《One Queen to Three Kings》New Developments, and Murder

I dashed through the halls of the castle, trying my best to avoid the maids that were rushing around, cleaning or bringing the lords their food.

I had been in the middle of going over new plans with my team when I was called for an impromptu appointment with the King, at precisely 5 o'clock. Unfortunately I didn't get the message until 4:56, which gave me no time to prepare or get there on time.

The King's going to have my head for this quiet literally

I weave out of their way, trying my best to get to the throne room as quickly as possible, my King will not be pleased if I arrive late not that I really have a choice at this point, I'm late wether I want to be or not.

With one final rush I burst through the throne room doors, quickly righting myself as to not embarrass myself in front of my lord.

I bow deeply, hopeful to minimize what ever punishment I'll get for being late.

"Sparrow! Where have you been?! I asked for the report on the flea bags ages ago!", the Vampire King thundered, clearly displeased at my tardiness.

Ah yes the werewolves, personally not I want to spend my time working on but when you work for the King most of your time is spent on them. Most of the common folk are upset or even care about the arrangement with the dogs, however all royalty and nobility is pissed. And they are wasting nothing on figuring out how to get our power back.

Instantly I drop to my knees, with my fist placed firmly over my heart, showing my utmost loyalty And respect.

"I'm sorry your Highness, I humbly beg for your forgiveness and mercy", I begged.

My heart speeding up with every second of silence, while little beads of sweat appear on my forehead. See? There's a reason I didn't want to be late, our King is not a patient man, or really even a nice one.

"Granted", he mumbled after a moment.

"Now tell me what information you have gathered on the mutts?!" He boomed clearly getting more agitated and impatient for the answers.

With all the courage I posses I slowly stand up, a devious smile on my face, which in turns makes the King smirk.

"Well it would seem that after all those years of looking for their precious mate, they've managed to actually find her," I start saying. "So they now have a weakness to exploit." The King interrupts, I can already see the gears in his head turning, trying to figure out how to use this bit of information for his benefit.

"But that's not the best part," I say recapturing the Kings attention.

"What is the best part?" He asks obviously pissed I Interrupted his thoughts.

"The best part is that she's human and absolutely terrified of them." I say, pride dripping into my tone. Knowing that this piece of information will probably get me a promotion. It took me a while to watch their interactions to figure out their relationship, but it was clear as day she's afraid of werewolves not just them, I wonder if she's just afraid of vampires?

A booming laugh echos throughout the throne room, seemingly bouncing off of the walls, it would appear that this particular piece of information has pleased the King.

"Well, well, well, looks like we have a nice little bit of leverage up our sleeves now, and I think those mutts would do anything to save their precious little human mate, even say, give up their crown?", the King asks once his laughter subsides.

Clearly the prospect of finally defeating the wolves making him almost giddy. And it's odd, I've never seen the King so pleased even when he found his Queen, just goes to show you what his priorities are.

"Yes, your Highness, surely they would do anything for her." I agreed, because I've seen how they treat her.

"We mustn't be to hasty my dear," a new voice says.

The clicking of heels echos throughout the throne room, I whip around and come face to face with the Vampire Queen, bowing quickly to her, not wanting to risk offending her and facing her wrath.

She acknowledges me before turning to her beloved,"As I was saying we mustn't be to quick to act on this, if what Sparrow said was true, that she currently fears them she may not be so eager to go back to them, but if we wait for her to grow fond of those dogs and get marked by them then I think we'll have better results when we do take her", The Queen says in her usual bored tone.

The King appears to be contemplating her idea, he nods his head, before ultimately agreeing with her.

She gives a slight bow to the King before leaving me and the King alone, a shudder runs down my spine. I never like being near people of higher status than myself.

Not long after he sets his sights back on me, no doubt wanting me and my twin to go spy on them some more.

"Sparrow! Gather your brother! I want you to keep a close eye on this potential new Luna Queen, and I want daily reports, leave nothing out. With what we know now she could be our ticket to taking down the wolves for once and for all", the King says a horrific smile plaguing his face.

Oh look I was right, yay, I get to go back into those flea bags territory.

A shudder racks my body before a bow to the King before trying to get the hell out of the throne room as fast as I possibly could.

Before I'm able to leave, the doors to throne room are busted open six guards enter, two of them dragging what appears to be a spy from the wolves side.

Hmph how disgraceful, getting caught by the enemy, I would never let myself be caught. Not that those dogs could ever caught one of us.

The guards drag the spy, directly in front of the King who still has that horrific look on his face, the smell of fear coats the room.

"Hello werewolf scum!", the King mockingly says, the guards all snicker and laugh.

"Go to hell you blood sucking leach!" The spy yells, obviously having more guts than we first thought.

"You know most people would never kill a weak messenger like you, but I firmly believe in killing the messenger. Wanna know why?" The King says his voice getting darker with every word.

He stands up off his throne walks down towards the messenger, grabs his face and whispers," because it sends a message" before he releases his fangs and drains the messenger effectively killing the poor bastard.

With out a second thought I scurry out of the throne room like a bat out of hell, to go search for my twin for our new mission.
