Ben was currently looking dumbfounded at himself, it was not as if he was looking into a mirror and simply seeing his own reflection. No, it was even more bizarre than you could imagine. In the middle of space, where there were no reflective surfaces present, there were two identical entities floating in front of one another.

Two equally dumbfounded Ben’s were looking at each other, both fully aware what was happening yet when Ben had tried this weird idea of him he never expected it to work so well.

{Two hours before.}

Ben had enough of looking down on the planet, literally, and wanted to do something himself that didn’t have anything to do with creating a planet. Whilst he was observing the planet he had discovered the existence of unicellular organisms such as bacteria and yeast, and when he did he discovered something amazing. Unicellular organisms such as bacteria reproduce by cloning themselves as they replicate asexually.

Ben, who had been hit by sudden inspiration, started to try and clone himself, even though he knew the risks of cloning himself when he held the power over everything he didn’t care. So what if his clone would end up being some evil being, it is not like there is any life to kill or anything valuable to steal. And replicating the process of creating a planet was easy enough for Ben to do, all he had to make sure was that he couldn’t be killed by his clone which he was 99% sure his clone wouldn’t be able to do and he didn’t even think he was able to die.

It was such a simple task for Ben to copy these unicellular organisms' strange properties that even Ben thought it was ridiculous, he just hoped that whenever or if sentient life came to be they would not be able to reproduce using this method. Even if Ben didn’t really care about what happens on this planet it would be really awkward if everyone who was alive looked like one another.

Trial and error, Ben was able to successfully clone cells from his body yet he was unable to make tissue from these cells. Through these cells Ben could feel a strong connection, stronger than his connection with the planet and everything he had created. It was as if it was an extension of himself yet there was something more, instead of these cells just being something under Ben’s control Ben could feel that they possessed the ability of self thought if they were able to grow to a point where thought was possible.

Trying to just simply group these cells together to form tissue didn’t work, in the very short minutes Ben was tinkering with this idea of his he had hit a roadblock. He had to form tissue from these individual cells, then he had to create organs from these tissues, after that came the organ system which consisted of multiple organs which all combined would form an organism.

Ben had tried to merge single cells of him to form tissue and many other methods over the past hour, but he had yet to try and completely clone everything at once. Ben didn’t want to try this at first as he didn’t want to have an exact copy of himself but apparently creating something just by cloning his own cells didn’t work.

When Ben tried to clone everything at once, instead of a clone instantly appearing in front of him it was as if it was a move. Very dramatically the body started to be built layer by layer, first came the skeletal and connective tissue systems that exactly resembled Ben's body shape, even though these bones were plain and without shape Ben knew that it looked exactly like his bone structure. Then thread by thread the Lymphatic and nervous system starter forming and intertwining between the bones.

Then the vascular systems started to form, both venous and arterial which served to circulate the blood to and from the heart. This system was very important as it served to circulate oxygenated blood and blood which is low in oxygen around the body. If the body were to lack oxygen everything wouldn’t just work thus this system was important, well to mortals anyway.

After the blood flow was in place organs started to connect to these arteries and veins which were securely protected by the skeleton. First was the respiratory system and then the digestive system. When all was said and done you could see the lungs moving as if it was breathing but what was weird was because there were yet to be muscles present the lungs moved wrongly, it couldn’t properly move with just the diaphragm. Thus the next thing that started to form were the muscles, the muscles that were controlled by either the central and peripheral nervous system.

With that done all what was missing was the skin, the largest organ in the human body. Ben did not need to have skin as the skin's main function was to protect against mechanical, thermal and physical injuries and hazardous substances. He didn’t need it because he was immune to those things, nothing external could kill or harm him and he could only be harmed by his own thoughts. Which somehow sounds a bit poetic.

“You can only be harmed by your own thoughts.”

-Godack.

As the skin started covering Ben’s clone the body started to more and more resemble Ben. His height, muscle shape started to be seen as a well toned body started to take shape. The same skin color, which was on the darker side reflected the sun's rays just like how Ben's skin did. When the skin was done covering the body hair started to grow out on the appropriate places, though the length of his hair was shorter than that of Bens.

Though the weirdest thing from this whole ordeal was that it had also copied Ben's clothing, the same clothing he had ever since falling through reality. Both wore the same clothes yet the clothes of the original looked as if they were ancient, they looked duller than the new look that the clones clothing had…

{Present time.}

Both were inspecting each other, looking down and up stopping when they both looked in each other's eyes. Both were looking each other in their identical eyes with curiosity and excitement, a smile present on both their faces.

They were perfectly in sync, they had the same heartbeat, breathing tempo and movement. As Ben raised his hand up his clone did exactly the same at the same time, yet these two entities were very different from each other. One was an unimaginable power and the other was a construct of this being's power though this construct had its own will and mind.

If this construct decided it wanted to blow up the planet it could freely do so, unless Ben physically stopped it from doing so. Ben didn’t have a ‘leash’ around his construct to control it, it was more of an explosive in its skull that Ben could freely detonate if he wanted to.

“You are me?” Ben ‘intelligently’ blurted out, it was Ben's first ‘social’ interaction in about two millenia. Of Course Ben’s social skills, which weren’t great before, would be stiff.

“I am you.” The construct stated as if it was an indisputable fact. Though these two entities were exactly the same you could easily notice that the construct held more confidence over himself then Ben had.

“Are you self-sustainable?”

“No, without you I cannot exist, just like how anything present cannot exist without its creator.” The construct said motioning towards the planet and everything around it. Ben looked like he was lost in thought, completely ignoring his construct. Whilst Ben was ignoring his construct being completely distracted his construct started to float around like how a child would if it had just discovered they possessed the ability to fly. Even though this construct seemed mature in it’s speech and the way it held itself it ultimately was a newborn child, only in the form of an adult.

The construct was inspecting everything in its immediate area, such as the Sun and moon in the distance whilst quickly skimming over the planet as if it wasn’t interesting enough. When it was done doing so it started to float towards Ben. Like how most young children would do to gain attention from its distracted parent it started poking Ben, obviously looking to gain attention.

Ben who wasn’t used to physical contact over these milenia was shocked out of his thoughts. When he was alone he could get lost in thought for how long he wanted but now he had something to pay attention to, who knows what kind of mischief his construct would be up to.

“What are you doing? ” Ben looked down confused at the upside down form of his construct that was still poking him, because they were in space there really wasn’t an upside or downside but from Ben’s view it looked strange.

“You seemed lost in thought while we were previously conversing.”

“Hmm, that reminds me, what can you do exactly?” Ben said whilst stroking the perfectly grown beard that had grown on his face. After millennia Ben’s facial hair started to grow freely, yet it stopped growing when it reached ‘perfect’ size, which of course Ben didn’t mind as it made him, in his opinion, look better.

“The only thing I cannot do is create something out of nothing, unlike you who can.”

“Why is it that you know all this?” “Do you perhaps not limit your own knowledge?” This was the only logical way why his construct would know a lot, Ben had to limit the amount of knowledge he gained as he liked to play without the ‘guide’, maybe his construct had the same access to this information yet didn’t limit himself.

“No, all I know is about myself and what you already know and allow me to know.”
