《The Melancholy Of Yamamoto Yuuto》Chapter 58-Missed Calls

I went downstairs to see how Kaede was doing. I hope she's not upset with what happened last night

When I reached the ground floor I couldn't hear any sounds coming. That was weird since, Kaede would always be watching something on TV in the morning. When I went into the hall, I found the TV turned off and Kaede absent

Was she still sleeping? But she always wakes up early

I went over to the Kitchen counter and found a note written by Kaede. On it was written

‘Sorry about last night but I'm okay now. I just need some time to cool my head so I'll be leaving early

PS: I ate your pudding in the fridge : ) ’

Phew…I'm glad that she's fine

I thought she would still be down in the dumps and I was even ready to take a day off to take care of her but she seems to be doing fine. Well she is a strong girl after all, she takes after her mother

But she stole my share of the food again!

At this rate I'm going to need a safe to put all my food in or I'll end up starving

*sigh*

Well whatever, as long as she's happy

“I still have some time left so I guess I'll clean up-Hmm?………..37 CALLS!”

I took my phone out to check the time and saw 37 missed calls. I didn't pick any of them since I left my phone in the living room

Who in the world is called me 37 times in the night?

I unlocked my phone and saw that all the calls came from one person…

“Haru Nee-san?” (Nee-san: Older sister or older women in Japanese. In this case it's Yuuto's Aunt)

Why is she calling me this many times in the night? Did anything happen?

Well I'll just call her and ask.…….But what if she is on a ‘job’ right now. I don't want to disturb her when she's working but she'll be angrier if I don't respond to her calls. She's a worry wart after all

I dialed her number and my phone screen showed

‘Connecting to European Satellite, Vatican City’

The Vatican? So she's on a ‘job’ after all

Vatican City huh, that brings back memories…

I had a nice time when I went there last year. The cannoli’s, tiramisu and gelato I had there were wonderful

I would have spent some more time there to explore the place and try more of their local foods but the Vatican government was hot on my tail after I had assassinated the Pope. I had to leave quickly or else I would have been in a European prison by now
