It was time to create the moon, well technically it was already made and it only needed to be cut out of its “mold”. Ben started to prepare to cut out a piece of the stone, well, it’s not technically cutting it either.
Ben grasped his control over the forces, mainly the gravitation one and his blood that was still flowing out of his body. Ben chose a good location where the moon would be formed, and that currently was the opposite side of the sun.
Ben willed his control over gravity to appear at the spot he had chosen, and when he did so Ben could feel a second pull pulling on his body yet this pull was many times weaker than the pull of the planet itself. It was negligible at most.
When Ben did so, even when it was many times weaker than the original Ben’s blood was affected by it. It started to “fall” up instead of down like it had been doing previously, it was as if gravity was being distorted, oh wait…
Around the spot the blood gathered, it changed from its blood red color to a bright hot yellow color.
It took less drops of Ben’s blood to form this core unlike the core that was inside of the planet, this was obvious as the moon would be smaller than the planet. After it was done gathering Ben’s blood it started to affect the planet, loose rocks that hadn’t mended with the seabed started rising up, even some of the already connecting land mass started breaking up floating up.
Instead of being affected by the stronger gravitational pull they ignored it and allowed themselves to be affected by the weaker pull. Ben looked at this and thought that maybe he could also choose which pull would affect him more, no matter the strength of either pull.
Ben focused on the pull he felt being affected by when he created the core of the moon, and seconds later he was slowly being pulled up. Ben noticing the ground becoming smaller and smaller looked down nervously, he was never scared of heights, but apparently dying by jumping off a tall building can change something in you, something like ptsd or something.
But Ben ignored this feeling as to not get affected by such thoughts, he knew he would be safe no matter what. That same secure feeling was there, and would always be there.
Ben stopped focusing on the gravitational pull and stopped midair, Ben didn’t want to fall down so he didn’t try and focus on the stronger pull. Ben was completely free from any form of gravity, he was as free as a bird now, no, he was more free than a bird.
Ben could move around the sky like a leaf in the wind, it was exactly what he did. Ben soared through the sky at speeds that broke the sound barrier. But even though Ben moved at such speeds he was easily able to see everything he passed. Completely unaware that there was now a giant purple sphere in the sky on the other side of the planet. As to why it was purple, it was done by the subconscious mind of Ben.

…
Ben stopped flying when he noticed the sky darkening, he had been flying long enough to completely enter different time zones where the change in time was easily noticeable. Ben could finally get a good look at his moon.
The moon that Ben had always known to be gray was now this purple color that closely resembled the color when the aurora borealis would form from particles colliding with the atmosphere at around 80 to 100 kilometers, which would be with nitrogen. This purple glow had captured the sky monopolizing the night sky, it was as if the moon was its own light source.
Ben stared at the moon, following it’s every move until it ultimately dipped down the horizon whilst the sun had already appeared above it. The sight was mesmerizing, the whole world was silent and peaceful.
Ben felt it was a good time to sleep. He didn’t know if he even needed sleep or how long he was awake but he felt he had deserved such a luxury after making a lot of things.
Unbeknownst to Ben, he would miss a lot.
…
As Ben fell asleep his body rose up to the sky disappearing through the clouds, his body didn’t stop rising until his body had completely left the atmosphere. As Ben doesn’t need to breathe as he can easily survive the vacuum of space that had been formed after Ben created gravity. Not that there were any atoms there to begin with as Ben had only created the planet and moon consciously from his own body, whilst the sun also stems from his body it was completely made unconsciously.
Ben’s body was slowly floating in place in the middle of the dark abyss known as space, his chest, even though he is located in space, moves up and down with each breath. An expression of serenity and relief shown on Ben, compared to how he lived the previous 23 years, these few hours were enough for Ben to completely forget about the reality and indulge in his fantasies. From the way Ben’s facial expressions move ever so slightly it was easy to tell that he was having a pleasant dream…
…
It has been over two millennia since the planet has last seen its creator, it might seem as if time suddenly flowed faster but it has actually been two millennia since Ben entered his slumber. But in these two millennia of absence a lot started to change, the formerly barren land riddled with spewing volcanoes and cracked rocks is now covered in plant life. There even were some unicellular organisms like bacteria present. These plants came to life due to the residual essence that Ben had left when he had stayed on the planet.
His stay might have been short, but because his very existence is literally everywhere and thus is also his influence everywhere. Whilst he may be in deep slumber he has been leaking energy never seen on any scale before, both in the past and future. This energy that is thus spread everywhere affected the world Ben had created, forcing plants to slowly come in existence.

Ben might’ve been able to create life on a whim if he was awake but he had chosen to go to sleep, not out of necessity but because he wanted to, you could call it a very long beauty sleep. Now because he didn’t do it manually life started to form after roughly two millenia, first some plants and then came the unicellular organisms. Unicellular organisms mostly dominated the waters in the form of plankton, but with plankton being a very complex organism at the cellular level they really couldn’t be compared to a unicellular organism.
The first form of plant life was in the form of a tree, you’d expect it to be a simple plant or a flower but instead you get a tree. Not just any tree, in only a matter of days of it first sprouting it easily stood taller than an office building. With brown bark glistening under the Sun’s rays and the leaves casting large shadows stood the tree tall, and as the years passed other trees stemming from this singular tree started to form, albeit slower than the first.
After a decade of fast growth the tall tree finally broke through the atmosphere in height, from the geological position of the tree the height of the atmosphere compared to the ground was roughly 13 kilometers. Meaning that the tree stood now taller than 13 kilometers, many, many times taller than the tallest tree on earth.
As the years started to fade once again the geographical landscape started to change, before it had just been an empty rocky surface, then some plants and now after the years started eroding the stone and life started to influence the landscape things started to change. Some places were warmer, some colder and some wetter. But the most ancient landscape never changed, the poles.
The same ice that Ben had formed to stand on had drifted and finally settled on a land mass up north. With it came the cold, temperatures reaching up to forty degrees below zero, because of these cold temperatures life became almost impossible to form at these locations, and only the most resilient of life forms were able to survive, and they did. These life forms might die if they were to suddenly be placed in a hot environment but nevertheless, these life forms would be able to adapt to almost anything.
Of course, life on the poles weren’t the only ones to change. Everything is subject to change eventually, and without the interference of humankind this environment is perfect for any lifeform. Life started to blossom, different kinds of trees started to form, to name a few of the many variants are oak and its many variants, the most basic of trees, birch, giving the forests some light colors, and many more species of trees. But the most intriguing form of trees would be the Giant tree and its descendants, all sharing their giant form and reflective brown bark forming giant forests.
Things eventually settled down with the sudden growth of life as the river of time that never stops flowing blended into the background. This metaphorical river is what influences the sun and moon, life and death and earth and the air, yet this river isn’t as metaphorical as people may think.
It is like this, with enough power someone could build a metaphorical dam to keep this river from flowing, only what that would cause the river to overflow, leading to multiple smaller rivers branching off in many directions, some would lead to the end of everything and others would lead to prosperity and peace, this is what is called the butterfly effect. A single flap of the wings of a butterfly causes storms on the other side of the planet.
The size of this metaphorical dam also correlates to the amount of power someone holds over this river, if there is only a small amount of energy stopping this river then only a small area would be affected. Entities like Ben who have omnipotent power stand outside of the influence of the river of time, they would be aware of everything going on, they are connected to the main river, the main timeline, but also know about every possible outcome, the rivers that branched off.
You might think with Ben being a former human that his brain wouldn’t be able to handle such amounts of information but you are wrong. The moment Ben shattered reality he left his humanity behind. He does no longer belong to any race, he is just existing. This allows Ben to be unbound to any rules or limitations that are automatically put on mortal races, like how humanity back on earth were limited to certain energies, completely blocked off from what people might call magical energies.
...
A few peaceful millenia later with life happily evolving back on the planet Ben’s body hasn’t moved from its original position. Suddenly, with a sound that could even be heard in the vacuum of space Ben’s eyes shot open having immediately forgotten the dream he was having.

World Story: Biographies of Extraordinary People
Important note: I’d like to thank Dr. Buller for their advice on dialogue by their critical review. And I’m on a one-month break to post the first revised chapters on Scribble Hub. Please stay tuned! Even in faraway worlds, every folk had a story, and monsters came in numerous shapes and sizes. However, heroes never existed in this otherworld. Even the most idealistic understood this deep within. But as they abandoned their humanity at times, they quickly regained it. It was not that they became human again. They always were. So what happened when the monster devoid of humanity appeared? Well, the “heroes” sought to slay it at all costs either way, lest it would be the end of their stories. A portal/isekai fantasy that I wanted to deconstruct some elements within. Expect a whole ton of references and dialogue because I’ll deliberately write it more like a light novel. The last thing to consider is that Japanese names in my novel will come with kanji/hiragana characters within parentheses. The same goes for any other derived from non-Latin writing systems. It’s because none of the names I write will be accidental or random. They’ll all have meaning. New chapters Monday to Thursday at 11:00 PM (GMT+8), though sometimes I can’t. Credit for the cover art goes to HWPerfidy. She’s a freelance artist on this site, and I’d love anyone who shows her support.

Captain Critiques: A Grumpy Pirate Review Book
(CURRENTLY OPEN)When it comes to reviews, I'm probably as harsh as the hellhole most story ideas crawl out of. I'm blunt, sarcasic, to the point and I know what I like in a story. As you can probably guess, you don't wanna take my advice if your like an overprotective mother about your story. Who am I kidding, EVERYONE is like that about their stories. But, if you could find the courage to pry the story out of your cold, crabby hands so I can give my brutally honest opinion then be my guest. Just don't try and start a fight once I provide it. You DON'T wanna fight a pirate. .................................. I reserve the right to decline stories as this will be taking up quite a bit of my time and if I say no, I mean NO. If your blurb is unreadable I will decline it. If it includes the genres mentioned in my 'Hell No' section then I will send it back where it came from.Do NOT critique the Captain.
