《Playtime》Chapter Twenty-Four

The cut was quick and clean. I just felt a sting before I felt the air leave my body. I collapsed as I felt the warm liquid leak down my neck. The outside world was fading quickly; more quickly than I expected. I look at Avery before smiling slightly. She hurried to me, but by then half of my life was gone. I saw the colors clash together and my blood leave my body. I release on last breath before letting my body be consumed. The last thing I heard was Avery calling my name over and over again before I completely black out.

When I wake up, I notice a bandage around my neck. I notice a different room. A white room. I laid on a small bed that I was chained to. I pull on it, terrified and scared. I scream and scream until my voice couldn’t give anymore. I cry and sink to the floor. I didn’t want to live anymore. I didnt’ want to be here, alone and terrified.
“Good, you’re up.” a deep voice says in front of me. I peek from my hair to see a tall guy with dark hair standing in front of me. He had bright blue eyes and wore a white lab coat. I glare as I yank on the chains.
“What did you do!?” I scream. “Why didn’t you let me die!? Why did you save me!?” I felt my air enter my lungs, hurting my neck. The guy walks over and yanks back on the chains. I yelp as I fall to the ground. I didn’t have the strength to fight anymore. I was too exhaustd to go on.
“Stay calm, Savanna. Your body is under a lot of pressure.” He said trying to make his voice soothing. It wasn’t. It was harsh and dry against my ears. “The demon has had too much of an influenze on you. I’m here to help you.” I shake my head as my blond hair falls infront of my face.

“I don’t want your help. I want yoongi.” I state. “But I can’t. He’s dead. So good luck trying to help me. I won’t let you.” I turn away and felt the cold wind on my face. His tone, his voice was vanishing quickly from my mind, but I forcd myself to hold onto it.
The guy sighed and pulled a chair in front of me. He took a seat before extending a hand. I ignore it and keep staring out the window. How I wished that I was the one gone.
“I’ve seen others in your position,” he said. “You’re actually the first that went through with killing yourself.” my gaze shifts to him as he sets the paperclip on the table. “Good thing Avery was there.” I yank on the chains and finally break down.
“I wanted to join Yoongi!” I scream. “I wanted to show him that I was willing to follow him.” The dude nodded. “Who are you?” I finally ask glaring.
“Name’s Jooheon,” he answers. “I’m an angel.” My head snaps up at the mention of his identity. “The counsel sent me.” I clench my fists before glaring. The area went bright red and my head began to throb with pain. I ignore it and hold the gaze with Jooheon. He doesn’t budge. His dark eyes seemed to calm me down just enough for him to keep talking.
“The counsel wanted to see if there was another way to free you from the grasp without taking your memory.” he explains inching closer. “I said I’d do.” I lower my head and felt my heart slowly stitch itself back up.
“I don’t think I can do it,” I say glancing up. Jooheon smiles a little before touching my face.

“Do you want to?” He asks making me ponder. Did I want to? Was I ready to move on from all the dark and torture? I take a breath and nod.
“Yes.” I answer honestly. He takes the clipboard and takes his hand off of my face. I felt heat rush to my cheeks as I look at him stand up.
“See? You’re already improving.” He says before exiting the room. I bit my lip before sighing and letting the pain and sorrow hit me again. As much as I wanted to escape, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to. Not after the big impact Yoongi had on me. As much as I hated to admit it…
I fell in love with a demon.
