turned, "What about our plans for today?"

"I have more important things to do." He squeezed my hand tightly and I felt my insides turn to jelly at his words, did he just pick me over her?

The expression on her face was priceless and I wished I had my phone with me to capture it, she looked at us with her mouth agape as Lycus held my hand leading me away as a small smile crept on my lips.

We got out of the pack house and he took me towards the forest area where I had gone for a run before fay had attacked me. We got there and he signalled the guards stationed there to go away for us to have enough privacy.

We went deeper into the bushes till we got to an enclosed space.

"Strip." He ordered and then he began to remove his own clothing. I looked at him dumbfounded as he took off his shirt, "You heard me Nyx."

"Turn around please." I pleaded, I didn't want him to see me naked, I didn't want him to see my really ugly body even if I know he has probably seen it when I was unconscious and had seen other parts during our heated moments. I couldn't stand him seeing me stark naked in broad day light while I was still very conscious.

"No." He smirked at me leaning against a tree in just his trousers, "I won't turn around." He said looking me straight in the eye and I knew he was dead serious.

I gulped and turned away from him before gingerly removing my clothes. I was about to turn around when I felt a presence behind me.

A hand snaked around my naked waist drawing me closer to him as the other hand caressed my hair, "It grew longer." He said and I knew he had noticed how uneven my hair had been.

His fingers drew patterns on my waist line eliciting sparks which made me tremble in pleasure and his other hand came to my neck, wrapping his hand around it, he squeezed tightly causing me to moan lowly.

"It's taking me a lot of will power not to slam you against the tree and fuck you till you can't move." He whispered in my ear and my breath hitched in my throat at his crude words, heat pooled between my legs, "I wonder if you will be able to take that?" He whispered kissing my neck. I could feel his bulge behind me pressed against my back.

"Why don't you try and I see?" I spoke back at him and his hand tightened around my throat, the inner vixen in me surfaced and my arousal heightened.

"Don't test me little mate." His hand caressed my butt and then he spanked it hard causing me to yelp, "When I finally get to fuck you." He squeezed my ass, "I will tear that tight pussy of yours apart and make you cum so hard, you won't remember your name." He slapped my ass again, "I can smell your arousal." His teeth grazed my ear, "Let's see how well you can handle me when I start with you." And with that he drew away from me leaving me in a panting horny mess, "But for now, lets go on that run."

Fuck you! I wanted to say as I heard him pull off the rest of his clothing, he left me horny and bothered and has the audacity to say lets go on that run.

"Shift." I heard him command and I did exactly as he said. The cracking of bones sounded as I gave Hera ultimate control and soon she had taken over completely.

She turned around to see a huge black wolf standing in front of her. His aura was majestic yet intimidating. He looked upon Hera with what I would called admiration as he walked towards us taking slow and calculated steps.

"Hello Mate." He growled lowly causing Hera to shy away, "I am Spyro." He got closer to her and she bowed before him.

"Arise." He commanded, "You are my equal." She did as he said and he snuggled against her feeling her fur and taking in her scent, "You smell nice, what is your name beautiful?"

"You will have to catch me before I tell you." Hera said finally speaking up, what the hell are you doing? I questioned her.

Having fun, She smirked at me before turning her attention back to Spyro.

"Are you challenging me?"

"Maybe I am." She said to him before turning and sprinting away. It wasn't long before we heard the sound of heavy paws hitting the dirt ground beneath us.

Soon we were cornered and pushed to the ground with Spyro standing above us in his full form, "You thought you could run away from me?" I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Maybe I can." Hera managed to escape from him and kept running, this time she ran faster and he increased his pace tracking us down.

I smiled seeing Hera was really enjoying herself and Spyro was humouring her, if only Lycus and I were like that.

He caught up with her soon again and tackled her to the ground. We were near a clear stream now with a lot of tall trees surrounding it, the scene was beautiful.

Spyro nugged Hera and she stood up running into the water with him following her right into it, "What's your name mate?" He asked again splashing water on her.

"It's Hera." She replied and he pushed her with his paws, she felt into the lower part of the stream.

"That's a beautiful name." He said rubbing her snout with his. Hera was already a blushing mess on the inside and I was definitely going to tease her for it later.

After a long time of playing and getting to know each other more, our wolves decided that they were tired and wanted to head back. We went back to where we had changed and shifted and quickly changed back.

"I had a great time today." Lycus said wrapping a hand around my waist as we got closer to the castle.

"I love spending time with you." I said to him and he smiled, is it just to break the spell? I wanted to ask but I decided to keep shut, just enjoy the moment Nyx.

"I got things to do now." He said, "See you later." He drew me in for a hug before dropping a heated kiss on my lips, he didn't even mind that we are in public. He didn't mind that people saw.

He dropped another kiss on my forehead before finally leaving me and walking away. Hera did somersaults inwardly as I stood there smiling at his retreating form like an idiot.

It seems the moon goddess had finally decided to smile at me, my mate was spending more time with me and no one was hurting me and maybe he might even decide to love me too.

My life is going great, I am beginning to feel a ting of happiness.

I am beginning to feel happy.
