《Mated to Morpheus》MTM.7

Viviana loves her bags, I thought to myself as I smoothed my hand over the folded up, silky fabric that she had pulled out of her bag just minutes before, it's really more of an obsession.
She finished tucking in her loose, black, round neck t-shirt into the light washed jeans that she had just pulled on, overall it went very well together, and I noticed that Viviana had smiled to herself once she threw her little, black, leather backpack over her shoulder.
It seemed as though she always found a way to sneak things into my room, even the leather backpack was tucked away in the back of one of my dresser drawers.
She knows, glancing up at her with awe in my brown eyes, the look of being proud evident in them as I concluded my very own theory of her confidence, that she is a very fashionable woman.
Viviana's freakishly long ponytail nearly hung all the way down to her hips, she quickly flicked her black hair behind her, and it swayed back and forth slowly before it relaxed by going straight down the middle of her back. As the movement replayed over and over in my mind, her fingers soon snapped in front of my blank face, the glossy grey colour of her acrylic nails pulled me out of my trance.
"Well?" She spoke, and one of her matching black eyebrows lifted up as she continued, "Aren't you going to try it on?"
"Right," I answered, sounding breathless as I stood up from my bed with the thin pile of clothing held tightly in my hands, and I noticed that she put her hands on her hips when I had started walking out of the room.
Going through the hallway, I looked down at the light blue colour of the new fabric, and even when I was attempting to shut the bathroom door behind me, I was still examining it.
Stripping down, I threw my pyjamas on the tiled floor and pulled on the soft dress that Viviana had insisted I should wear because it would look 'hot'.
Looking down at the ground, seeing only the very bottom of the mirror's view, I was able to see my bare knees and the bottom half of my pale thighs as the short dress would only cover so much. My eyes wandered up over the big, brown buttons in the front that held it together until they went completely past the black tiles of the cold floor and towards the full length of the tall mirror that was hung on the bathroom door. My coffee eyes nearly jumped out of my head once I caught sight of the tightened top piece.

The very top button had already been forcibly popped off and the one just beneath it was threatening to come apart, the fabric wrapped around the button was barely hanging on and the button itself was begging to be undone.
Now, she can't possibly expect me to wear this, does she?
Huffing, I grabbed the bundle of my worn pyjamas and rushed back to my bedroom with the pile in my arms to see Viviana sitting down while she waited for me to return. Dropping the clothes I had in my arms, they fell flat against the floor, and I crossed my arms over my large chest as I gave her an accusing glare.
"You did this on purpose," I said.
Her electric blue eyes widened and her mouth dropped open as she innocently defended herself, a hand rested on the top of her chest, "I don't know exactly what I'm being accused of. Now, what did I do this time that was so bad?"
My arms flew open, slapping against the side of my thighs before I pointed a finger at her, and just about yelled, "You purposely brought me a dress that would-" lowering my voice, "-would show off my jigglies!"
Uncrossing her legs, she stood up to her tall height, and it only took about two steps to reach me. Her hand reached up towards the front of my dress, her nails pushing the button through the fabric loop, and it instantly came undone. "Oops, my mistake. Looks like you just have to deal with some cleavage, babe."
Her last excuse for dressing me up in one of her outfits was, 'Well, you know, I thought we could spice up your attire a little bit. See, it does suit your complexion!'
I rolled my eyes at her, "Are you sure this suits me? I feel like I look weird."
"You look great," she reassured me. She is good to me, so very good. Viviana is the only one who can give me the attitude to wear something I would like to wear, but feel like I can't.
I stared at her, searching her eyes for a sign that would tell me, 'it's a no', but I didn't get one. Instead, all I got was a friendly smile that gave away all of her excitement, and by friendly I mean crazy, but I tried ignoring that mad scientist look in her eyes.

Too good to be true, I thought as soon as she opened her mouth to add on something, "Very promiscuous," she winked.
Groaning loudly, I smacked my hands against my face, "Why are we even leaving, can't we just stay inside all day?"
"No can do," She answered, laughing quietly as she did so, "Max and Johnny are already waiting for us at Amanda's."
My hands fell to my sides and ran over the skirt of my dress. Making a bleh noise, I asked, "Why can't they just come here? I want to live the rest of my life in my house, away from the outside world, and maybe adopt a cat or two."
She grabbed my hand, "You're overthinking this, Emery, by a lot. So, don't you worry your pretty little head-" she rubbed her other hand over the top of my messy, frizzy hair, "-everything will be perfectly fine. We'll go outside, hang out with our friends-"
"Correction," I interrupted, "I have full faith that in the amount of time it takes for us to leave my bedroom, go down the stairs, and stop at the front door, that I will have officially changed your mind about going outside."
"You're crazy, you know that?" She asked playfully, shaking her head before she said, "Now, we should get going before Johnny calls complaining that we're taking too long."
Before I could get another word out, which was going to be a very long rant about Johnny's own time-consuming getting ready routine, Viviana was dragging me down the stairs and forcing me to put on my shoes. So, I shoved on a set that I thought relatively matched my outfit, and watched as Viviana put on her pair of black, low top sneakers, being a complete shock from her regular choice of footwear, that being heels.
The walk from my house to the coffee shop seemed especially long.
"Viviana," I groaned, stretching out her name until I ran out of breath, and I threw my head back dramatically when my shoe clad foot hit against the hard sidewalk for about the thousandth time in the past fifteen minutes.
"Almost there," Viviana cooed teasingly, "we just have to get past this big, heavy door."
I almost cringed at the mention of yet another heavy door, pushing past her as she pulled the door open for us and muttering a complaint on my way in, "Stupid doors, tombs need locks."
Shaking my head at the awkward memory, a thought ran through my mind, it was like I wasn't thinking at all, like I wasn't even in control.
Not bothering to look back, knowing very well that Viviana would have been looking at me with nothing but confusion, I stepped into the warm, comforting coffee shop, Amanda's.
Even if the place was packed full I would have still been able to hear the surprised gasp that came from across the room, and my head snapped towards the direction of the sound to instantly lock eyes with the blond man known as Johnny while he fanned his face with his hand. Stomping my way over to our regular table, along the way I tried to stuff my hands into my pockets, but sadly there wasn't any.
"Don't say a word," I hissed to Johnny as soon as I slithered into the seat next to him, but he ignored me and threw his arm around my shoulders.
"I see you're showing off the girls today, I'm impressed!" Johnny's lighthearted observation carved a smile on my face, "Did you find it in Viviana's closet?"
As if on cue, Viviana sat down across from me and wiggled her way into her mate's arms, Max wasted no time in wrapping himself around her.
"Isn't it cute?" Viviana gushed, smiling widely and looking at me as if she was a proud parent, "It looks so good on her."
"Definitely," Johnny agreed, but his excited expression turned playful as he lifted up a blond, coloured in eyebrow, and smirked, "if only our new Alpha was here."
"You know?" I whined, pushing my head against the table, and Johnny gently rubbed his hand up and down my back. Of course, I should know by now just how fast information can travel in a pack.
"Poor thing," Johnny's voice hit my ears, but what he said next made my blood freeze, "too bad you'll have to see him tonight."
