He lied on his back, the pillow and the mattress under him didn't feel cheap. The place was cold, but the crystal had some warmth into them, like heaters to this cramped chamber.

He stared at the ceiling, his pupils following the dust particles carried by air. He daydreamed about himself but never wished to know who he was. It wasn't bad. He was light, free, and not particularly sad… not bad, not bad.

But he wanted to know at least where he was? He just found it rude to just go out from this place without telling its people. So, he waited.

And time passed. Multiple thoughts cracked in his head. He stretched his palm up. The smoke continued floating out.

The smoke followed his will.

Triangle

And the smoke materialized into a fine pointy triangle.

Rectangle

And the same happened.

It didn't require calling it in his mind but picturing it. A Rectangle was something basic. He pictured a knife, with its finest details, a spine that wasn't as sharp as the edge, a handle along with a butt. Whatever he could imagine could come to life. But in a black form.

He smiled at his smoke, maybe he was strong. Making blades and knives would be of great benefit in a battle. And those kids were surprised at him, maybe he was someone really strong.

Suddenly the door squeaked and his smoke dissipated.

He gently straightened himself and looked at the boy called Roar. The boy wore a nervous smile, approached with heavy steps, and slowly sat on the ground before him.

And as if he was a predating animal the boy was afraid to open his mouth, stuttering to say a greeting, but eventually, he voiced it: "h-h-hello."

"Hello," he answered instantly.

"I'm Roar. I'm really happy to see you alive. I thought you would never wake up."

The youth blinked twice… to begin with, he didn't know how had he ended here- actually he didn't know anything.

"Would you mind telling me how I ended up here?" he asked, choosing light and polite words not to scare the boy again.

The boy slowly shone with a genuine smile. His eye widened as he said: "We heard a strong splashing sound and went running. When we found you, you were already shattered and torn. Some of your limbs weren't attached and the remaining parts were squeezed like a wet towel and..."

The boy continued on, and the youth a little bit understood what had happened to him. He fell from above. The boy told him that this place was called Deep Hell, the deepest place in the world. And he had fallen from above.

"is it normal that my limbs are all attached?" the youth asked. yea, when he fell, many parts of him were torn.

"My father said its normal. This place is full of mana, enough to make anyone restore their limbs," the boy gave enough of an answer and the youth tried to ponder how strange this place was. curiosity urged him to go out, but the boy hadn't finished his talk yet.

"How is the upper world?" the boy yelped, his ocean blue eye shining with excitement. "I heard there is light up. And it’s not cold all year long."

Roar continued asking about the upper world and the youth slowly widened his eyes. Apparently, in this place, there was no sun, no heat, no snow, not anything. In this Deep Hell were just water and shores and steeps that extended to where a human could never see, or reach. The water was dense enough to stand and walk on… but to where?

"Who lives here?" the youth asked, slowly leaning against the wall, ignoring the smoke that floated above him.

"My clan!" the boy yelped. "My clan can summon, can see spirits, and can use water and fire as they want; they are great."

"Are they here?"

But for this question, the boy rested on his place, looked down, and quietly answered: "I don't know. My parents always go there and only come twice a week. We are prohibited from going there."

The youth only stared, his observant eyes knew that Roar was a curious child. Roar wanted to know where he had lived, and how the upper world was, because he knew nothing else. Roar spent the time in this place, with only his sister… the youth knew that the child before him was lonely.

"Want to fly?" the youth asked.

"What?" Roar raised his head.

"Want to fly? I can make you float, here." the youth pointed at the space in the chamber.

"Really!"

"Yea."

"I want!"

The youth pointed his index at the ground under Roar and his smoke followed the picture in his mind. The smoke accumulated under Roar, making a rectangle that connected to the index with a thin line and slowly the Rectangle floated.

"W-w-w woaa!"

The boy opened his mouth wide, stuttered with whatever he wanted to say, chuckled at whatever logic he had, and grasped the edges of the rectangle to control the excited fear that overwhelmed him.

And after a minute of playing with the child, the youth gently alighted the Rectangle and the smoke dissipated. Roar wiped the sweat off his forehead and the youth stiffened… And Roar noticed…

Both of them froze. Because the second Roar moved his hair to the side the youth saw Roar's other eye, which was blue.

It was blue. And Roar was scared of showing it. Both of them stiffened, one leaning on the wall, the other just looking down at the ground. And both of them didn't know what to say.

The youth had never known such a thing as two eyes with different colors.

But he understood enough that the boy didn't want such a topic to be stretched. The youth gently smiled and said: "I want to go out. Is it okay?"

The boy raised his head, "yeah sure."
