《Deity of carnage - Unholy Kingdom》Keeper - Ch6

Narrator POV:
In the dark tunnels of the underworld.
"Arrg, where are they even coming from!? Damn pests! Trash! get rid of them!" [Maleck]
"Trash full master, *Burp* mm! yummy!" [Trash]
"Useless! Where is that damn bane, ouch!" [Maleck]
The old man named Malek furiously looks for the spider bane as he is overwhelmed by the small arachnids covering his body.
At the same time, an intense explosion is audible from outside of the study, making the table and shelves shake.
"KEEPER! NO EXPLOSIONS YOU DIMWIT!" [Maleck]
Outside the study stands Keeper facing down several big spiders clumped together in the small corridor which was his "room".
'Don't do this! don't do that! I should just let them invade the study.' [Keeper]
Unfortunately, he was under the influence of a command by his master, 'Defend the door from any intruders.'
[Slayer] was in his hands consuming anything getting to close into a burning crisp.
These spiders were big, but nothing compared to One fang. The giant spider Keeper had fought, named so by it's missing fang which [Slayer] had cut off. They were in comparison just babies. And this must have been the most intelligent conjunction Keeper have done since his awakening.
From time to time the heat from slayer becomes so intense that it spontaneously combust making explosions on impact. Killing a good number of the big spiders, turning them into ash and dust. Unfortunately, it also took a piece of the wall with it every time, leaving more space for the spiders.
*BOOM!*
"KEEPER!" [Maleck]
'Ye, ye I can't do anything about it. Even with a command, it's not my choice!' [Keeper]
Keeper wished to be able to tell his master this if only to rub it in his face. But he was still influenced by the "Silence" command and thus could not retort however much he wanted to.
Ability currently in effect: ABSOLUTE RULE Don't hurt the master! Don't touch masters things! Don't hurt the Goblin! Guard the door! Don't enter unless asked! Don't leave the designated area unless told! Leaving the designated area, allowed every 5h for a maximum of 1h! Pooping may be done a maximum of 2 times a day and be disposed of immediately! Silence!
Keeper swung [Slayer] once more diagonally ripping through three giant-sized baby spiders as they went up in flames.

Hours earlier, Keeper's POV:
*Bam* *shatter*
My trusted partner impacts on Maleck's blue shield shattering it as hot flames licks Malek's face just to go out again. With [Slayer] just inches from Maleck's forehead. He looks at me with eyes filled with shock, I don't even think he has gotten a chance to proses it yet. I quickly raise [Slayer] and try to swing ones more aiming for his neck. But my muscles tense up and yet again my swing stops just inches from his body.
After the second swing Maleck seems to relax, as a deep breath leaves his lungs. He looks at me as I rise my trusted partner a third time. Malek looks at me and I can swear that I see him smirking under his beard.
"Try again." [Maleck]
I did!
"But this time. You're not allowed, to hurt my mana shield either!" [Maleck]
Maleck erects a new shield witch shimmers into existence. Yet again my muscles tense up, as [Slayer] stops from colliding with the shield.
Maleck laughs.
"Seems like you found a scary loophole" [Maleck]
I raise [Slayer] yet again.
"Kneel!" [Maleck]
My knees hit the floor. and I stare up towards Malek. If only stares could kill.
"Give me the sword!" [Maleck]
I resisted with all my strength.
"Give it! NOW!" [Maleck]
[Slayer] left my hands. I could not bring myself to watch.
"Hmm... just a normal sword... what did you do to it?... Speak!" [Maleck]
"Nothing master, Slayer has a mind of its own." I squeaked out.
"A mind of its own?..." [Maleck]
I raise my head to see Maleck study the sword, with squinted eyes. He swings it one time in the air.
"Burn! fire! flame on!... Hmm." [Maleck]
Nothing happened, but then he noticed something.
"Wait, what is this? Hmm" [Maleck]
He carefully studied the handle and then he chuckled, but barely for a second as he examined his find.
"This? What is this? a sigil? mark of the Fey?... No something else, Ancient, perhaps? Then, could this also be the craftsmanship of Dwarves..." He pondered on "...Hmm. To think I had such an uncommon item in my collection." [Malek]
Then something magical happened. Not by Malek's sorcery but instead by the sword. A small flame had started to grow, emerging from the handle and started to engulf Maleck's hand.

"Argh, Damn blacksmith trickery!" [Maleck]
He yelled as he threw the sword on the floor.
'My beloved [Slayer]! I brought you up well.' [Keeper] I thought as I was hiding a satisfied grin.
Which I had to hurriedly rub off my face, as Maleck sighed and looks at me.
"You keep it! But know this! Turn that sword towards your master again and I will throw it down a volcano!" [Malek]
I nod slightly. As I retrieve slayer carefully from the floor. I thought I heard Malek whisper something about a; "...rabid dog on a short leash..." Whatever that meant. But I felt a sting of annoyance. I'm no dog! I'm Keeper!
"Goblin trash! Get that gland now!" [Maleck]
He said in a commanding tone. Trash, which had been sidelined. Literally jumped by surprise into action and hurriedly walked towards the spider carcass. quickly making short work of it. These so-called goblins were pretty nimble with their fingers. As he walked back with the glands towards our master.
"Wait!" [Maleck]
Maleck had suddenly stopped him.
"What is that smell?" [Maleck]
"Smell?" [Trash]
'Burnt spider maybe?' [Keeper]
"That foul smell, like something rotten...! Goblin get inside NOW! Keeper Defend the door from any intruders! Don't let anyone one of them get past you!" [Malek]
That's when I heard chilling screeches further away in the cave tunnels. I would know that disgusting sound from anywhere. Spiders! Giant Spiders!
"Thrash scared, what happening?" [Trash]
"You dimwits! It's cave spider pheromone, you brought them right to my doorstep!" [Maleck]
'Piri what? Come again?' [Keeper]
I turned around towards the sound with [Slayer] at the ready. As Malek and Trash retreated to the Study.
I could hear the skittering of several spider legs unable to discern their numbers as the sound echoed on the cave walls. And then! around the corner of my "room", a swarm of smaller sized cave spiders emerges swarming into the corridor squeezing in side by side or above each other.
'A... amazing!' [Keeper]
I exclaim as a fire within me starts to kindle and [Slayer] as well, as his radiant flames started to illuminate my corridor "room".
The cave spiders hesitate for a moment. Small and brownish, with six deep dark eye's each. They were so tightly packed that they were covering the whole tunnel passage from top to bottom. Making them look like a single beast with millions of eyes.
'Come at me, you fiends!' [Keeper]
Don't you just wish I could have screamed that out right now!?
Instead, I had to glare them down with my fiery red eyes... and then they charged!
Present, Keepers POV:
Exhausted. My body could not hold up anymore as my wounds from my fight with One fang reopened and new ones were added.
The wounds received from the baby spiders where shallow but where quickly and rapidly inflicted. As my "room" had expanded from a single cramped cave corridor.
Now it was instead a short corridor leading to a spacious and a somewhat oval room with charcoal black walls and roof. The result from Slayers flames. Whereas I stood at the end with my back against the now red stained wooden door to Malek's study.
The floor was rugged and immensely uneven from all the stone debris. But that didn't stop the spiders from swarming my location, especially with this much room. There was no end to them.
My tar black armor was now covered with a tint of red, shone forth by slayers flames. I had lost to much blood. The light in my eyes started to flicker as a dizziness took hold of my mind.
At the same time [Slayer] flame started to flicker. And slowly dimming down to a red shimmer around the sword.
I fell down on one knee, with [Slayer] embedded in the ground to hold me up. I felt so heavy. As I tried to raise my head I stared right into six glistering black eyes as the spider expanded it's two fangs outwards revealing the spider's grotesque mouth ready to take a mouth full. I didn't have the strength to defend myself!
'Help... Me!' I thought in vain. As my conscious was slipping away.
As the last of my conscious started to slip my mind, the blurry image of the spider's jaws was exchanged with yellow and red, filling my sight. As a soothing heath took ahold of my body. And then! An all too familiar feeling of nothingness and darkness!

A New Leaf
When people mention fantasy games and RPGs, they usually think of goblins, elves, orcs, dwarves and magic (apart from the percentage that gets an image of an anti-tank weapon in their mind, I will respectfully put those individuals aside for now). But what if you get neither of those (not even the weapon, I know, sad)? And what if you end up playing as something that doesn't look like an animal at all? And what if the said game you were playing weren't actually a game, but real life changed by irresponsible, beyond-mortal beings? Follow the (mis)adventures of "player" 13241, a.k.a. Treant, as he experiences what it's like to be a walking magical fruit maker (among other things). When the world goes to hell and back, plants are the ones that remain, right?
