《Unbound Reality.》Free labour

The conversation between Ben and his construct had taken long enough for the moon to revolve around the planet multiple times. When the conversation was leading to an end both were laughing heartily as they shared their views, which were surprisingly different as Ben and his construct were almost literal copies of each other.

Ben who had been carving out his own little world had missed social interaction. When he was still on Earth Ben had minimal contact with others but he still interacted with others on a small scale. He thought that he could survive being all on his own but on the contrary, conversing with his construct opened his eyes that even he still needed some form of social interaction. Some people say that they could function perfectly all on their own but deep down, everyone needs to speak to someone sometimes, be it through physical interaction or through the internet, it still helps.

Seeing his first planet being a success Ben decided to create another planet, but this time with the help of his construct. He could just imitate what he had done the first time but Ben decided that that would be boring.

This time he wanted to create a planet through accretion, that means that a planet would be formed through gravity pulling a collection of materials from out of space to form a large body which would eventually be called a planet. Of course the lack of these materials would make this idea impossible but all Ben needed to do was create these lacking variables.

Currently the only things present were the planet, the Moon and Sun and of course Ben's construct. Every one of these were made out of atoms which were the building blocks of the universe as everything was fundamentally made out of atoms. The amount of atoms present currently couldn’t even be called a fraction of how many atoms there were back on Earth. There were approximately 1.2 × 10^56 atoms in the solar system with around 10^82 atoms counted in the known and observable universe. Each individual atom served its purpose whether small or big they mattered.

Now, Ben had only created three things which held large amounts of atoms, all of those didn’t even come close to the full amount. Saying that what Ben had created was only a drop in an ocean would be underestimating how big these numbers actually are.

Now all Ben needed to do was release something that would set off a chain reaction which would lead to creating the universe.

Ben looked at his construct with a mischievous smile on his face, he had created his construct out of curiosity and saw if he could actually clone himself but now that he had done that, why not use this opportunity for free labour. Or, better said, test out the capacity of his construct and what he would be able to achieve on his own, it wasn’t as if Ben didn’t want to do it himself or anything…

[The pov of the construct.]

When I was first created I immediately knew why I was created, it wasn’t for any grand reason besides the curiosity of my Creator. My knowledge came quickly after I was created, and what my capabilities were, but knowing and actually doing something are completely different from each other. I knew I could destroy planets with but a thought, erase life and stop it from ever being able to sprout ever again and yet I knew even with these abilities I didn’t have a fraction of my creators vast power.

What I wasn’t able to understand even with my vast knowledge was why my Creator was limiting himself, he had the ability to do literally anything yet he chose to let things play out for themselves after setting things into motion. I simply guessed that my creators' reasons were much more complicated than my abilities allowed me to understand. I may be a copy of his structure but it didn’t copy the memories and thoughts my Creator had.

When my Creator first came to talk to me I was excited, I couldn’t contain my excitement but seeing my Creator lost in thought gave me time to explore what he had done. I explored what my knowledge dubbed the Sun and Moon, though the Sun clearly stood out more to me. A source of heat which was created from the creators own body, everything was yet nothing actually held any direct connection to the Creator.

After my Creator and I finished talking my Creator went back into his thinking pose which he subconsciously took. I didn’t know what he was thinking about but I could feel as if what he was planning would end up biting me in the back.

I knew that although I was created out of curiosity my Creator would most likely not waste such an opportunity, I would most likely be put to work whilst my Creator would go on and do his own things, not that I mind doing as such.

I might not be as powerful as my Creator but in the grand scheme of things I most likely stand above all else in terms of power. In the future there might be beings smarter than me yet not as knowledgeable as me, there might be beings that surpass me in strength but unable to defeat me and there will come beings that will surpass my beauty.

A sudden voice brought me out of my musings, with only my Creator near I already knew who the voice belonged to.

“Construct, I have a task for you.” I could’ve sworn I saw an evil smile on my creator's face, yet who am I to decide what is evil and what is not. I mentally sigh and prepare for whatever my Creator needs me.

“What is it that you need me for, Creator?”

“I want you to shape the universe, on your own.” It… was not what I expected. To have such a task asked of me, it was an honour. I guess my Creator could see the excited look in my eyes as he continued speaking.

“I see you don’t mind such a simple task, I expect to see many new things.”

After everything was said and done my Creator left, headed towards the moon where he presumed to sit on its smooth surface.

I couldn’t wait to start my first real task!

[Normal pov]

Ben mentally patted himself on the back as he thought about his construct’s excited innocence. Ben had decided to let his construct play the major part in creating the universe, that way Ben could still relax and in the future he could explore said universe to see what his construct would have come up with.

The funny part was, everything would still be a part of Ben as he is directly connected to his construct. It would allow him to feel everything the same way he does with the planet though he wouldn’t be as present as he was with the planet he had created. He was sure if there was something wrong somewhere in the universe he would be able to feel where and what it was but for now, he decided to kick back and watch his construct work his ‘magic’...
