《A generic love story: disturbance》Chapter 10

Kenichi tried to sprint through the mob, seeing that he had thinned down their numbers. However, there were still too many in his way, and he was forced into a corner that was under construction. Spotting a few decently sized rebars, Kenichi grabbed one. Wielding it with two hands like a spear, Kenichi instantly shifted into a medium, back-heavy stance.
The thugs were repelled by the tip of his weapon, and no one was able to get close. Kenichi gracefully maneuvered the heavy steel rod in his hands as if it was a wooden stick. Using its reach to his advantage, he feinted by shifting his balance forward before suddenly chopping down on the thug`s Katana. The sword was torn in half, and its user had an iron rod jabbed to his face.
Blood spew from his mouth as the thug painfully hugged his face rolling on the ground. Seeing the splatter of blood, saliva, teeth and tears, the remaining enemies had little spirit left to continue the fight.
(Kyoya… Where is he!?)
The commotion covered Kyoya`s thumping footsteps as he rushed his way up the floors. Since there were still residents living in the higher floors of the apartment, Kyoya inevitably bumped into another guard. Keeping the opponent`s Wakizashi strictly in his sight, he moved back slowly while carefully observing the thug`s movements.
“Get over here you fuck!”
As if Kyoya was taking that as a signal, his back leg stomped the ground, shooting him at the thug. After two steps for momentum, he took a leap, with his front leg overly extended.
In mid air, he rotated his hips sideways, effectively switching his front leg behind. With all the torque from twisting his core, his back leg followed forward with immense force. The 180 switch kick whirled at his opponent, missing by a hair and left Kyoya`s back exposed. The thug was no greenhorn, and he took the chance to impale Kyoya. Spotting the opponent through his peripheral vision, Kyoya ducked forward, instantaneously chambering his right leg for a back kick. The recoil of the attack shoved him backwards, and Kyoya had to support the fall with his left arm. Thanks to almost falling over, the blade slit above Kyoya`s spine, whereas his kick went under the elbow and bashed the thug`s liver through his ribcage.

Feeling hot liquid slowly soaking into the back of his shirt, Kyoya frowned and cautiously treaded forward.
Hearing chaotic sounds from his walkie-talkie, the boss stood up and hurriedly ran downstairs to check. To his surprise, a short boy was found next to one of his downed men.
“You knocked out all of them and got here?”
Kyoya frowned.
“My mind is blown. You`re something kid. Coming for your sister? Didn`t they just treat you as objects and ditched you and your mom when that old hag got back to Tatsuya? Why should you care about that rotten girl?”
“Sei!”
Kyoya roared and charged at the boss.
“Heck I don`t find much young talent in fighting these days, it`s a shame to beat you up, brat.” The boss put up a boxing guard,
He had noticed how Kyoya kept his right hand above waist level while running. Stepping his back leg to the left, he dashed sideways right before Kyoya threw the overhead. The punch missed. Not letting Kyoya recover, the boss cocked his arm and threw a sharp hook.
The stone cold knuckles struck Kyoya`s soft cheek. The boy got shoved right into the next uppercut to the body. Knocked back, Kyoya desperately tried to dash away, but his opponent had greater reach. Kyoya ate a jab-cross combo, and with the momentum of the cross, the boss circled his back leg forward, before his backfist went spinning at Kyoya`s face.
He fell to the ground like a ragdoll, completely inert. The combo was so fast that Kyoya wasn’t even bleeding until a few seconds later.
“Keh. You did this to yourself kid.”

Gangs From Another World
This story takes place in a world like our own where magic and high technology rule the day. This particular world is ruled by a feline race. The race is divided up into 12 clans (like Greek city-states), with their own territories, solar systems and planets. These 12 clans answer to the original Home World for external disputes, negations, emergencies or to direct military operations only. Within the time-frame of this story, a new Emperor has recently ascended the throne, approximately a year has past since the ascension. He was the previous ruler of the Clan Ya-kith-Thar or Clan founding #3, world of the artisan cats. Unfortunately, not all residents have benefited from technological wonders. The forgotten, who were not lucky enough to be Royal born or middle class and above, experience a hard life, like those of the colonial worlds. The poorer denizens see the technological marvels from their windows, and yet experience little of it. This is the story of one such group living in the ghetto of the Capital city, written by Horus Blackburn, leader of the North-Central Gang.
