《Dark Chronicles》CH 32 Dark Lords

I reach my apartment after saying goodbye to Sylvia and Sending Blaze back to the spirit plane.I open the door and walk in. I see Netherwing sleeping on my bed and two brown cloaks on Luke's bed.
I walk over to my bed and sit down in the lotus position and start to work on my blood mana. One hour later. Luke walks in with Cerberus both carrying some kind of mask.
"What are those for"
"Dramatic flair we want to seem dangerous right"
"Yeah dangerous not like a bunch of street performers"
"Fine don't wear the mask but i will"
"Fine i will wear the mask hand it over"
The mask he handed over was pitch black with holes for the eyes, under the eye holes where lines of gold that looked like tears. It felt like it was made out of some kind of wood.
"Try it on"
I slipped the mask onto my face. It fit surprisingly well i could see out of the eye holes easily, my breathing wasn't affected if i had to i could wear this everywhere.
"It fits really well good job"
"Thanks i thought they would be perfect for tonight"
"Okay now then what information did you get"
"Well from what i heard the older sister of Elizabeth is named Diana and she is last in line to inherit the throne of the goldmage clan because of the fact that she has really little magic her only real power is that she has a lot of connection mostly with men".
"Did you find out if she brought any guards with her"
"From what i heard no, so our only real problem will be the guards the have employed at the Asgard hotel which should not be a problem"
"Okay then let's go over for the play for tonight".
"First we use Cerberus to make a distraction on the street in front of the hotel then me and you sneak into the emergency staircase and make our way up to the top floor where Diana is killing any guards along the way then when we finally reach the top floor we interrogate and threaten her"
"Ok, but there's a few adjustments i would like to make, pass me the cloaks over there"
Luke passes me the cloaks.
'Hey Drake can you give me the runes to make these cloaks blend into the darkness, and so when we move we don't make a sound, and have extra defence'
'Okay just activate the [Dragon mark]'
I activate the [Dragon mark] and start to feel the runes for the enchantments enter me i understand them easier than before, maybe because it was a just a few little runes and not a lot all at once. I place the new enchantments on the cloaks the glow for a few seconds then return to normal.
"What did you do to the cloaks"
"I just put a few enchantments on them now what weapons did you get"
"I got a few simple swords since you said we can't use anything that can be traced back to us"
Luke pulls out two short swords from his bag they have a bronze color and a simple handel.
"Ok pass them over"
He passes them over to me. I ask Drake to do the same thing but this time i asked for the enchantments for speed, strength. The swords glow when i place the enchantments on them.
"Now then i think we should be good just have to wait until night falls then we can make our move"
"Alright but are you going to bring Netherwing"
"No if anyone saw him at the hotel then with me it would be bad so for now he stay here"
"Ok"
I enter a meditation and start to focus on my blood mana i summon two drops of blood and can move them both really easily i summon a third and start on that.
It's been a few hours and the sun has finally starting to set i can now move the three drops of blood with very little effort.
"So should we get going"
"Yes it's time"
We place on our cloaks i feel my body tingle for a few seconds then it passes it must be the enchantments. I take off my sword and leave it near Netherwing and replace it with one of the swords Luke go. We both slip on the masks. We leave through the window and into the night Luke is carrying Cerberus in his arms. I make sure we're not followed.
I'm checking the building with my extra vision i got from the [Dragon Mark] So far there are fifteen people on the top six floors fourteen are armed with various weapons while one is resting on the top floor. I slip back into the alley way where Luke and Cerberus are waiting.
"So how does it look"
"Fourteen armed. One not. It should be rather easily as long as there are no surprises. Are you sure Cerberus won't get caught"
"Positive he creates the distraction we move in and complete are objective"
"Okay it is completly night now time to start"
"Cerberus go"
Cerberus runs into the street between us and the hotel he starts to absorb mana from luke and quickly turns into his powerhouse self.He jumps and smashes around the street trying not to kill anyone. He started thrashing around and destroying all the stores that sit along the street. While me and Luke sneak around the chaos Cerberus has made and into the emergency staircase that lies near the lobby for the hotel.

Once we are in Luke sends Cerberus the messege to run through there link.We continue up the staircase sticking to the walls so far nothing has gotten in our way but we have to be cautious.
We finally reach the top six floors. Guards our now patrolling the staircase at least seven in total. They are all wearing black suits, like the people from the secret service. Each one has a weapon strapped to their side
"How do want to deal with this Kaito"
"Easy i kill them all"
"ALright"
I summon three drops of blood and start spinning them into what i call a blood bullet. I aim at the guards closest to me. I send them straight through the guards heart at incredible speeds killing them instantly. None of the other guards notice have noticed the ones that dropped down dead. I continue the process killing every guard i come across while hiding in the shadows.
We manage to get to the top floor by doing this all that. We come through the emergency doors and quickly dash to the shadows. I have to kill some more guards while making our way to the penthouse room. The entrance is two gold and azure doors with fancy carvings. With two guards standing out the front of it i quickly kill them like the others. I push open the doors and walk in. Diana is sitting on a couch in front of the widows reading a book while enjoying some kind of wine.
"Nice setup you've got here"
She bolts up from her couch and drops her book along with her wine. I finally get a good look at her her face is just a older version of Elizabeth's except her blond her is long and wavy and reaches her waist. Her outfit is a simple silk nighty.
"Who are you and how dare you burst into my room.GUARDS GUARDS THERE ARE INTRUDERS"
"I Wouldn't bother if i was you most of your guards are dead and the ones alive are too far away woo hear you"
"Who are you"
"We are the know by many names in many different lands but you can call us the DARK LORDS"
"And what do the dark lord's want"
"Simple you to suffer"
I shot a drop of blood through her leg it went straight through and left a hole you could see through. But she didn't scream she gritted her teeth and fell over.
"You think i will beg for my life from that little scratch"
"The sweat on your forehead says different"
Luke walks past me i start to feel an aura of rage and bloodlust come from him. What's gotten into him all of a sudden.
He walks up and grabs Diana by her hair and drags her to one of the massive windows that line the penthouse.
"Break this"
He points at the windows. I shoot a drop of blood through it and the window shatters. Luke hoists her out the window and dangles her over the edge of the building by her hair. I walk closer and see Diana really scared now.Wow who knew that Luke had this kind of side to him.
"NOW talk"
"What what do you want me to talk about"
"The assassination on the boy named Kaito why did you do it"
"That's what this is about just because i put a hit out on that kid"
Luke grabs the sword from his waist and cut off some of Diana's hair she slips and almost falls Luke adjusts his creep. She starts to cry.
"DID I ASK YOUR OPINION NO so just answer the questions i ask or i will let gravity do it's job"
This time she doesn't talk she just nods out of fear.
"Now why did you put a hit out on Kaito"
"Because my little sister told me too"
"And why did she want him dead"
"Because he disrespected her. Since our family has been on the decline we had to take drastic measure that included killing anyone you disrespected us"
"Okay then from this day onward any more attempts on Kaito will be treated as a attack on the Dark lords. And if you think we won't find out or won't come after you then you're dead wrong.
He let her slip on purpose even more.He leaned in close to her maybe for effect or some other reason.
"DO you understand what we Dark lords are capable of"
"Yes Yes i understand great Dark lord"
"Good"
He brought her back into the penthouse and let her go near the couch.
"Now then you will tell no one of what happened here tonight if you do your death will only happen after you finish watching all of your family and friends die by our hands"
"What about the dead guards"
"Make up some story. I really don't care"
And with that we left the penthouse. We quickly blend back into the darkness and enter the emergency staircase then we left the hotel without being seen by anyone.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.

Reborn A Paladin: The Dagger Of Shadows
Mirio awakes in a strange place, surrounded by shadows, and an overwhelming hesitation about opening his eyes. A voice speaks to him in the darkness and it awakens a hidden power within him, launching him onto the path of becoming a Paladin, and towards something more. It is a semi-realistic take on being reborn and how that might feel like. It is meant to be immersive and to help you feel what it really might mean to be reborn with powers you really don't understand. The character is somewhat of a power fantasy but not outrageously so. And it is not a harem manga, but you will see some very cool things with waifu's at some point, but it must be earned!I present to you, this story for you enjoyment. Please help me make it all it can be and more. For a full size image of the cover click here
