Arya's POV -

The truth only had my body trembling more.

Oh my god, are my parents here?

Are they locked up just like I am?

Or are they-

No. They're alive, I know it.

I need to find out where they are, but I doubt neither Oliver or Ivan would tell me.

Perhaps they would, they've already exposed the truth about many things.

Despite being extremely uncomfy, my body was slowly shutting down, and I was beginning to give in to sleep.

But I knew my dreams would be full of nightmares.

Of current nightmares.

And of nightmares to come.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know how long I was asleep.

I have no idea if I was actually asleep to be completely honest.

I only knew my body couldn't handle it anymore.

My eyelids peeled open, and I was welcomed with the same cell as before.

If only this was all a dream, that I was still with Rome right now.

Rome...

I had no idea to what to think about all of this. Would I even get out alive?

I looked down near my feet and my eyes widened a bit once I realized the plate was no longer there.

Someone came in and took it while I was sleeping. I was completely vulnerable at that moment. They could have done anything to me.

My throat felt extremely dry, and I let out a few small coughs before sitting up.

Everything was hurting,

I should have eaten that sandwich.

I wrapped my arms around my waist, thinking it'll automatically soothe the pain, but unfortunately it only seemed to make it worse.

My gaze was focused on the ground, so I didn't hear anyone walk in until they spoke.

"You look like you need some water."

Ivan.

I craned my neck up and looked weakly at the cup in his hands.

I didn't make any move to reach for it. What if it was poison or something? What if It's a drug?

He must of read the expression on my face because he smirked and placed the cup on the ground.

"It's nothing bad, just water. I need you somewhat healthy after all before I kill you."

He said the words so casually, like it was a joke or something.

Ivan pushed the cup a bit closer to my reach, so I did the only thing anyone else would do who felt like they were on the verge of death by dehydration.

Grabbing the cup, I looked down into it and was met with a clear liquid.

It was water.

Quickly bringing it up to my lips, I chugged it down in seconds and took a few deep breaths.

I barely paid attention to Ivan who was still watching me.

Placing the cup back on the floor, I shuffled back against the wall trying to create any type of distance between us.

Ivan hummed and reached for the cup before standing straight.

Clearing my throat a few times, I bit my lip before taking a chance with a question.

"D-Do..."

I paused.

Ivan's eyes stayed on mine, prompting me to continue.

"Do you have...have my parents?"

His eyes held amusement before he chuckled deeply. I cringed.

"Smart girl, It's about time you put the pieces together on your own."

I didn't want to believe that my parents were caught up in the mafia as well, but now the truth of that was out also.

"B-Both of them?" I asked, watching him carefully.

There was a bit of uncomfortable silence as I waited with pain in my chest.

"It was only supposed to be your father, since, well your own mother hit you."

Eyes bulging, I stared at him in horror. "How do you know about that?!"

"I told you my son is overly obsessed with you. He's been watching you everywhere since you met apparently. I didn't ask much about it since it was only helping me in the end."

"He-he saw?"

"Yes, right outside your window actually."

I choked on my spit at that. He had been watching me ever since we met at the café?

How have I never noticed?

"Where are they?! Are they here?" I asked desperately, attempting to stand but my legs felt so weak.

Ivan waved his hand around dismissively, "No point in getting up, you're not seeing them."

My throat constricted. "N-No please I need to see them. Are they okay? At least tell me that."

I didn't want to beg for anything from him, but it was my parents.

Shoving his hands in his pockets, his eyes darkened even more if that was possible.

"They haven't been harmed, it was really only a warning towards Rome."

"My parents were a warning?"

"Oh yes," He nodded, "I sent a picture of your father tied up to him. Trust me my dear I wouldn't have done anything to you or them if you didn't have any sort of connection to Rome. I want him dead, so I'll take any measures needed to get the job done."

"Please," It was a weak plea, a mere whisper. "Please let them go, they-they haven't done anything. It was me you needed, right?"

"I suppose." He replied after a few moments.

"So please let them go, I'll do anything."

He laughed evilly, "I don't need you to do anything for me, you're already here. The plan is simple, I already told you once."

That's right. Wait for Rome to show up and then kill us both.

"Please," I gave one last plea. I didn't have to see my parents. I just wanted them safe.

"I don't really need them anymore." He said, an evil glint taking over his eyes. "I guess I'll just kill them."

"No!" I screamed, getting up on shaky legs. "Please don't! Leave them alone!" I cried.

He turned and headed for the door as I stared and stared.

"You're in no place to make any demands, you'll be joining them soon after all."

He slammed the door closed and I sank to my knees, looking at the door helplessly.

I was left in the dark, cold cell once more.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rome's POV -

It's been too long since she's been gone.

The sun was now up and shining bright, but I didn't feel that way.

I only felt that way when she was around. My baby.

Not much else could be currently done until Elijah traces that phone number.

James is still making calls on any possible whereabouts, and my men are still searching the area for any clues.

But my hope is all on that number.

I hadn't slept a goddamn wink and I'm not going to until we find out where those fucking Russians are keeping her.

Every second that ticks by just increases my anger. I'm going to kill every one of those fuckers.

My main focus is on Ivan and that stupid kid Oliver. I would end up having both of their blood on my hands.

Ivan has been on his throne for too long, and it needs to come to an end.

First he takes and kills my parents, and now he's taken my love. I won't let the second part happen.

I'd die for her. I'd get shot a million times if it meant I could save her.

I tapped my fingers on the kitchen counter as I stared out the window like an idiot.

All these thoughts were consuming my mind and it was driving me insane.

Feeling a presence approaching, my head tilted slightly to see James walking towards me.

"Cosa vuoi?" I asked impatiently.

(What do you want?)

He didn't say anything for a few moments, he simply stood next to me and looked out the window as well.

"You know we'll find her right?"

My jaw clenched but I didn't answer. I didn't have anything to say.

He must've understood I was in no mood to talk so for once, he simply shut his mouth and we welcomed the silence.

I'm not sure how long we stood there, waiting on Elijah to come out with news.

I ended up driving around once more to find anything that could help us, but there was nothing.

It was the Russians after all, the chance of them leaving something behind was unlikely.

As I returned back to the house the sun was setting. Almost a whole day had gone by that she was missing.

I fucking hated it. I wanted her in my arms.

Walking through the doors, I heard low chatting in Elijah's office.

Following the voices, I entered the room to see both Elijah and James standing there. But at my presence they stopped.

"Well don't fucking stop on my account." I gritted out.

Elijah cleared his throat, "Something odd has happened."

"Odd?" I repeated before shifting closer to the two.

"Yes, look at this."

James and I both took a step closer to the screen, looking at the cameras pointing towards Arya's house.

"James had sent some men to Arya's house earlier to keep searching. They assumed no one would be inside but the door was locked when they attempted to get in."

Locked? Who else would be in there then?

Elijah continued, "After they knocked on the door, guess who answered."

"Her parents. Both of them safely tucked inside." He concluded.

I stood, shocked at what just came out of his mouth. Barely processing the information.

James' mouth was slightly agape as he stared at the cameras in disbelief. Elijah had a close up picture of the two of them answering the door. They looked completely unharmed.

"It also turns out that her house looks like It's brand new. All the furniture is replaced and the house is clean. It's as if they never showed up."

"But why would the Russians even take them if they had no plans in harming them?" James asked.

I calculated in my head for several seconds before my eyes hardened, "The whole idea was to get to Arya."

They both turned to me.

"They wanted Arya to go to her house only to see that her place was trashed and her parents were missing. They wanted Arya to freak out and question me about it. They wanted us to argue. They wanted Arya to be alone so they could snatch her."

It was their plan all along. It was all about Arya, never her parents.

No. It's all about me. The only reason they took Arya is to get to me.

Everything is my fucking fault.

"It makes sense," Elijah says, "They know Arya is close to you if Oliver had been stalking her for months." He stresses.

"Holy shit," James breathes out before gripping his forehead.

"Did the men question her parents about anything?"

Elijah shook his head, "No, they just said they were at the wrong house and left."

We stayed in silence for a few minutes, trying to reel in everything.

"I was able to track down the phone that the number is connected to."

My head snapped towards him. "And? Anything?" I asked impatiently.

He clicked around on his fucking computer for a few seconds making me even more annoyed.

"Non mettermi alla prova adesso, Elijah."

(Do not test me right now, Elijah.)

Narrowing his eyes slightly, he turned back to me.

With a smirk on his face, he stood up.

"We better start planning a rescue mission. We've got a location."
