《Dark Chronicles》Ch 3 More Training

The next few hours of my life was a blur of pain and exercise.
After a little break from the running, I went straight into weight training which was me lifting big blocks of metal over my head and doing squats.
I had to do that until I fainted.
Master woke me up with a bucket of cold water then we went into martial arts training.
He made me change into some new loose clothing that were a black T-shirt and white loose pants. I stored my other clothes in a spare room near the training court.
He told me these would be my new martial arts training uniform now. First, it was simple punches kicks a few blocks here there then we got into throwing techniques as well as more hand to hand combat.
He told me the style he was teaching me was called [Midnight Wolf], it was designed to fight opponents with weapons when I was unarmed.
He also told me it was the first of three techniques he was going to teach me after that was lunch which was sandwiches that had black bread with crunchy nuggets baked inside then inside the bread was the same purple meat I ate before.
This too was really delicious! I hope master teaches me to cook but that's for another time. For now, it's time for basic knowledge for this world.
We made our way to a massive room where there were rows after rows of seats when this place was still being used by the original owners.
This place was probably filled with students taking notes and learning but now it would only have me and my teacher.
I took my place at the front of the class. Back on my old world, I always sat in the back, being used as a seat most of the time but not anymore... Never again will that happen...
Master took his place near a chalkboard and began to draw. After he was done, he showed me his drawing.
It was a planet with three continents a massive one that took up most of the space then north to that was the smallest then from the biggest continent was the second largest which was placed west this made up all the known continents on this world if I had to guess.
"Now then Kaito, as you have probably already figured out these are the continents that make up or world known as [Gaia] but what you don't know is the names if the continents or the races that live and that's what we will be going over today.

Now then let's start with the one we currently live on the biggest continent in the world it is called [Krankaz] it is home to two races the human race and the demon race that split the continent in two the demon's own the north while we human occupy the south.
The human race is ruled by 5 different kings and 1 high king and the demon race is ruled by what they call the demon lord but know one has ever seen this supposed demon lord.
Next, is the second largest continent this one is called [Antamic] and it is solely ruled by the [Gold Falcon Empire] who had been controlled by their royal family since it's creation.
Unlike this continent, it has only humans on it but right now there are some problems going on inside their military but that's for another time.
And lastly, the smallest continent is called the [Engolas] and it is the complete opposite of the last continent we talked about.
There are no human governments there, the only races in power are elves and demi-humans.
They rule each one-half of the continent, the elves control the forests and the demi-humans who control mostly deserts and the other parts of the country.
You got all that?"
"Yes, I have it all memorized."
"Good... Now that we have that done, we are going to go over the alphabet and currency."
The next couple of hours of were mostly boring but I absorbed most of it.
The alphabet was a bit complicated but since the language was the same the alphabet wouldn't take me too long to understand.
The only part I really paid attention was when master started talking about the currency.
It was all in coins the exchange rate went like:
10 copper=1 silver
50 silver=1 gold
1000 gold=1 platinum
Apparently, copper was the lowest and was usually used by the poor or low class while silver was used for people who lived normally just above the lower class then the gold was commonly used by nobles and then platinum was only used by the king and other people of equal standing.
It continued late into the night until we finally had dinner. It was mostly vegetables with some meat here and there.
After that, I am back into the gear I got from master Bishop’s former disciple then I was given a thin blanket and a pillow and told to sleep out in the courtyard.

I didn't really mind the cold so much as the stone hard floor but I could live with this. Especially with the view…
it was beautiful, the night sky was alive with thousands of stars of stars then it dawned on me: I was probably in a completely different galaxy now or maybe in a whole different universe as well... At least the night sky looks amazing even if the floor sucks.
The next few months were a really painful experience.
I started every day the same running with rocks on my back and at the start of each new week, the weight would get increased as did the weight training afterward.
Breakfast is usually some form of orange porridge then it was martial arts training.
At the end of the four months, I had completed the first style [Midnight Wolf].
I wasn't a master but I knew every move of the style now all that was left was to practice and I would master it in time.
Master said I still need some time before I could learn the second style.
After that was lunch, it was always different but still delicious then it was onto social classes at first I learned about the continent called [Krankaz].
I learned about each individual country the leader and all the important people: the publicly known ones and the not so famous ones.
This process was repeated until I knew every important person in the world but also the laws of the countries and their history then dinner followed by sleep.
After all those months of the same thing, I got used to the cold hard floor.
And yeah, so that's how my first four months in this new world went.
3rd person Perspective
A massive army of a few hundred thousand was marching across a dark blood-stained field.
All the soldiers wore black armor and carried different weapons, most swords others axes and some even carried magical staves.
The army continued their path until they reached a mountain so high it split the clouds in half and on top of that mountain, sat four beings each one only giving out two things: the aura of power and death.
They just looked at the army below them like they were nothing but a pathetic bunch of ants.
The army’s leader showed himself. He had spikes covering parts of his armor and his helmet was terrifying in the eye holes blue flames burst through.
On his waist, he carried a long pitch black sword that was covered in red jewels from handle to tip and the hilt was made out of bone in the shape of a dragon. He drew his sword and pointed it at the 4 on the mountain.
"Fire all magic!!! Quick!!!!"
On his command, all the mages activated their spells. All forms of magic headed straight for the four.
"Heh! So they think this much magic can hurt us? Maybe I should show them what real magic looks like..."
One of the members of the four opened his palm towards the attack and when it struck, it all got absorbed by him then suddenly his body turned into the color of a rainbow then he opened his opposite palm and a beam of massive gold light came out it hit the army in a few seconds.
In a flash, it destroys half of it. The leader of the army was left stunned but it did not last long... Soon he was angry, very angry that half his army got destroyed so quickly.
"You cowards! If you are so powerful then come down here and prove it!!!"
"Ooo... Look! he thinks he's the big man. So what do you say Wraith, feel like killing some insects?"
"It would be my pleasure to teach these bugs their place."
Suddenly a huge creature shaped with massive horns and a huge muscled body made out of metal leapt off the mountain and landed on the field creating a massive crater, killing a few hundreds.
Then he went to work and in the span of just an hour, the entire army was wiped out with only the leader left but now he only had 1 arm left and no legs he was slowly dying.
"You know scum should learn it's place or it will get wiped out..."
"You damn fool... The god slayer... Will rise... And kill... All of you!!!"
"Ha... I'm looking forward to it. then maybe I will have a good fight!"
And with that, the leader of the army dies and the gorilla man returned to his mountain.

The Silver Mana - Book 1: Initiate
I used to be a healthy, young guy with a normal life - I had a career planned in professional soccer, a girlfriend, lots of hobbies, and loads of fun. Until the accident. Which changed my life. A few years later I had adjusted to my new reality, adjusted to being in a wheelchair, adjusted to having someone take care of me 24/7. And then the world changed. Old people and kids did not make it. And neither was I supposed to make it. But never count me out. If anything, I am tenacious. This new world was different. People could do magic. And there were monsters. And what about me? I had mana as well, silver mana. Which no one else seemed to have. The only problem was, I did not know what to do with it. Until I really needed to. Author's note: This is the rewrite of Silver Mana. The first bunch of chapters (until I will have caught up to level 2 of the dungeon) should be quite familiar to people that have read the original. There are some changes in content, but the story follows the original fairly closely for at least the first 150-200 pages. Most of the changes are in the writing, and some of the details of how things work. A few of the side characters get a bit more attention too. Some general comments to avoid disappointment: 1. The MC likes to swear. If you object to reading the word "fuck" at least once and usually multiple times each chapter don't read the book. "Fuck" is such a great, allencompassing word... fuck that; what the fuck?; fuck me! Fuck! one word, expressing so many nuances. And, frankly, the people I know that use fuck as a swear word.. they often use it a lot. 2. If you are looking for immediate progression, rapid advancement of the story, etc.... read another book. This one takes a bit. 3. I am NOT Pirateaba (who is writing The Wandering Inn) or anyone close to that level of productivity. If you expect to read 10k words every 3 days, or even just once a week... sorry. I've got a busy life. This is for fun, I have no patreon, paypal, anything, so I write when it is fun and however much is fun. Not more. And sometimes that turns out to be a decent amount, sometimes nothing. I have another book (Marrow) so that complicated things - basically I switch between the two whenever the muse strikes me.

Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.
