Arya's POV -

"Oh fucking christ, why-why didn't we just go ice skating or something instead?!?" James says with his shoulders tensed up, all the while staring up at one of the giant mountain's we're supposed to ski down.

"Um," I mumble since I didn't really have an answer. I peer down at the ski's I'm wearing and wrap my fingers tighter around the ski poles. Rome and Elijah are sitting at one of the benches getting their own equipment on while James and I are looking at the mountain.

I've been skiing a few times and that was when it snowed at home. I wasn't terrible at it but It's been a while since I've done it. I'm definitely rusty and going on this giant mountain was probably a bad idea but hey.

We're in Italy so we might as well take some risks. I just hope I don't break a leg or something.

"Have you ever skied, James?"

"You think I'd be this terrified if I did?" His wide eyes meet mine and I feel a little bad for him but he also looks a little funny with his scared expression while having his helmet and goggles above his head.

Rome is probably a ski expert since he's from here. I don't know about Elijah.

Soon the two from the bench make their way over, sliding on the ski's.

"Ready?" Rome asks, tilting his head towards the line for the ski lift. It's actually not that long of a line which is surprising.

"Ho così finito, morirò oggi." James puts his hands together in a praying motion and looks at the sky.

(I'm so done for, I'm going to die today.)

"You're going to be fine you idiot, come on." Elijah pushes him towards the lift and James nearly trips over himself.

"Don't push me!" Elijah rolls his eyes and makes James go first before following.

"You don't have to go down this one if you don't want. We can find a smaller hill." Rome says, his goggles resting on top of his head. He considers that mountain just a hill???

"Oh I'm going down alright, I've skied enough."

"How many times?" He raises a dark brow and I swallow.

"Uh, two or three."

He hums and lets me go in front of him. I'll be totally fine, I'm sure.

"Ah fuck, fuck." James rants as we get in line. Elijah and James get on the lift first and then we follow.

Why did I struggle to get on the lift? I don't remember it being this hard.

Eventually we're in the air and I try not to look down knowing I'll freak out. I place my goggles over my eyes so the snow doesn't attack my face and Rome does the same.

Somehow I can still hear James yelling and I can clearly see him latching onto Elijah like his life depends on it. I laugh to myself as Elijah shoves him to the other side of the lift.

We make it to the top and I nearly fall flat on my face trying to get off the lift. Luckily Rome got off with ease and caught me. Holy cow, I didn't know it was that difficult to get off.

"Maybe we should go back down." James gestures to the lifts going down the mountain. "We can just jump on one when It's clear and ride it."

"If you want to go down go the correct way." Rome blocks James' path and he frowns, turning towards the mountain.

"Fuck!" He cusses again and I cover my mouth with my gloved hand to keep myself from laughing.

There's not too many people up here so we line up at the edge. I'll be totally honest It's a bit scary. I haven't gone down a mountain this high.

"Nope, I'm not doing it. Get out of my way." James attempts to shove past Elijah.

Elijah smirks darkly and James' expression turns wary. "W-Why are you giving me that look?"

Without saying anything Elijah turns James around and pushes him over the edge of the mountain.

He lets out a terrifying scream as he starts flying down the mountain, desperately trying to twist the skies to control the speed he's going at.

Elijah chuckles and takes off after him, easily going down the mountain which means he has some experience.

James was able to get down about halfway but then I watch in horror as he faceplants in the snow and Elijah skies past him.

"Just don't do what James did." Rome speaks from beside me, giving me a small smile.

"Right," I mutter and then adjust the poles in my hands before slowly sliding over the edge. Luckily I know how to control my speed so I don't go incredibly fast like James had.

Rome easily catches up to me as I'm going down, easing to stay a little behind me.

I catch sight of James attempting to get up, shaking his head. He turns around and sees the two of us coming. He waves and shifts a little to my right, most likely blocking Rome's path.

"James! Get out of the way!" I scream but he either doesn't hear me or ignores it, jumping up and down in his skis.

I sway over to my right so I don't hit him and James stays in the same spot he's in.

Slowing down the speed I was originally going at, my jaw drops as James literally jumps in front of Rome's path and the two collide, falling down into the snow.

"Oh my gosh!" I scream as they both remain on the ground.

"Yikes! That's gotta hurt." A random person yells from the ski lift.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ow! You bitc-"

"Shut the hell up." Elijah hisses, pressing the ice to James' side and he winces in pain.

Currently we're inside one of the lodges because James is in a lot of pain. I would be too if Rome knocked into me. Although it is James' fault.

It took a long time to get him down the hill. Rome looked like he was in a bit of pain too but tried not to show it.

I'm not sure why James thought it was a good idea to jump in his path.

"Why would you do that, James?" I ask him, sitting in one of the chairs and glancing at him worriedly.

"I didn't think It'd hurt that bad- merda!" He yells out again when Elijah gently probes his side, checking for broken ribs.

(Shit.)

I've come to learn that some of the words they say in Italian are actually cuss words. Like merda for example. I don't know what bad word it is though.

"Nothing feels broken but It'll definitely be bruised. Keep it on there." Elijah gives the ice to James to hold while he stands.

Rome stands beside me, his face void of any emotion as he stares down at James.

"Are you hurt at all?" I question him again.

"No."

He's lying.

"Are you sure?" I probe and he shifts his position, wincing slightly.

I give him a look that says 'I don't believe you' but he doesn't meet my eyes. Colliding with another person while skiing is bound to hurt.

"Do you guys need help with anything? Need more ice?" One of the workers walks over and asks, studying James as he presses the ice to his side.

No one responds so I do.

"I think we're okay, thank you." I smile and she nods, walking back to the front.

At least Elijah and I successfully got down the mountain without any injuries.

"Well I think that's enough for today then." I clap my hands together and the guys nod in agreement.

A few workers come to take the equipment from us when we tell them we're ready to leave.

We put our jackets back on since it was warm inside the lodge. Elijah stays near James as we walk towards the exit just incase and the small action makes me inwardly smile.

"That was fun." I grin and Rome grunts, starting the car.

"Where to now?"

"Out to eat." I then notice the clock and that It's almost 7 PM. I am getting hungry.

"Did you have to get reservations or anything?"

"I know the owner."

Of course he does.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dinner was amazing, the place apparently had amazing reviews and I could see why. I had never eaten food this fancy before but let me just say it was so good.

I ended up getting the Ravioli and Rome got the Tortellini. I stole a few bites of his food as well and I was not disappointed in how it tasted.

Once we got back to the hotel I dragged Rome to James and Elijah's room. Well not dragged since I could never drag him but he followed me.

Elijah opened the door when I knocked and let us inside. They had two beds in their room which made sense because I could never imagine the two sharing a bed. The thought was hilarious.

James was sitting on his bed, with no ice on his bruised side.

"Where's the ice you're supposed to be using?" I scold, crossing my arms to try and look intimidating. James' eyes widened and I smugly look at him but then realize he's staring at Rome and not me.

Examining Rome's expression I can see he's not happy that James isn't taking care of himself either. I guess he can take charge instead.

"He refused to get an icepack." Elijah says, his jaw ticking.

"I'm fine!" He raises his hands in the air. "It doesn't even hurt that bad."

"That's not what it seemed like at the lodge." Rome points out.

"I swear I'm fine, It's not as bad as earlier."

"It hasn't been that long since It's happened though, there's no way it feels better already." I say and James glares at me playfully. I glare right back and he cracks a smile making my lips turn up.

"You're on bedrest tomorrow." Romes says and James' jaw drops.

"Like hell! I'm not staying in bed when we're in Italy."

"Either that or you're not going to the club when we go." Rome smirks slightly, knowing he's won the argument based on James' sullen expression.

"It's just for tomorrow, if you feel fine then you can move around again." Elijah chimes in and James lays back in the bed in defeat.

"Fine, you guys suck."

"Did you guys eat dinner yet?" I ask the two of them. Elijah moves his eyes over to me.

"I'll see if they have anything in the lobby. What do you want?" He grabs the room key and directs his gaze at James.

"Anything that's edible."

Elijah rolls his eyes and swiftly leaves the room.

"Since I'm on bed rest," James trails off, "You guys can be my servants!"

"Vaffanculo, that's not happening. Let's go, baby." Rome grabs my hand and tugs, making me walk with him.

(Fuck off.)

"Take care of that bruise, James!" I yell before Rome pulls me out of the room.

Instead of going up to our room in the elevator Rome presses the down button.

"Are we going somewhere?" I ask.

"Yes, you'll see what it is when we get there." He answers before I can ask where we're going.

As we reach the lobby I catch sight of Elijah carrying a few boxes of food. I guess they serve dinner here as well even though we only got told they have breakfast.

"So are you gonna tell me where we're going yet?" Lightly smiling at Rome as we get in the car he shakes his head, his eyes warm when he gazes at me.

"No, but you'll like it."

It takes Rome a little bit of time to find a parking spot but soon we're walking. There's a lot of people out right now despite it being cold. Luckily It stopped snowing a bit earlier.

"What part of Italy are we in?" I suddenly question.

"Venice." He answers simply.

When I look again my eyes widen a large amount. There's a huge bridge up ahead with people standing on it.

"It's called the Rialto Bridge." Rome says, holding my hand as we reach the bridge.

"Woah," my mouth parts as we begin to walk up it.

"Some people like to go in boats when there's water but obviously they can't right now." He gestures to the now frozen water.

The bridge is lit up in pretty lights, but they are constantly changing designs and colors.

I smile at the other families and couples looking over the bridge, holding onto each other and talking amongst themselves.

There's lights hanging from the bridge so I take some time to admire them. I then look over the bridge and Rome moves to stand behind me, placing his strong arms on either side of me, caging me in.

Tilting my head back I rest my head against his chest, smiling up at him. He leans down and places a gentle kiss against my forehead.

"Tomorrow we'll explore more, I'll take you to different areas and you can get any souvenirs you want." Rome says, resting his forehead against mine when I turn in his arms.

"That sounds amazing." I breathe out, now resting my head against his chest as I continue to look around the bridge. His arms wound around me tightly and we bask in the peaceful yet stunning environment.
