《Playtime》chapter four

Light filtered in through my bedroom window, and my eyes slowly drifted open. A staccato drumbeat pounded in my temples, and fragments of nightmarish memories swirled in my head. I couldn't comprehend what had happened the previous night, but I did know that whatever had happened wasn't real. I wasn't going to believe that had I let a complete stranger come into my room and kiss me. I pushed my hair out of my face and yawned as I looked around my light filled room. My balcony window was open slightly, and a cool morning breeze slipped through the crack to caress my face. A glance at my alarm clock told me it was 9:00 am. Wait, 9:00?!
"Way to go," I lectured myself. "Overslept." I stood up, but regretted the decision immediately. My legs caved in underneath me, sending me tumbling to the unforgiving wooden floor beneath my feet. I groaned in pain as I peeled myself off the floor, and moved to rub my stiff neck. I touched it, then pulled away as a harsh stinging sensation radiated outward. "If only I could fake being sick," I said to myself as I dragged my weary body in the direction of the bathroom.
While attempting to freshen up, I pondered the events of the night before; more importantly the guy who had kissed me. I could still hear his name clearly ringing in my ears. Min Yoongi. I froze as I heard a yelp, then an ear-splitting crash outside my door. Really, I should have been more worried, but strangely I wasn't; after all, it couldn't get any stranger that being kissed by a demon. I took my chances and slowly opened the door a crack. I gasped as I saw a girl laying in the middle of my bedroom, covered in the curtains. She had dirty blond hair that was pulled back into a french braid, and wore light blue skinny jeans. Her lace shirt seemed to reflect the sunlight streaming in through the now broken window. She gave an embarrassed smile while trying to get untangled from the curtains.

"Sorry," she said, giving up and just sitting there. "Didn't mean to startle you." I forced a nervous smile before helping her get untangled. I gasped as I saw the gorgeous pearl white wings spread out behind her. They had a mix of golden embroidery on them, making them even more beautiful. She was an angel! Once I got her untangled, she sighed and pushed herself off the ground.
"Thank you." she said, smiling. "I'm Angelia Hope." I shook her hand and continued to stare, dumbfounded. She chuckled before walking over to my bed and making herself comfortable. I looked down at myself, and realized that I wasn't exactly presentable for company.
"Nice to meet you," I replied. "But...how did you get inside?" She rolled her luminescent eyes before folding her arms. Her blue eyes, flecked with bright gold, seemed to shimmer in the sunlight and her clear skin didn't even look human.
"The window, how else?" she said, laughing. "Might I suggest shorter curtains? Getting stuck in curtains isn't a very enjoyable experience." I nodded slowly.
"Noted." I opened my closet and scanned the contents of my wardrobe, looking for something cute to wear. After standing there for a few seconds, seconds that seemed like an eternity, I shut the doors with a sigh and turn to Angelia. "I wish I could just skip school today. My neck is killing me and my head is pounding." I rubbed my forehead, trying to soothe the aching pain. She stood up and walked over, examining my neck closely when she reached me, making me feel even more uncomfortable.
Seriously? I thought, covering my neck with my hands. What is with creatures and staring at a person's neck? I turned to look at her when she didn't reply to my comment.

"Did..." she hesitated, not finishing the sentence.
"Did I what?" I asked rummaging through my belongings. She sighed and took a seat on my desk.
"Did you get a visitor last night?" she finally asked, making me stop midway in what I was doing. I slowly turn my unfocused attention to her as she fiddles with her shirt. Her wings fluttered, knocking over my makeup.
"Uh..." I say not exactly sure if it was a good idea I told her. I knew what the counsel would say. They say how disappointed they are that I let a demon kiss me and then go on how I shouldn't have rebelled so they could watch over me. I found it hypocritical. Besides, I could take care of myself...most of the time. I knew being a fallen angel, it was hard to take care of myself seeing how I couldn't do what demons did or what angel were capable of. I was in between.
"Because you have the mark of property." she says. I spin around, making my neck burn with pain. "On your neck. That's the pain you're feeling." I touch my neck and hurry to the mirror. And right there, in the center of the side of my neck was a heart shaped rose. It hurt to touch and made my neck tense.
"What does it mean?" I ask. Angelia hesitated.
"I'll tell you while you get ready." she says sitting on the bed. I shrug and began to rummage through my clothes once more.
"So, tell me." I say picking out a pink floral shoulder shirt with torn jeans. I pair it with my red ruby necklace and gold earrings.
Angelia hadn't replied for a while, worrying me. "Well," she says. "What do you want to know? I have a lot of information I need to share." I turned to her once I had gotten myself together.
"Well..." I began. "Start from the beginning." She nods and begins to explain the whole story, while I was standing listening intently.

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel)
John was an average man. At least that's what he tells himself at night. He lived in a rented apartment in the decent district, a well-paying job, and more student debt than he cared to think about being steadily paid off. Yet he was absolutely miserable. He spent his days living like a zombie, a slave in all but name to corporate. His only joy these days it seems was reading comics and writing fanfics. SI ones. Choke full of power fantasies and large harems. Yeah, even he had to admit he was a loser. His only redeeming feature seemed to be his photographic memory and the library's worth of comics and books he has read. Yet, when fate took pity on him and had John transported into the Marvel Universe, he was only all too happy to oblige. A second chance to make something of himself. Is he going to finally have the comfortable life he wanted? Will he laze away relying on his past life's knowledge or does he want more this time? Will his ambition and hard work lead to sweet fruits, or will it rot away in the darkness hiding beneath the colorful costumes of the hero's society? Now with crossovers! Be warned if you don't like to see OCs messing up the timeline or DC and other stuff showing up. I swear I'm not randomly adding stuff and there is a legitimate (as far as comic books and fanfics can be) plot reason why. (I'll be honest, I don't know "cannon" marvel really... I watched some movies and animated series as a kid, but I haven't picked up a comic in years. This is just some light-hearted and casual writing for fun. If there are any errors or something you think would be cool please let me know.) I'm also trying to have multiple main characters so that might be jarring for some people while I switch perspective. Sorry in advance, I'm new at this and idk what I'm doing, advice and feedback gladly welcomed!
