《The Melancholy Of Yamamoto Yuuto》Chapter 72-Sebastian

She bent down and opened the mini fridge which was under the table. Inside it were a couple of wine bottles and cubes of ice. She took a bottle out and closed the fridge. She then pressed a button under the table and a concealed department on the other side of the table opened, revealing a couple of wine glasses. She took two of them out and placed them on the table. While she was struggling to open the bottle I told
“Should you really be drinking wine at this age and that to right before going to school?”
She looked annoyed
“As if I'd drink wine when I can't even handle carbonated drinks! This is just apple cider. I was going to give you some but because of that comment I'm not giving you any!”
“S-Sure”
She continued trying to open the bottle. The bottle seemed to be closed real tight since she was really struggling to open it
I reached out my hand and said
“Want me to give you a hand?”
She pulled the bottle back and said
“Hmph! I can do this by myself!”
She's quite a stubborn girl
Her palms were becoming red because of her continuous attempts
It was to pitiful to watch, so I yanked the bottle out her hand and quickly twisted the cap open before she could utter a word
She was surprised I opened the bottle that quickly. She then crossed her hands and leaned back on the seat and told
“Y-You only opened the bottle because I loosened it up for you. Don't think you've won this match”
Since when were we playing a game?
“Now pour some for both of us, I'm really thirsty”
What happened to not giving me any?
Once I poured the juice into the glasses, Rena quickly took her glass and had sip. She gave a face of delight and said

“Delicious! As expected of 32 year old beverage”
!
“32 years old?”
“Yeah, I got it imported from Italy! They only sell it in limited stock, so I'm really lucky to get some”
I looked at the bottle and wondered how expensive it was
“Stop staring and drink it already, it's really good”
She looked like someone trying to recommended their favorite movie or game to their friend, so that he to can get into it
I took the glass and drank the whole thing in one gulp
“So how was it?”
She looked pretty excited to know my answer. But sorry for her I couldn't really taste it properly as I was only thinking that, I was drinking a lot of money
“Ahhh-…It was really good”
She smiled and said
“I knew you would like it”
Oh come on! Don't show a innocent smile like that. Now I feel bad about lying to you
Once she finished her share I asked her
“So, how did you find me?”
She put the glass on the table and leaned back on the seat and said
“Complete coincidence. I was on my way to school and I saw a familiar looking back walking aimlessly. I guessed it was you and stopped to say hi but you greeted me with that evil grin. I know you normally look scary but this time you were looking at me as if you were out for blood. Even Sebastian got scared when he saw you”
Well I was out for blood so my face is justified but-…..Hmm? Sebastian?
“Who’s Sebastian?”

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

CODEX
The call of adventure was prevalent in Eric's mind since he was a fledgling of a boy. He loved exploring new places so much, that he happened upon a magical tome in a cave he found when he wandered around his neighbourhood. And from this tome, manifested the ghost of a dead sorceress who made a home in his mind. And so began his journey in becoming a legendary mage; and also a royal pain in the ass. NB: Just a side project made purely for fun! HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL. NO PLOT! Well, maybe a little plot. Okay, it has more plot than I first intended for it to have. And uh, there's not much, but expect profanity.Check out my edgelord book:https://books2read.com/u/mgg7dD
