《The Lowly Gate’s Guard》To Waterloo Station (1)

Dean's battle against the host took everything out of him, he knew Hunter's were strong but he never thought he would go against one.
Frank was insane. He could raise the dead and even destroy parts of a building like it was nothing.
Dean got lucky, if the shield never appeared, he would be the corpse on the ground instead of Frank.
Dean frowned, he would have been happy he won but after the battle he felt like his chances of survival weren't looking too great, and he didn't know how many more Hunters he'd have to fight against. Dean didn't know if he could win without luck.
After ten minutes of sitting on the floor, another window appeared in front of Dean.
[Area Mission: Gather]
Difficulty: F
Clear Conditions: Arrive at Waterloo Train Station.
Time limit: 3 days
Rewards: 100 points
Failure: Death
The blue shining window gave Dean a sense of dread. He just survived a battle to the death because of a mission, and now another popped up as soon as he finishes the last one.
"Are you trying to kill me?" Dean swiped the window away in frustration. He just wanted half an hour to himself. Too much had happened, and he needed to process it.
Gate windows appearing outside, the literal end of the world, and people fighting to the death for what? Points?!?
Dean would rather be studying for his Hunter's test right now in his tiny apartment.
Something had dawned on him; he'll never be finishing the course that he went into debt for. More than two years of his life was down the drain, all that work wasted. His apartment was probably gone too.
There was something he wanted to do as a Hunter, but it looks like it'll never happen now.
"At least I won't have to pay back the loan."
Dean joked, cracking a smile, anger started to seethe through his mask.
He kicked Frank's corpse with his foot.
"For god's sake! WHY?" He shouted at the top of his lungs. The shout echoed through the destroyed building. A cold chill drifted through the hole that was left by the corpse he just kicked.

The corpse was stone cold. The memories of the owner that tried to kill Dean were still fresh. He wasn't in his world anymore, and things weren't about to get any easier.
"Dean?" A familiar voice came from the outside.
Dean picked up his metal pipe and followed the voice outside.
It was Mary, his coworker. She was more worn out than when he last saw her. It must have been rough for her, especially with her age.
Dean's angry and depressed mood changed; the sight of his coworker gave him hope.
Dean dropped his pipe and ran to her, ready to give her a hug. Tears began to swell in his eyes.
But before they could both get emotional, a younger man stepped in front of Mary, stopping Dean in his tracks. The man was holding a broad sword to Deans chest. He held it with one hand, the weight barely putting any strain on him. The man was in his late teens; he had short black hair and green eyes, he was tall and lean. His defined body shined through a tight black shirt. The shirt was partnered with cargo shorts and combat boots. Blood was stained across his outfit. He had a small scar across his right brow.
"Stay there." The man commanded, his voice low and cold.
Dean recognised the man; it was his and Mary's Boss.
"Sam! It's Dean!" Mary cried, grabbing onto his arm.
He pushed her off, keeping his sword pointed at Dean.
"Look at his shirt, he's covered in blood. I don't care if we worked together, or if you two had some sort of connection. People would kill their own children to live now." Sam's eyes were trained on Dean, his expression still.
Dean had always thought Sam was a bit of a dick, they never got on.
Sam started quite young as a Hunter, after being awakened at the age of sixteen, but gave it up at seventeen to watch over the Gates. That's how he became the boss of his group in record speed.
Dean couldn't understand why Sam would ever give up being a Hunter.

"I just fought for my life and you're pointing your sword at me because of a bit of blood? What about yourself?" Dean said as he pointed at the blood stains on Sam's clothes.
Sam kept his eyes on Dean, not replying to him. His sword still pointed at Dean’s chest.
Mary put her hands on Sam's arm.
"Sam, please." Mary pleaded.
Sam lowered his sword and let out a deep breath.
"Don't tell me that I didn't warn you when he stabs you in the back. Though he will never become a 'Hunter', he could still be dangerous." Sam told Mary, putting an emphasis on the word Hunter.
Sam knew it would cut Dean deep.
"There's an apocalypse and you're still a dick." Dean said. Sam glares at him.
"You what?"
"Boys!" Mary said in a motherly voice.
Sam backed away and crossed his arms, keeping a watchful eye on Dean.
Mary walked over to Dean; her arms raised for a hug. The two moves into in a warm embrace, they both hugged for a moment.
"It's good to see you again-"
Dean touched something furry on Mary's back as he hugged her. The furry thing bite Dean's hand in response.
"OW!" Dean shouted as he jumped back.
Mary was surprised at Dean suddenly shouting in pain. Dean blew on the hand that was bitten; small teeth marks indented in it.
The corner of Sam's lips raised at Dean’s panic, his loud reaction to pain brought him joy. Dean glared at Sam, seeing that he enjoyed his suffering.
Something clicked for Dean; he raised an eyebrow while he looked at Mary.
"You didn't..."
Dean went around Mary and found a chubby, ginger cat strapped in one of those baby carriers. The cat hissed at Dean, the fur around its lips covered in premium cat food.
"The world is ending, and you brought Tabby with you, and she's still treated like a queen." Dean's face dropped. The world is over, and she still spoilt that cat.
"Why would you bring the rodent." Dean jested. Mary slapped him on where the cat bite.
"Hey!"
"Don't be cruel."
"Okay okay, I'm sorry." Dean apologized, feeling like he was a little too harsh.
Sam pretended to clear his throat, cutting their conversation off. He covered his mouth with his fist.
"I would hate to ruin the heartfelt reunion, but we should be going. We've got three days Mary, bye Dean." Sam waved at Dean, his face showing a sign of disappointment that they had found him, and then he turned to head down the street.
"Sam. Dean's coming too." Mary said in a motherly tone, as if she were talking to a child.
"Mary-"
"No buts Sam." She cut him off, grabbing Dean's sprained wrist as she tried to guide him along. Dean yelped in pain.
"What's wrong?" Mary asked, her face was full of worry.
"My wrist's sprained." Dean gripped the arm of his sprained wrist, as if it would starve off the pain.
"You should have said so." Mary's face changed back to relief, as if a sprain was a small cold.
Mary faced Dean and held her hands above the sprained wrist.
[Mary has activated Heal Minor Wounds Lv1]
Her palms glowed green, the pain from Dean's wrist vanished. Dean rotated his wrist with ease. It was as if it had never been sprained.
"Wow!" Dean said, he was amazed. He wouldn't have to worry about bleeding to death with Mary around.
Mary could tell what he was thinking by the look in his eyes.
"I can only heal sprains and small cuts." Mary said, her eyes sad. She wished she could be of more help, but it was the only skill she had.
"It's alright, any help is better than none." Dean tried to cheer her up, he didn't want to see her upset.
She put her hand on Dean's shoulder, her posture gestured a silent thank you.
"Come on." Sam shouted; he had already started walking.
Both Dean and Mary walked down the street to follow him.
"Dick." Dean muttered under his breath.
