(General P.O.V)

Nami didn't understand why Luffy and Zoro had allowed themselves to be beaten and humiliated like that. They were strong damnit! Her captain had fought powerful people…no monsters before and come out on top. Not to mention that Zoro was one of the strongest people in the crew. So how and why?

She was dragging them as they left the tavern, both were bleeding from the cuts and bruises on their faces.

"Gahahahaha sky island does exit."

She heard a voice from behind her and saw the large man, Luffy had been arguing with before. She was a little discusted from the way he was eating his cherry pies.

"You're that man from before."

She found herself replying.

"Hahahaha, those two won the fight you know."

He said again, munching on his cherry pies some more.

Normally the conversation would have gone on with Blackbeard talking about how the new era was bullcrap and that people needed to follow their dreams but…this time, he got his hands on a certain wanted poster a little bit earlier. One that displayed, Strawhats luffy's face with a bounty of 100 million berries. The amount he needed to become a warlord of the sea.

Zoro's sword suddenly left it's scabbard as he blocked a double bladed scythe from cleaving right through Nami.

"Ugh,he blocked my attack. Must be fate."

Doc q moaned as his horse jumped back. Zoro's injuries were forgotten as he unsheathed another sword. Nami was left wide-eyed at how close she had come to death.

Luffy jumped, stretched out his leg and slammed a kick right on Blackbeard's face. Blackbeard was thrown into the tavern where Bellamy and his crew were still drinking.

"Aaaahh, my face! That hurts! It hurts so bad!"

Blackbeard was rolling on wrecked tables and chairs crying out in pain. Bellamy came out with fury marring his feautures.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing, you…"

He didn't finish before a giant of a man, wearing a half mask, with purple hair got a hold of him and slammed him on the ground.

"Don't talk to the Captain like that!"

Luffy got into position, ready for a fight.

"Nami, you need to escape. These guys are strong."

Nami was about to argue but after seeing the serious look on his face she nodded and ran off while the rest were all pre-occupied.

Blackbeard got out of the wreckage with an angry scowl on his face.

"Blame your own luck Strawhat. Your bounty is 100 million berries. You're coming with me, whether you like it or not."

" I don't know you but if it's a fight you're looking for it's a fight you'll get!"

"Captain let me have a go at him. I can take him down for you!"

Blackbeard shook his head at Jesus Burgess' suggestion.

"No, we are on limited time. That guy is near here and his arrival will bring a lot of trouble for us."

Luffy didn't waste time and ran at Blackbeard his hands stretched far behind him.

"Gum gum bazooka!"

He planted both hands into Blackbeard's midsection and Blackbeard shot off again.

"Uaaaaagh aaah damn you Straw brat! That hurts…aaaahh"

He screamed again.

An apple landed at Luffy's side from where Zoro was trading blows with Doc q. Remembering what Nami had said, Luffy quickly launched the disguised bomb to Jesus Burgess who was watching the fight from the side.

The bomb went off, Jesus remained unscathed but the buildings around him were caught up in the blast. Pirates and civilians alike were streaming out of the buildings, running for their lives.

Dark smoke started rolling off of Blackbeard and Luffy was caught up in his black vortex, then slammed down on the ground. He spit out blood but Blackbeard was not done with him, with a sadistic look on his face, he slammed him dowm again a few more times. That was the scene Chris came across when he arrived.

(Chris P.O.V)

'It seems like my existence has already started changing things again' I mused to myself as Luffy was caught by Blackbeard's black vortex and slammed on the ground. I had planned to leave Blackbeard alone as he was a vital piece to the plot but this was just asking for it. You know what, fuck the plot.

I wasn't that familiar with using soru amid a fight so I decided not to use the rokushiki and slipped into Overdrive. I didn't feel like having a drawn out fight with Blackbeard and give him a chance to escape, so a quick death was all I had for him. I formed a shield behind me and blocked a punch from Jesus Burgess. He must have sensed my killing intent towards his captain. I kicked out, reinforcing my leg with red and heard a bone break. Jesus was thrown away and slammed into the trees behind us.

Another shield came into being around me, anticipating a bullet, that sure enough slammed into it aimed at my forehead. Just as I'd thought, Van Augur is hiding somewhere around here. Even though I knew where the shot had come from, my enhanced senses couldn't spot him. He was that good. Blackbeard had already noticed me, however, due to his distraction Luffy slammed a punch on his kidney and he doubled over howling in pain. Luffy jumped away breathing heavily.

Zoro was dodging bombs and scythe swipes from the sickly doctor, using the two-sword style. I trusted him to handle whatever Doc q dished out. Blackbeard was a different matter altogether though.

"Luffy, no offense but the way you are right now you can't beat him. I need you and Zoro to fall back."

He looked turned his attention around and finally spotted me.

"You're the guy who fell into our ship. Shishishi, I didn't know you were this strong."

"Yeah, I am and that's why I want to repay you by taking this fight off your hands."

"No way! This guy picked a fight with me, he's going down!"

Luffy shouted and I face-palmed. This stubborn guy. Ok, a change of tactics. I knew if Blackbeard got serious, Luffy wouldn't stand a chance.

"Think about your crew Luffy! What if the rest of this guy's friends went to attack your nakama at the going merry? Based on their strength they would get hurt. So stop being selfish and go!"

I knew that that was a dirty move but it was the only way to make sure Luffy would retreat.

"Shut up! Sanji and the rest are strong. I believe in them!"

"These are not like the enemies you have fought before. They will attack without mercy. Do you want your friend's deaths to be on your shoulders just because you couldn't give up one fight?"

That was the last straw. He gritted his teeth and stepped away from Blackbeard who was dragging himself up now.

"You're not going anywhere Strawhat!"

"Tch, you better kick his ass, Fall-down-guy! Zoro let's go save the crew!"

Zoro sent a blue sword slash at doc q who dodged out of the way, giving him enough time to slip away and join Luffy. Blackbeard stretched out his darkness to capture Luffy but I intervened with a slap construct right on his face.

"Bad boy Blackie! Your fight is with me."

This time he didn't even scream out but instead laughed. I could feel the anger bubbling up inside him, ready to be unleashed upon the world.

"Hahahaha, boy, you're gonna wish you never crossed me! Doc q, Burgess, Augur and Lafitte let's take this bastard down."

" Ugh, whatever you say."

" Hahaha now we're talking Captain."

" Aye."

" Understood captain."

Lafitte who had just arrived, was flapping his wings up in the air. What was he doing here? He was supposed to be at Marygeoise! Was this really all my fault? The whole crew was surrounding me and I felt anticipation. I was just about to fight one of the most despicable antagonists in the whole One Piece world and the thrill was getting to me.

So how to go about this? I've always fought my battles in a drawn out manner but sometimes variety is good. I formed a Katana sword construct in my hands akin to a normal asauchi, maintained it mentally and enhanced it with red afterwards. I then stopped channeling red and channeled blue to avoid Lafitte's hypnosis. I planted one leg before me and slightly bent forward, with the Katana on my hip, 'damn, does this look as cool as it feels?.

Jesus cradling his broken left arm used a high speed skill akin to Soru and appeared before me ready to strike down. Doc q was preparing to throw a bomb at me. Blackbeard had spread out his darkness and was sucking the debris on the ground, aiming to capture me. A shield had sprouted to block Van Augur's bullets and Lafitte was doing nothing.

How did I know this? At that time I had no idea but by a fluke, I had managed to unlock observation haki.

"Blitz avenger."

I named the impromptu move and flashed forward. One strike had Jesus Burgess head flying off his shoulder even before he knew what had happened, though to me everything seemed to be on pause. Another strike and Doc q had his body split from his head to his groin while still lying on his horse. I created a construct under me and propelled myself up, two slashes took out Lafitte's wings and quick thrust ensured his death. I created another construct above me, flipped and bounded off of it aiming for Blackbeard.

I planted the sword right through his back and destroyed his heart. Leaving the Katana inside his chest, I slipped out of my superspeed just before a sonic boom erupted from where I had been. Jesus Burgess head fell down separated from his body, a spray of blood spewed out of doc Q's body as it split into two halves. The horse started freaking out and ran away. Lafitte groaned out in pain, fell down and died and Blackbeard coughed out blood and fell to his knees.

I stepped around him and stood before his injured form. I was marveling at how strong this world's residents were because even after destroying his heart, he hadn't immediately died. His face was full of pain, shock and an unwillingness to die.

"You see, Blackie, you're to blame for all this. You betrayed your Daddy and killed your brother. How does it feel knowing that all the shit you've done and the years you have endured to get here, were all for nothing? To tell you the truth I was content to leave you alone but then you went and tried to capture Luffy. I'm not a good guy by any stretch but when someone helps me, I try to repay them. Too bad for you though. Goodbye Marshal D. Teach."

"Wait, please…help…"

I was surprised but not enough to not block, the hail of bullets firing at me from around me. Damn, Van Augur is fast.

"You can still talk? Doesn't matter, I am not letting you go."

I said that as I dismissed the Katana on his chest, re-created it and decapitated him.

Van Augur stopped shooting at me and surprisingly showed himself. I shook my head and curiously said,

"I never got why you joined Blackbeard in the first place. Someone with your personality and attitude, not to mention skill could have become whatever he wanted."

"He gave me a purpose. It was fated I join him."

"And now it's fated that you'll die here to me."

He shrugged nonchalantly. However, I was still wary of any tricks and sure enough a black apple appeared on his left hand. I quickly encased him in a bubble shield and layered it 5 times.

The explosion happened and when I dropped the shield up in the air a rush of air gushed out. Only ashes were left behind from the remains of one of the best snipers in the world. All in all a future Yonko died by my hands easily. That was not enough to make me overconfident however. I knew there were some hidden dragons in this world whose power most likely eclipsed mine.

"You killed Teach. He was mine to take out."

A voice said from behind me. I had of course sensed him when he had come into my range. I turned around and looked at Ace calmly, he had a complicated look on his face as he looked at Blackbeard's body.

"The plan was to take him back to Pops, now I don't know how he's going to react..."

He said as he exhaustedly sat on the stone remains of a wall.

"Hey you wanna come with me to meet him?"

I played dumb.

"Who?"

"Whitebeard."
