Chapter 11
The duel
“Hitora, you simply are a fool.”
“eh?”
“You challenged the strongest knight in the entire clan, Kuriollus, if there is one extreme talent, it is him, although he hasn’t reached his potential he surpasses even me and Elizabeth who are from a direct bloodline.”
The…strongest…knight…
Okay I should quit. But I’ve come too far.
I hold the sword in my hand, it’s blade elegant and light. Lehtrious, by itself it relatively powerful.
“Hello master, are we engaging in combat! Shall I walk through my various combat modes and abilities, after all I am a legendary sword!”
“No thanks, just show me in battle.”
“Yes!”
I pull the legendary sword out of its sheath on my back.
“Engaging defense mode!”
A suit of armor surrounds my body. Huh?
I hear the gasp and’s looks of surprise from my classmates, “What, type of sword he is using?”
Prepare the feel wrath of Lehtrious, it’s blade shining in all it’s glory.
“Prepare to die fool!” I say as I charge with my first strike.
I swung my sword towards Kuriollus, it was a fast blur of motion, as I struck it down upon him.
But he was too fast.
He moves to the left of the attack as if it was nothing.
My first magic powered strike is gone.
I only have one chance to beat this guy, even though I have a legendary weapon and very good amour. My experience in combat is little, and this guy is an extreme talent.
There is a smirk on his face that says it all, he’s won.
He was previously unarmed, but now in his hands was nothing but a medium grade sword, looking from its appearance.
Before I knew it his blade was piercing through the left side that was open.

Or so I thought so.
Somehow, I landed behind him, and Lehtrious was placed in his torso.
“I won…”
He landed of my blade and fell to the floor.
“I really won?”
And then his body was flung across the room from the elixir I made.
There I was standing looking at a man I had killed in battle, an extreme talent!
“Haha…”
A devil some laugh filled the room.
His body disjointed, and a gory mess rose to it’s feet. It was back to it’s previous stage, it’s body regenerated.
His left eyes was emitting a strange redness.
Huh?
“I didn’t think I’d pull my trump card on a mere mouse like you, it seems you are a worthy opponent, but you simply don’t deserve the ability to do magic, once I defeat you, I’ll leave you with a greater punishment than death!”
He runs at me with immense speed, my body weak and frail from the powerful strikes I used, could do nothing but wait in agony.
He punches in the stomach so fast and hard that my body is blown to the other side of the hall, he teleports right next to me.
“Your punishment is… you will never be able to use magic ever again!”

8 164Rage: Crisis / Consequence / ???
Its been ten years since Seth was given his powers, ten years since his town was driven mad by that very same power, and ten years since its source was shunted into his head. A species of energy beings, a people filled with regret for what their entrance onto this world caused. Regret for the deaths that town perpetuated, the devastation they brought, the blow they served to the once proud heroes of this world. Heroes Seth now hopes to join, hopes to heal and atone to for what transpired. But their wounds run deep, their ire sharp, and their acceptance thin. And to top it all off... Seth's power is run far deeper than he knows, and sees his world in a light all its own. This series is my first foray into authoring, with two parts out of at best four if the readership stands. But part three will still book end nicely otherwise. And I'm not stopping till then. It is action heavy with varied and ramping up fight scenes through out. (Book 1 is heavy / Book 2 a little lighter) It is bloody in places, mildly gory in others, and heavily gory in simulated places. Nothing truly horrifying, I think, but be warned. It has trauma. PTSD is a major part of the story, but I will never trust that I got it completely right, so your mileage may vary on how believable or impactful it is. Lastly it has language. Swearing ebbs and flows as the story progresses and attitudes harden or soften. Sometimes bleeding through into the narration... somehow.
