Chapter 2 Part II
Tizares: “Wait here for a second will you” he said as he glanced my way before bringing his hands up for a moment and whispering “Offkyrto moyne torpota nachla das dretei herpabl seelusha” and with that he opened a transport gate and put his hands through it.
His hands which disappeared up to his elbows fidgeted for a few moments before they pulled out. Upon their exit from the gate, they were accompanied by a tall lanky teenage wingless who had a shocked expression on his face.
The boy had an attractive face, but almost everyone who became an angel did so it wasn't really surprising.
Long beautiful black hair, accompanied by crimson irises was quite interesting.
The boy, Mephis, looked around in shock for a few moments before his eyes fell upon Tizares and his face went from shock to anger and hate.
I wonder why this boy hated Tizares? Oh well, it mattered little to me.
Mephis: “You...” his voice which was smooth and persuading was tinged with anger as he tried to create words for what he wanted to say “Did you finally decide to expel me?!” he finally yelled after a few moments of contemplation.
Tizares: “I'd never have brought you into my office if it was my choice 'Trash'” he spat out as he stared at Mephis “Our guest here” he said pointing towards me “Wanted to meet you” and with that he turned around and shut the gate and proceeded to move towards his desk and sit down.
Mephis: “You...” he paused in confusion as he looked at me “Wanted to meet me?” and then his eyes widened in shock as he registered what I was “MY LORD!” he yelled as he knelt before me, fear clouding him.

Tizares seemed pleased by the boys reaction as his lips twisted in delight.
Markas: “Rise boy” I said as I stared down at him “I've come here with an offer you cannot refuse” and with that I drop one thing from my personal dimension between me and Mephis, and that was my book regarding Astrology and geophysics, as well as a few other sciences regarding outer space and planetary make up.
Tizares and Mephis both stared at the book with several different facial expressions from confusion to understanding.
Mephis: “You want me to learn this?” he asked as he picked up the book in front of him which was titled 'Make up of a Terrestial Planet' and stared down at it “But why?” he asked with a voice full of curiosity.
Markas: “I just received my 'God License' as well as my own system and planet and I need someone to aid me” as those words escaped my lips, Mephis's face blew up in joy as he contemplated how much his status would rise because of this but then his happiness disappeared as he realised that 'he' had been chosen.
He who was a failing student had been chosen by a new god and for that reason his face was now covered in suspicion as he stared at me.
Markas: “You can't refuse me boy” and with that I brought out the sheet that Tizares had given me and threw it at him to which he picked it up and gulped nervously “Either accept, or face your expulsion” and as I gave him my ultimatum he looked up at me with anger and then in a few more moments in acceptance.
I smiled at him and looked at Tizares.
Markas: “Mephis has chosen to accept me as his lord, correct?” I said as I glanced at Mephis who simply nodded solemnly “Now that he has accepted me, he will be given the credits needed to pass the year” and with that Tizares sighed angrily.

Tizares: “Undeserving trash is what he is, but if he'll be of help to you there is no helping it” and with that he brought up the files regarding Mephis and began to stamp and sign a few things all while muttering under his breath. After a few moments he stared back up at me from his desk and declared “He has now graduated as a first year and is serving under the lesser god 'Markas' till the foreseeable future” and with that be brought two documents forward along with two pens and gestured for me and Mephis to come forward “You sign here” he said pointing at me and at my sheet and then turned to Mephis “The trash signs here” and once we had both signed he took the papers and pens as well as all of the other files away and stared at me.
Markas: “So we are done here now?” I asked Tizares to which he nodded and then I smiled at Mephis and placed my hand upon his forehead “Congrats on ranking up from a wingless to a lesser angel” and with that I placed my own karma inside of him which forced him to evolve.
The process was instant and after a bit of blinding golden light in front of me stood a tall, lanky angel who aside from having golden black hair and two small white wings on his back had no difference to his previous form.
Markas: “Congratulations my angel, you've gone up in the universe” and with that I warped him into my personal dimension before I turned back to Tizares and said “I also dropped off a Fikronian boy called Hellgin in the school, he has got my backing so treat him well” at my words Tizares pushed himself off of the table and yelled at me but I had already left and returned to my own dimension so I couldn't hear his screams.
Standing within my own wooden living room I turned to the confused angel and smiled.
Markas: “We have a lot of work to do boy” and with that I grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and carried him to my veranda and placed him onto the railing so that he could see my red dust ball “That is what we must revitalise” and he paled for a moment before turning to stare at me.
Mephis: “This will take...” he paused as he turned back to stare at the planet “Forever” his voice came out low and was tinged with sadness but he sighed as he came to acceptance with his own fate.
Markas: “We have all the time in the universe you know” I said as I stared at the red ball “Its not like we can die of old age” he groaned as I said that “but we may soon wish we could” and with that I turned back to go inside “You've got a lot of books to do some catching up on, best not dally out here boy”.
Authors Note:
I'm glad you guys are interested in this novel.
The next few chapters will be bickering regarding the planets design and that will determine how the planet is created, so I hope I can create an interesting planet for you all.

Journey West 5000
With her parents murdered and her brother abducted, a trainee Monk of the Gun pursues the one responsible, the Bull Demon King, undefeated Warlord of the Crimson Army.Struggling to track down her enemy while braving the dangers of the wilds, she enlists the help of Sun Wukong, but 500 years under a mountain have taken its toll. Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

Zoe Blanco moved to New York after fleeing the small town she grew up in and the Purity Church that controls it. The Church believes in keeping humanity pure. This means none of the NanoPCs known as Frames or any other cybernetics that most of the rest of the world uses and enjoys everyday. Upon arriving in the Big Apple, Zoe is picked up by her cousin and witnesses a courier weaving their motorcycle through traffic. Zoe envies the courier's freedom. Couriers transport data and on occasion small objects for anyone willing to pay the price. Secured delivery is guaranteed and no questions are asked. Like having a human servant in this corporate owned world, using couriers is seen as a status symbol for the wealthy and corporate elite. New York's criminal underground uses couriers for similar reasons. This gives the hundreds of couriers in NYC steady work. After weeks of not finding a job while living with her aunt and cousin, Zoe turns to her slicing skills to steal credits from the Purity Church and turns to the mob so she can get a loan to pay for the internal secure storage space a courier needs and a frame for herself. After making an unlicensed run or two, Zoe finds employment with a transport company and truly starts her life as a courier. This story is a mix of light scifi, cyberpunk, slice of life, a dash of action, and a smidge of fantasy. Slicing is what hacking is called in this story. Credits are currency in this story.
