《Beast Games》Beast Games: Episode 21

Richard Littles: We return to Beast Games, and in one week it will be our final Beast Game of the year.
Richard Biggs: We've been on air for over six months now, and we still have plenty to offer. For tonight, Leroy will be confronting Swillow before their confrontation on December 23rd, Winter's Cup, the Paper View. But first, we re-introduce an older group to the pack.
Mosor walked out onto the stage. Everyone stared at the brown wolf-fox, and she said, "So, my entire family around a month ago, got entirely beaten down in some horror match up. Unfortunately, Rinachi, Tuwil, and the loser who was with them, Tiercel, left a survivor. Me."
She paced the ring. "And now I have a broken leg thanks to Harper-Jay. As we've all seen from Citrus Snow, one of those can take six weeks to heal-"
The arena turned black and white as the filter used whenever ghosts entered played. Mosor stared at the opening gate, only to see the velociraptor dragon lizard, Tiercel creep towards the stage.
"Where do you think you're going?" Mosor demanded as Tiercel came closer.
Tiercel paused, and presented a dark brown package to Mosor. She tore it open with her claws.
Boots. Yellow.
"What's the point of this?" Mosor asked.
The arena's lights shut off, before Tiercel was gone again.
Mosor nodded as she stared down. "I don't know if this means something. Maybe it means you're gonna use these boots to kick me down. Or maybe there's something more symbolic than I think. Or maybe I'm overthinking this, and there's nothing. I'm just gonna say, screw you Tiercel." She ripped off her cast and revealed a functional limb. "I'm coming."
Richard Biggs: Mosor playing possum.
Richard Littles: For no reason. It's not like he was gonna attack her!
Richard Biggs: Onto more pressing matters, we have news now that Inari is going to defend her Artesian Championship.
Richard Littles: Can she do it again?

The Articold Zone snow whipped the chateau within which Michelle resided. In the pastel pink and purple structure, Michelle laid upon a well padded bed, and drank some tea from the Cup of Nimd, one of the four major artefactors. With her in the bedroom were three wild dogs, Slash, Coconut, and Marshmallow of the ghosts, but all three lurked underneath her bed, ready to strike.
A polite knock came from the door.
Michelle walked over to the door, and said, "Weird, who knocks in Beast Games?" She opened the door...
"Hello Michelle, it is me. May I come in?" Inari replied, softly.
Michelle told her, "Well actually, that's quite funny you ask that." She leaned forward, flippers on her knees, as she spoke in a grandmotherly voice. "You see, this is a place for ladies, and the problem is is that you haven't been very lady-like the past few weeks."
"I understand our predicament, and I apologize for our lack of coordination. Could we discuss this in depth over tea?" Inari said with her head bowed. Her eyes were closed and humble.
Michelle said, "I suppose, and we can talk about your behavior and your attitude lately."
Michelle smiled, with her eyes turned fiendishly narrow. After preparing some tea, Michelle sat down at a table with Inari, the cups still steaming. "Cake?" Michelle asked, pushing a plate towards her.
"Oh thank you Michelle, it looks so lovely!" Inari replied, but made no effort to take a bite. "I was always told from my special someone, that you should always have your cake and eat it as well!" Inari then suddenly laughed. "Of course he always said such foolish things." Inari did her best to scan the room without making it obvious. She could sense the presence of those Clowns from the Ghost clan, but she continued to pretend that nothing was wrong. "I did bring something for you. What do you think of this key?" she then revealed the key of Locus.

Michelle said, "Oh, but darling, that's a lie, isn't it? You didn't bring that key for me, you stole it from Athyn." She laughed. "Now Inari, lying is not becoming of a lady."
Inari giggled while sticking out her tongue. "You got me! I did take it... we all do what we must. We were not allies with those Order of Light blowhards right?" She slightly turned to the bed in the room. "Are we allied with others?"
Michelle said, "WE are not..." She took a sip of her tea. "Inari, you are a leader yourself, yes amongst others?"
"As you know Michelle, I am from another world. Yes, I am a leader of sorts." She took back the key and hid it away. "But I came to join your faction in hopes we could have aided each other. Is there no way we could make amends? Are we not both fighting against Swillow?"
Michelle said, "It's really me against Swillow. You could never really be a Beast King, because a king has intelligence, grace, and a lot of wisdom. And you don't have any of that." Michelle twisted her head around, clasped her flippers together, and in a sugary sweet voice said, "It's not anything against you honey, just that you're a stooge."
Inari did not take that lightly. "Oh, I am so sorry you feel that way. I wish I could have been of more use to you. I am sure you have many other members you can rely on in your ice palace." Her voice was soft, but heavy. "If there is nothing else to discuss, I would like to formally resign from the faction, and trouble you no further."
"Very well," Michelle said and waved her away, but grimaced. "On second thought, I'll be needing your artefactor. I am the one who advocated you joined that belt tournament."
"Oh, I see... would you like to fight for it then? Risking my belt for your Artefactor?" Inari gave an intense stare and Michelle stared back, before dropping thirteen roses.
Michelle grabbed a rose by its thorns, blood leaking down from her flipper. "Pluck the thorns."
As Michelle conjured up magic to lift up six roses and remove the thorns, Inari used her tail to pluck the thorns.
Inari grabbed the last rose, she couldn't help but giggle a little.
Michelle said, "Very well."
Inari removed the remaining thorns, leaving nothing but barren petals. Inari swiped them up and had a wicked grin on her face. "I commend you Michelle, you didn't even try to cheat. Very, very lady-like. It's sweet really. But alas, Inari WINS~"
Michelle grunted, and gave Inari the cup. "This is the Cup of Nimd, take care of it. For it makes any water that goes into it the flavor of your favorite tea."
Inari's face then suddenly became disappointed. "You... are serious, aren't you? I... kind of feel bad taking this from you." She accepted her prize all the same while holding a rose in her mouth. "I know I am just a stooge to you, but you are still welcomed in Artesian. A new faction is going to be made. And we are going to set our own plans in motion. Any GHOST members better watch out, we are coming for you next~" She shook her butt towards the bed before prancing out the door.

Richard Biggs: So, it's time to talk about our biggest man, Rexcelsis.
Richard Littles: Yes, he's just as strong as Berand, maybe even stronger.
Richard Biggs: What the hell is going on when you have to question is a bear is stronger than a tyrannosaurus rex?
Richard Littles: Berand was the former Darkest Champion but lost the belt. However, he's still moving on with momentum. Anyway, here's Rexcelsis.
"5
4
3
2
1!
Ask not for whom the bell tolls
It tolls for you!
And rather I'd be slain..."
Already in the ring, to be sacrificed, was the green dragon Jade. She breathed deeply in through her nostrils.
The bell rang, and Rexcelsis kicked her in the jaw, knocking her through the ropes. She flipped over, and landed on her shoulders.
Richard Biggs: Remember, count outs do not apply in Rexcelsis' matches since he can't reasonably fit in the ring.
Rexcelsis jumped forward, and leg dropped onto Jade, smashing earth under her. He stood up, before jumping forward in a frog splash.
As the audience felt the wind pushing them back, they cheered.
Richard Short: One, two, three!
Richard Biggs: Another very short match from the big man.
Richard Littles: I think we have less than five minutes of footage on Rexcelsis.
Rexcelsis jumped up, and landed his other leg atop the dragon, crushing her further, before he stood up again.
Vicyl ran over to Rexcelsis, halberd in hand.
Richard Biggs: Vicyl to the rescue for her teammate!
Vicyl swung her halberd around, slashing Rexcelsis' heel several times, but he kicked back. Vicyl fell backwards.
Struggling to get to a vertical base, Vicyl prepared a fireball to stop the beast, only for someone else to run down in one blitz of flames and ashes. Cyras paused before Rexcelsis, and stuck her tongue out at him.
He raised an eyeridge. He tried to stomp her, but she breezed past him. "Too slow."
He swung his tail and tried squashing her, but she kept dodging. She sang, "
You cannot
stand a chance
I'm beating you later
At the Paper View
Pop goes the dino!"
And to emphasize, she summoned her nine tails, before smashing them into Rexcelsis. The explosion knocked the dinosaur backwards, onto his fat posterior.
He roared, before Cyras ran offstage, while Vicyl carried away Jade.
Richard Biggs: One more challenge tonight for the Paperview.
Richard Littles: I think her singing was a bit strained, she needs to work on that.
Richard Biggs: I don't think foxes can sing. Anyway, onto... Huh, news about Arson?
A light symbol was glowing from the back of Arson's neck. The number of the fool.
Reich laid on the ground, before Arson fit his head between his legs, and hopped forward. During that, he'd flip, and crush Reich's head against the ground, then released an energy pulse, to increase the damage.
Medical staff rushed forward to evaluate damage to the fox, while other officials told Arson the bobcat, "Get out of here Arson!"
Arson shouted, "I'm the greatest, and none of you forget that! I'm the greatest!"
Richard Biggs: Talk about a superiority complex.
Richard Littles: We have some announcements for next week. Apparently to determine who faces Inari next for the Artesian Belt, we will have a triple threat match tomorrow. One contendor was going to be Reich, but it seems Arson has knocked him out. That leaves it between Arson, some unknown entrant, and Harper-Jay. Losers will be part of the ladder match.
Richard Biggs: Yes, we will be having a ladder match at Christmas and winner gets a briefcase to become Artesian Champion later on next year, but first they have to beat others to the briefcase hanging. Afterwards, they can cash in.
Richard Littles: We'll announce the full card as is at the end of the show, but for now, Leroy versus Swillow.
A dinosaur in a little video game controller inspired vehicle rode out onto the stage. Instead of their usual theme, an 8-bit instrumental version played.
They parked, and got up. "I'm here."
Leroy put their hands on the edge, before climbing up into the ring. "Swillow, you've taken it for granted that you're going to beat me-"
"A B, A B, get screwed over!" Swillow shouted at the crow's nest. "Option A, I beat you up. Option B, I suck your soul out. And you're going to need more than the Konami Code to get even a win."
Leroy opened their mouth-
"Stop running your jaw!" Swillow said. "Everyone here knows that in a match up, if you fought me, I'd beat you. And I'd beat you again. And I'd beat you again. I'd beat you up ten times in a row if I had to, and you wouldn't get a single win. You're not going to win, and I'm not going to fret about you. You just lucked into an opportunity."
Leroy said, "I get many words associated with me Swillow." They nodded. "Luck is one of them. Everybody considers me lucky. They say my luck runs out every time something bad happens to me. But what if there's something more than luck, and that's why I'm the closest to ever having pinned you? What if I was able to pin you?"
"What if?" Swillow asked.
"What if we did an Iron Man Match?" Leroy asked.
Swillow flattened an ear, while the crowd murmured.
"For thirty minutes," Leroy said, "You and I will fight. And the one to get the most pinfalls wins."
Swillow said, "Wow, so instead of beating you just ten times, I can beat you a hundred times. No, more. Maybe even a thousand times if I feel like it, because I have a lot of aggression to get out."
Leroy said, "You always pick on those smaller than you, those weaker than you, but here's the problem. There's one other word associated with me that will never be associated with you." Tapping their skull, they said, "Smart."
Swillow growled, as Leroy walked out of the building.
Richard Biggs: Leroy with some harsh words for Swillow.
Richard Littles: Here's our schedule next week. Please tune in next week.
