When Ben had decided to sleep he had not anticipated that he would be asleep for millenia, though instead of being mad to have missed so many years of possible enjoyment Ben was rather happy. Better said, he was ecstatic, even if he was currently somehow floating in the middle of space he could easily see the change on the planet. Instead of the pale rocks that served as landmass ,many years ago green had taken its place, the color of nature.
Ben could easily deduct that while he was in dreamland for a long long time the world didn’t sit still waiting for him to awaken, it was just like a young puppy, it wouldn’t just sit still for its owner if it wasn’t being told otherwise. When Ben focused on the now blue and green sphere he could easily see the massive forests that had come to life, from tropical forests where it was hot and very wet to boreal forests where it was cold and dry to the giant grassy hills and plains that had covered most of the planet.
What had Ben shocked the most was what he had spotted at the other side of the planet, this giant Tree that easily dwarfed everything from the mountains to the shrubbery around it. Never had Ben seen such a giant tree, sure he had read about Yggdrasil, the world tree, from norse mythology but it was just that, mythology. Reading about it sure doesn’t hold a candle to seeing the real thing.
The only thing Ben thought that was missing from this perfect picture were the animals that would be living on the branches of the tree in the future, he could even imagine some elven huts down at the roots of the tree or hanging from its massive branches. He had obviously read about the fictional novels that were all over the internet back on his Earth, in some where there was a form of the world tree elves were always somehow involved, either worshipping the tree as some deity or protecting it as their holy grounds.

But that was something Ben wasn’t willing to do, create sentient life. Seeing how just from sleeping the world evolved he had nothing stopping him from thinking that just like how plant life came to be, intelligent life would also come. Whether they would actually resemble anything he knew of was a question for another day, but with how his subconscious works, you’ll never know.
…
Back on the planet itself, far away from its creator something interesting was happening. Somehow, somewhere during the time Ben was asleep the planet's crust was broken forming tectonic plates that shift towards, from and along eachother. Volcanoes were much more common after it happened, though how these tectonic plates were ultimately formed is unknown, it couldn’t be some sort of meteor as there wasn’t anything solid inside space except for the moon, sun and Ben ofcourse.
Now that there were tectonic plates the magma flowing deep below the planet's crust forces these plates to move, very slowly. Obviously with this will come earthquakes and tsunamis. That was the interesting thing happening on the planet, a tsunami. Keep in mind that the size of this tsunami doesn’t come close to the ones Ben had made when the planet was just a sphere of liquid but it was still impressive.
This tsunami was currently crashing against the shoreline where a beautiful rainforest was situated, causing the trees that weren’t able to root themselves strongly enough in the ground to be uprooted. Water was flowing through the trees crashing against every corner it came across, though it wasn’t the first time this forest had witnessed a tsunami.
…
Elsewhere, instead of a tsunami hitting the shore there were numerous tornadoes raging through open fields. Each tornado left behind a trail of destruction, raging freely through the lands unstoppable by any force, this era was the era where nature ruled, not man.

Whilst Ben was looking at the planet he obviously noticed that there was some form of life present. He had noticed that bacteria had been spreading almost everywhere where some form of plant life was present, though there were some where there was no plant life but they were few in numbers compared to where plants were. Ben knew that bacteria don’t age, they simply are born, grow and divide. There is no death when it comes to aging, of course there is the case of lysis, necrosis and PCD. Which mostly means that they can die from external causes such as infection, not enough nutrition(which is also why bacteria weren’t able to ‘take’ over the world) and also the bacteria itself could kill off parts of itself to ensure survival for the rest.
“Heh, I’m like a bacteria...” Ben said somehow able to make soundwaves in the vacuum of space. This, of course can be explained by the fact that Ben can affect everything around him as everything is made from him. Though what Ben was looking forward to the most was what would be different in this world compared to his previous world, and he immediately noticed something different...
The waves, back on his planet wind and the gravitational pull from the moon and sun caused the waves, well the gravitational pull mostly influenced the tides, and thus tidalwaves. But here, they didn’t. Even if the moon and sun's gravitational pull somewhat reached far enough to influence the seas they didn’t. It was as if there was a barrier that stopped these forces from reaching the water.
What was even more weird was, there were still tides present. Ben had seen the water rise and fall, yet it should not have been possible due to there not being any gravitational pull enabling it. Yet it still did, this required further investigation.
...
Ben looked down on the planet aware of everything that was currently happening on the surface. He saw how the landscape was easily changing under the influence of the weather, each form of natural disaster known to Ben was present. It had taken a few millenia for the planet to evolve to such an extent and Ben couldn’t wait what the future had in store for him...

A note from the Author: PLEASE leave a review and alert me of any plot holes, weak portions, and anything else. I am in desperate need of beta readers and feedback. I wrote this around the new year, 2020. It's about 40k words and the first in a planned series that follows Gar "Alany" Darron and his agency of detectives as they track missing persons in the city of Throne. I have the sequel planned but not written. Once this one is completely uploaded, I'll be uploading another, unrelated series that as of right now is roughly 160k words long, and somewhere in there, I'll write the sequel to Frame of Mind. I plan to go back and forth between the two series for the foreseeable future. Thanks for reading.
