《In Another World with Doraemon's 4D Pocket》Chapter 3 - The Typical First Encounter with the World's Natives

Cary used the Take-Copter to follow the flying humanoid drone that reported to him. They flew for quite a while, and Cary noticed that they were going in the direction near where the mountains he saw in the far distance when he first tested this bamboo copter was.
"This is easier than I thought to control! No wonder a bunch of kids in the show could use it, " Cary exclaimed. He flew full speed with the gadget, enjoying the cold wind on his face.
The drone started flying downwards near the base of the mountain. While still flying, the drone pointed its finger down towards a commotion. Sounds of battles could be heard. Clashes between steels, the shouting of men rang in the environment.
"Humans!" Cary said. He was excited to finally see his own kind in this new world. For a while, he almost thought he was the only intelligent being in this world.
Looking at their garments, some of Cary's suspicions were confirmed. This was a typical portal fantasy trope where he was transported to a medieval world, although the magical fantasy part had not been confirmed yet. There were two sides: on one side were knights wearing full-plated scale mail armors. And on the other, what looked to be thugs wearing tattered leather clothing with some fur to protect them from the cold. The two sides were equal in numbers, although the knights were gaining the upper hand as they wielded good-quality weapons while some of the thugs only used wooden clubs.
"Which side do I help here? Let's see..."
Cary knew all too well that encountering knights in trouble who were usually protecting someone important behind them, was almost a trope for portal fantasies. It always happens just after the main character was transported into the new world. The main character would spot bandits attacking a carriage. After defeating all the thugs, the person in the carriage would step out to reveal they were a noble, a princess, or some other important people to the world. Yadda yadda yadda the main character gain information about the world, the important person becomes a patron and rewards them, some even joining his troupe, and bla bla bla the story begins. That's what Cary knew about the genre.

"There's no carriage behind the knights...maybe they're hiding behind a tree?" He said. "Well, either way, I'm going to help the knights for now. But let's try something that wouldn't hurt the thugs, just in case."
He pulled something out of the 4D pocket. It was a simple strip of black cloth.
"Black Belt!"
Black Belt Function: Anyone wearing this belt becomes a judo master. Tie the belt around your waist, and anyone or anything touched by you will be instantly thrown off.
"Let's use this." Cary tied the black belt around his waist and flew down.
As he descended, both sides in battle stopped and pointed towards him. They started shouting at an unknown language and showed surprise on their faces.
"I'm here for the rescue!" He said towards the knights who were stupefied at his entrance. He turned towards the thugs. "Please do not resist!"
He stepped forward and stretched his hand towards the nearest thug. Instantly, Cary's entire body moved on its own and performed a masterful judo maneuver where he threw the enemy towards the side. All the thugs shouted something as they found one of their friends getting thrown off and charged forward. The knights also said something and continued attacking the bandits.
One by one, every single thug was thrown by Cary. They did not even get a chance to perform a swing with their clubs, the moment anything, even just a millimeter length, touch Cary they get thrown off.
This belt is more effective than I thought! Cary said in his mind.
Some of the thugs got up again and tried to repeatedly attack him, but none of their efforts came to fruition. Whatever touched Cary even for the shortest moment gets thrown off. After a while, they got the message: touch mysterious man=get thrown. So they stayed down.
After finishing the fight, Cary turned towards the knights. Surprisingly, their faces showed hostility.
"What? I helped you!" He said. They replied in a language Cary had never heard of before. It sounded like Russian mixed with Chinese, just something completely incomprehensible to him.
Two of the knights approached him. From their body language, it looked as if they were trying to apprehend Cary.

"Wait! Let me explain. Don't touch me!" Cary shouted. He tried to pick something from his 4D pocket but it was too late. One of the men slightly brushed his hand on Cary's arm. Instantly, Cary's body moved on its own and threw the man away masterfully. The other knight who approached him was surprised but his face went red. He said something in an obviously unhappy tone and tried to punch Cary. He got thrown off too.
"Hold on! Let me grab something!"
The trained knights were too fast. They all charged forward together instead of coming one by one. Every single one of them got thrown off by Cary. At first, it was an involuntary motion of Cary's body, throwing them off. The black belt he wore took control of his body after all. But after all of the knights get up and attack him repeatedly, Cary's face became annoyed.
"You're not listening to me!"
After a while, he had enough and quickly chose one of the first available combat-ready options on the hologram. He pulled something from the pocket.
"Champion Gloves" Cary said loudly. Even in the middle of combat, he could not resist saying those lines like how Doraemon does it.
Champion Gloves Function: Wear these boxing gloves to hit a person with great power.
Cary took off the black belt and inserted it back to the pocket. He did not want any overlapping effects between the gadgets he had not tested yet. He quickly wore the red boxing gloves. Some of the knights shouted in surprise to see Cary pulled something out of thin air.
"Here I go!"
Cary charged forward and hit the nearest person. He was a former security guard. Mall cops were often underestimated, but the mall Cary worked for was a little more upscale than your typical malls. The management was affluent enough to assign martial arts training for their security candidates. One of the ones Cary excelled in and even continued doing after the training was over was boxing. So he charged forward in a skillful manner and punched the knight.
The result was out of his expectations. The knight that got hit by him shattered his steel armor and hit a tree until it also cracked from the impact. The speed which the knight got pushed back almost created a sonic boom.
Cary's eyes went wide at the impact. "Holy shit!"
All the other knights shouted in shock but they were also furious that one of their own was now injured. They also charged forward together. Cary re-chambered his punch and hit another person who also shared a similar fate to the first person he punched. One by one, they flew backward at an extremely powerful force.
After a while, they all collected themselves, standing on each other's shoulders for support. These proud knights looked beaten up.
"Have you had enough now!?" Cary shouted.
Indeed they had. All of them shouted something Cary did not understand but he imagined it was something along the lines of 'this is not over yet!' and took off quickly.
"Suits you right," Cary did not feel the need to pursue them for now. He had not fully understood the situation and realized he acted too rashly. He had not considered which side was good which side was bad. Or even if there was such a black and white thing in the real world. He turned towards the thugs who were all standing now, watching him and whispering to one another.
"Ummm.." Cary rubbed the back of his head in shame. Realizing they were not attacking him anymore, he took off the gloves and quickly pulled something out of the 4D pocket.
"Translation Gummy!"
Translation Gummy Function: Eating this gummy will make you be able to speak and understand any language. You will appear fluent in that language to native speakers. This includes written language and animals as well. You must eat one gummy for every language you are attempting to learn and you must have read or listened to it before.
Cary quickly downed the gummy inside his mouth.
"I'm sorry for—"
Before he could finish his sentence, one of the 'thugs' cut him off.
"O mysterious traveler, we are extremely grateful you saved us!" He said.
Wait, they're not angry?
Black Belt
Champion Gloves.
