《From A Delinquent To A God in 10 Minutes》Chapter 31: High School Coup D'etat; Sailing Without Sight

A clash was imminent between the two god candidates, heightened in their emotional states.
But there was a curveball thrown from both sides as they both quickly deviated from their tall leaps, ducking down as they tried to pull off other moves.
"Dirty..."
"You as well!"
Kaharu pulled his leg forth as he attempted a sweeping move, but was blocked by Amatsuyu's arm. He smiled shortly, which raised Kaharu's guard.
From behind, Jiko Sanwa, a student, ran up to Kaharu's behind and pushed his shoulders forth to take a hold of Kaharu. Being in a troublesome situation where he was unable to move properly, the oncoming shadow draping over him spelled trouble.
*Zoooooom*
Using the fingers he could, he shot a bolt of lightning to the sign named "Class 1-4" and managed to make it fall down. Landing on top of the student's head, the attack was disrupted and he fell down to the ground.
"Sorry..."
Kaharu turned around and used his other leg to shot himself closer to Amatsuyu, who threw another punch. Dodging it while going full speed, Kaharu grabbed a hold of Amatsuyu. As Amatsuyu's hands were busy struggling against Kaharu's hold, Kaharu utilized his leg again to throw another electricity-filled kick.
*BWOOOOOOO*
With his head bopping as he unleashed it, Kaharu managed to throw the kick properly and sent Amatsuyu off into the sky again, confused as to what'd happened.
Even Amatsuyu was starting to run out of energy, another hard hit would do too much against him. As he saw Kaharu leap into the air towards him, time seemed to slow down as he looked around. The principal passing by in the hallway made his mind wander, the school he always skipped. Would attending that have changed anything?
When was the point he gave up on trying?
His shine was a lot more mellow as he continued to leap in the air, everything felt so much more grounded. Everything had a more dull and realistic coloring to it, his intensely bright surroundings had changed their setting.
It was only when he passed the face of Chiriko that his tunnel-vision was suddenly lifted dramatically. Everything before him stood so clear as an incredibly heavy feeling weighed on his chest, like it was about to drag him down to the floor.

He may have wanted, and looked up, to the idea of a Viking ship sailing the rough seas to a destination. But his situation was different, the destination he was sailing for never existed in the first place.
He'd been misdirected by influencing winds behind him, partly his own fault as the starting place was picked by him but almost inevitable.
- I'm weak… -
As he continued to soar with a view of everything in front of him, it all seemed so clear. There was no three-piece puzzle on him, there was no controlling emotion. He didn't understand why everything was so clear suddenly. He didn't understand why that disconnect he had before disappeared so quickly.
Maybe as his destiny was sealed right in front of him, and the events in his life unfolded, his head was forced into a state of unintended reflection. It was a fact that the punch Kaharu was preparing in front of him would deal the coup de grace.
He was surprised at the fact that the realization didn't bring him any further anger or grief, as he'd expected it to do. The notion instead brought him something else:
Relief.
Emotionally, it'd been an intense couple of days as he'd gripped with irritation, anger and frustration constantly. His thirst and requirement to be the superior person and the best put constant pressure on his head, as he had to fulfill the responsibilities of being a god. But even though he reached the status he did, he never even dared to look that girl in the face. Six years of suppressed feelings had led him nowhere, his heart would still flutter as he saw her face. His mind would still wander to the thought of her, and a smile would still form without warrant. He couldn't control himself at all when around her.
What was the point of ruling over others when he didn't even have control over himself?
What was the point of becoming a divine being when emotions still controlled his decisions?
What was the point of continuing on, if the road he'd been so desperately moving on started falling apart?

Amatsuyu didn't know, nor would time let him.
As if gratefully accepting something, Amatsuyu closed his eyes for a moment.
Using all momentum he could muster, throwing both his fist and should forth as forcefully as he could, the electricity sparked crisply as he swung his fist.
"I couldn't be a God along my terms, so I won't let you either!"
*BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM*
With the punch connecting directly to Amatsuyu's cheekbone, he was flung down to the ground immediately.
Landing on top of him, Kaharu looked around as he felt a change in the atmosphere. As he looked back, he saw that the students who were attacking Kosuto had dispersed and as a girl who'd walked by looked at the formation Kaharu was in, he saw her eyes looking completely normal. Satisfaction welled up as he looked, but noticed an unwanted person onlooking them.
The principal stared at Kaharu with a raised fist over a half-conscious Amatsuyu with eyes full of contempt.
"Principal..."
"Kaharu… and Amatsuyu.
You're welcome into my office immediately"
Amatsuyu rose up with a confused face.
…
~ Friday, the eighteenth of October, 10:11 ~
"How irresponsible could you be?"
That dark mist started to creep up again from the floor as I sat in a chair, adjacent to Amatsuyu's, with a tilted frown.
The number of times that trouble had washed over me due to reasons that were reasonable, but impossible to explain perplexed me. This time could've turned out to be a big deal, as the offense seemed to have been quite major.
"School is a way to prepare you for the adult world. There's no way this behavior would be tolerated in the real world, don't you understand that, Kaharu? How could you start another fight after last time? I thought I gave you quite some leniency then, did I not?"
My pants were grabbed hard as that frustration grew in me, but alas, there was nothing I could do. Explaining what happened would be impossible, and pinning blame on Amatsuyu could backfire easily. My fate was left to just sit there as the partial, uneducated, principal decided what would happen to me.
I wanted to burn everything at that moment, every shining flower, every file of students, every tome of knowledge arrogantly displayed on his desk.
But as much as I hated to admit it, doing that wouldn't benefit me at all.
The more the thought circled around my head, the more it tempted me. I was about to spring up as Amatsuyu stood up suddenly
"Principal, I was the one who started the fight."
With a sunken face, with the tired details he wore, Amatsuyu said those words in earnest. I had a hard time understanding what was going on, the person I'd just fought against with all of my power was now in a subtle sense defending me. Amatsuyu as a person in my head changed light, in that small action. The principal changed emotions quickly as he hadn't anticipated that, looking over at Kaharu with a surprised look. He cleared his throat and continued
"I see... Well, Amatsuyu, since this is the first time you've been caught doing something like this, your punishment will be lighter"
Amatsuyu's face remained the same throughout the rest of the conversation.
…
"Amatsuyu, you..."
As they exited the room, Kaharu called out to Amatsuyu in confusion. He was met with a light smile as he said
"Let's go to the roof"
They went up the stairs Kaharu was so familiar with, while Kaharu wondered the reason why. There was no point in fighting again, he'd already won over Amatsuyu.
Standing silently, a couple of meters behind, Kaharu stared ahead at the back of Amatsuyu, who said
"Kaharu…
I think we need to talk..."
