Arya's POV -

"Holy shit! Do my eyes deceive me?" Izzy asks as I walk into English.

"Nope." I laugh, taking out my notebooks and preparing to make up for the 2 days I missed.

"What did I miss?" I ask and she shrugs, "Really nothing, we got assigned some writing assignment, but It's not that hard or long like the essay."

I sigh in relief at her words.

"Where have you been? You never miss school, especially 2 days in a row." Izzy says, and I bite my lip as I try to decide if I should tell her the truth.

"Izzy," I blow out a breath. "We have a lot to talk about." I mumble and she stares at me in confusion.

So that's how I spent my entire English period. I told Izzy everything. About Trevor and the party. About mama hitting me once and then pushing me the 2nd time.

I then told her that I was staying at Rome's for now until I could figure out how to make amends with them.

As I looked at her for a reaction, I just watched her face pale and then pale some more.

She looked at loss for words as she opened her mouth only to close it a moment later, then repeated the action.

"I know...I know It's a lot to take in, but I just needed to get it out. I needed to tell someone." I murmur, scribbling with my pencil on a blank piece of paper.

There's more silence from her.

"I-I don't know what to say. That awful Arya, I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you." I look at her to see her eyes watering.

"No, don't cry!" I say shaking my head, "It's not your fault at all! You didn't know."

"I can't believe that! I'm feeling so many different emotions right now. Anger towards Trevor for even thinking about touching you! And your mama, why would she do that?!" Her voice rises slightly.

Now that I think about Trevor, I never asked Rome if he knew what happened to him.

I've been so caught up with everything else it just slipped my mind.

"I know, I don't know..." I trail off, continuing to doodle on my paper.

"I'm glad Trevor is gone then!"

I stare at her with wide eyes, "B-But he was your boyfriend."

"Don't even say that, I'd never continue to date him after what he tried to do with you. That's just sick."

I slump in my seat but then I stand up a second later after realizing I need to ask my professor for the writing assignment.

"I'll be right back," I say to Izzy before headings towards his desk.

"Arya! How are you, were you sick?" My professor asks and I smile and nod, "Something like that I guess, Izzy had said I missed a writing assignment?"

"Oh yes, let me get it out for you." He responds, opening a drawer attached to the desk and rummaging through it.

I wait patiently and look back towards Izzy, only to see a small scowl on her face.

She looks deep in thought, probably about what I told her.

"Alright, the prompt is on the paper but I'll tell you it anyways. Since your essay was about something special in your life, this small writing assignment will be about how this thing or person gets you through tough times. It only has to be a few paragraphs."

Oh.

"Okay...thank you." I say cautiously, taking the paper from him and heading back to my seat.

Rome has definitely gotten me through some tough times, that's for sure.

The bell rings a while later, and I grab my bag and am about to say bye to Izzy, but she turns to me with a sad look.

"I really am sorry Arya, I had no idea." She says, recalling the events that came from Trevor and that just makes me feel sad.

It wasn't her fault at all.

None of it was.

I quickly wrap my arms around her and tug her into a tight hug, and she doesn't waste anytime in hugging me back.

"Do you think Trevor will come back to school?" She asks with her head on my shoulder.

"I don't know...if he hasn't shown in weeks maybe not?" I reply quietly, pulling away from her.

She shakes her head, "I don't even want to think about him anymore, come on." She grabs my hand and pulls me out of the room.

Luckily my government assignments had already been finished so I was able to turn those in.

Math assigned a few new assignments but they didn't seem that hard, I'd get them finished either tonight or tomorrow.

By the time lunch came around I was exhausted and wanted to leave already.

I wanted to go back to Rome.

However, I was super curious to know what Rome had packed me. I actually found myself getting excited.

I made my way to our lunch table. I was the first one there which was slightly shocking since usually Izzy was.

Sitting down, I stretched my legs and unzipped my bag, grabbing the one inside that held my lunch.

I placed the brown bag on the table and put my backpack next to my feet.

Opening it up, I peered inside and was surprised to see a bunch of different foods.

Pulling out the first thing I see, I smiled when I saw it was a hummus and veggie sandwich.

There were so many different toppings on it. Tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, peppers, and more.

Licking my lips, I looked back inside and pulled out chips, some apple slices, and a water bottle.

He really took the time to go and make me lunch.

He was such an amazing man.

Smiling brightly, I raised the first half of the sandwich to my mouth and bit into it.

My mouth literally exploded at the amazing taste. So many different flavors.

This had to be my favorite food so far, it was right at the top with James' crepes.

Izzy eventually showed up 5 minutes later, claiming she got into an argument with her teacher.

That didn't surprise me at all.

Luckily nothing was mentioned about earlier, and I was thankful for that.

I didn't want to think about it anymore, at least for a little while.

I went about the rest of my day like normal. My only class left was film which didn't have anything for me to catch up on.

That class had to be one of my favorites, my professor barely assigned anything.

Once the final bell rang, I quickly shot out of my seat, grabbing my bag and not wasting anymore time to leave.

As I made my way out of the school, a smile started to form on my face when I saw the familiar Ferrari parked on the sidewalk and the man standing next to it.

Rome gave me his famous smirk as I walked up to him.

"Hey baby."

I almost melted.

"Hi..." I mumbled shyly.

"Ready to go?"

I nodded and slipped into the passenger seat as Rome made his way to his side.

"How was school today?" He questioned, pulling away from the school and onto the road back to his house.

"It was good, I didn't miss too much even though I missed 2 days."

He hummed, "And what about your friend Izzy? What did you tell her?"

"I told her everything."

"You did?" He asked, slight surprise in his tone.

"Yeah, I mean she deserved to know. Especially about the Trevor incident. She was dating him after all."

"I assume she's not anymore?"

"Nope, she doesn't want anything to do with him."

"Good." He said curtly.

My ears suddenly perked up, "Speaking of Trevor, he had been missing at school for a while now. Do you know what happened to him? You were the last one who saw him at the..." I trailed off, but I knew already understood what I was saying.

I watched as his grip on the steering wheel got tighter, "No...I had only seen him there when I shoved him off of you."

His voice sounded slightly strained, but I didn't point it out.

"Okay, I was just wondering." I chirped, looking out the window towards the trees.

"Ho fatto molto di più che spingerlo."

(I did a lot more then shoving him.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We soon reached the house, and I was craving a shower.

"I'll be back, I need to shower." I say, turning to Rome as he looked down at me.

He nodded, "What do you want for dinner?"

"Um..." I said, not really feeling like eating since lunch filled me up, "I'm not sure, oh! That sandwich you made me was soo good! Thank you for packing me it."

He chuckled and cupped my cheek, "It was nothing. Go shower and I'll find something to make for tonight, sì?"

I nodded and turned to head for my room.

20 minutes later, I stood in the bathroom and plugged in my hairdryer.

I tried to dry my hair as much as possible or it will get even more poofy.

It takes another 20 minutes to get done, and I finish brushing it out.

It doesn't look too bad so I decide to leave it down as I brush my hands through it to untangle any locks that got stuck.

"Arya? Are you out of the shower?" I hear Rome call out and I chuckle, that would be shocking if I was still in the shower.

A 40 minute one is a longgg shower.

"Yes I'm done! I'll be back in my room in a second." I reply, putting my brush away.

Looking myself over once more in the mirror, I head back to my room.

I spot Rome sitting on my bed casually, and his eyes raise to meet mine when he hears me.

They suddenly darken, and I notice how he slowly moves his eyes up and down my body, lingering on my legs.

I nervously look down at my bare legs, it wasn't too cold in the house tonight so I wore shorts.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever been in shorts in front of him.

My face begins to heat up at the thought, and I wait for him to say something.

However he only beckons me over with two fingers, and I find myself obeying like a puppy.

As my feet shuffle towards him, he grips onto my arm and has me sit on his lap, straddling him.

Goosebumps raise on my arms as they automatically go around his neck as his green eyes continue to look over me.

After a minute of silence he finally speaks up,

"You're so fucking pretty."

My eyes go wide at his language, but then my eyes turn warm at the term 'pretty'.

I had never been called that by a guy before.

He then groans, "I should have called you that a long time ago, darling."

"I..." I was at loss for words as his soft eyes looked into mine.

Slowly his hands rose, cupping my cheeks and I could feel his silver rings brushing against my face.

He leaned in, and my eyes zeroed in on his perfect lips.

They met my forehead, lingering for a moment before pulling back.

He continued to examine me while I was a blushing mess.

My arms tightened around his neck as he leaned in for a second time, but his eyes were now on my lips.

Those gorgeous emeralds flitted up to mine once more, silently asking for permission.

And when I didn't try to pull away or protest, his lips met mine sending me into oblivion.
