Henry's life is in a constant state of unbalance. Why, you ask? I will tell you.

Henry was born on the dreary day of January 25th in the year 1988 at 2:43 in the morning after an intense thirteen hours of labor.

Henry arrived at the orphanage where he would grow up at age eight.

Henry was praised as being a good child and took great pride in it.

Henry wanted to make a good future for himself.

Henry wanted to make enough money to buy a house and adopt two children and have three cats.

Henry had hopes. Henry had dreams.

Henry wanted a life of lavishness, if possible. A life of happiness.

Henry found out in high school he sucks at studying.

Henry found out in college he sucks even more at studying.

Henry decided he needed a different way to succeed in life.

Henry would start from the bottom and work his way up.

Henry applied for a position at Calloway hotel. Bright-eyed and eager, he had no idea what he had signed up for.

A life of enslavement. A life of stress.

Mrs. Calloway scared the living crap out of Henry. Her sharp eyes, the click of her heels, the way she could ruin lives with just one word. She bossed Henry around like no other. If Henry didn't properly clean his shoes before work, Mrs. Calloway would threaten to fire him. If Henry didn't organize the papers on her desk, she would threaten to dock his pay.

Henry disliked Mrs. Calloway.

Lee Calloway was a genuine angel. Henry liked him the most. Lee treated him, as with everyone else, with respect. Henry respected Lee.

Bennett Calloway seemed much like his mother, but he didn't have to interact with Bennett much. That is, until Lee's accident and Bennett suddenly was in place to become the next CEO and he decided he wanted Henry to be his secretary and assistant.

Tempted by the extra cash, our poor young Henry agreed.

And here starts a normal-ish schedule for Henry.

5:00AM: Henry wakes up, calls Bennett, and tries to wake up Bennett.

5:10AM: Henry keeps trying to wake up Bennett.

5:15AM: Bennett threatens to fire Henry.

5:16AM: Henry worries about how he's going to pay his bills without a job. Henry thinks about selling his clothing for extra cash.

5:17AM: Bennett wakes up and tells Henry to have coffee ready for him when he gets in.

6:30AM: Bennett is half an hour late. Henry waits for Bennett at the front doors, Starbucks in hand, the coffee almost cold. Henry thinks he should buy a coffee maker for Bennett's personal use, but Bennett is a princess who only likes Starbucks. Henry will never say that to Bennett's face.

6:50AM: Bennett finally arrives. Henry sees they are matching. Bennett gestures for the coffee.

6:51AM: Bennett complains the coffee is cold.

6:51AM: Henry wants to say it's because he's been standing there for almost an hour, but he simply apologizes instead.

6:52AM: Bennett says he will go buy fresh coffee for both of them.

6:52AM: Henry wonders if Bennett is a mean person or actually a good person.

7:00AM: Mrs. Calloway wants to see Henry. Henry doesn't want to go.

7:05AM: Henry arrives in Mrs. Calloway's office. She demands Henry to inform her on how Bennett is doing with his work. Henry knows she'll get mad to hear Bennett is slacking, so he neglects to mention the paperwork piling up.

7:05AM: Henry sees a picture of Lee on her desk. Henry misses Lee.

7:05AM: Mrs. Calloway wants to know where Bennett went last night.

7:0AM: Henry doesn't like to discuss Bennett's personal life with Mrs. Calloway. She doesn't need to know he went out for a drink with his friend Sebastian. He respectfully declines to answer her question.

7:0AM: Mrs. Calloway threatens to cut his pay if he doesn't tell her.

7:06AM: Henry tells her. Henry doesn't understand why they threaten to fire him so much.

8:00AM: Henry is a good secretary. So, of course, he tells Bennett that Mrs. Calloway is sticking her nose into his business again.

8:00AM: Bennett tells Henry not to worry because Mrs. Calloway cannot fire Henry because he works for Bennett, not her.

9-11:00AM: Henry sits at his desk, going over contracts for Bennett and paperwork Bennett has filled out, sorting it into the filing cabinet.

12:00PM: Henry knocks on Bennett's door and enters. Bennett shoots up in his seat, a paper stuck on his cheek. Henry can see the marks of the desk on his face and knows Bennett fell asleep. Bennett shoos Henry from the room.

12:01PM: Henry wonders about Bennett's work ethic.

12:30PM: Bennett says he's going out to lunch.

12:45PM: Henry is eating the meal he prepared for himself. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a bottle of water.

2:00PM: Bennett still hasn't returned from lunch.

2:01PM: Henry calls Bennett and is ignored.

2:05PM: Mrs. Calloway wants to see Bennett.

2:06PM: Henry sweats.

2:10PM: Henry goes to Mrs. Calloway's office and explains that Bennett suddenly felt violently ill and had to leave the office to rest.

2:11PM: Mrs. Calloway is skeptical, but makes Henry take over the workload she was going to give Bennett. She tells Henry to fetch her a bottle of Fiji water from the store across the street.

2:12PM: Henry thinks he doesn't get paid enough for this.

2:45PM: Bennett finally shows back up at the office, a giant plastic bag in hand. It reads Cheesecake Factory.

2:46PM: Bennett hands Henry a full cherry cheesecake and a plastic container with a hamburger and fries inside. Bennett tells Henry he needs to eat more than a peanut butter sandwich every day.

2:47PM: Henry is touched.

2:48PM: Henry realizes Bennett drove over an hour to the Cheesecake Factory to get lunch. During the workday. When he could've gone to any of the restaurants down the street and bought the same things.

2:49PM: Bennett heads back into his office with a smirk on his face.

2:49PM: Henry looks down at the cheesecake and wonders how Bennett will ever become the CEO of this place.

3:00PM: Bennett leaves his office again, his coat on his shoulders, and his keys in his hand and announces he's worked enough for the day and he is leaving.

3:00PM: Henry looks at the papers on his own desk and feels like he should quit his job.

4:00PM: Henry finally leaves the hotel and heads home to his own, lonely apartment. Henry doesn't have a girlfriend. Being Bennett's assistant and secretary takes up enough of his time already.

5:00PM: Henry thinks about the amount of paperwork that still needs to be done.

5:30PM: Henry goes on his computer and checks his blog to find that his story got over a thousand views overnight and hundreds of comments asking to know more about the main couple's story.

5:31PM: Henry smiles.

9:00PM: Henry calls Bennett to remind him of the list of things to do the next day.

9:01PM: Henry listens to Bennett try to get out of doing it and argues with him that he needs to work.

9:10PM: Bennett finally begrudgingly agrees to go in.

9:11PM: Henry gets into bed with his laptop and starts to write the next installment of his romance series titled The CEO and the Secretary. He has hopes that it will one day become a bestseller and he can quit his job.
