Chapter 42 · My own little hell

"Oh, this one too," I heard Zoe's voice through the door as a pile of clothes flew over it. I let out a tiny sigh.

I had given up hoping that this hell would end. I turned to the little mirror at the side of the dressing room that Zoe had dragged me in what felt like hours ago.

I looked at the new skirt and shirt I was wearing. Pink. With little black dots. Picking the new set of clothes that Zoe has thrown in on the chair next to me I then processed to open the change room door.

I opened it just a bit, just enuff to poke my head out. Which I did.

I looked out at the little clothes shop. Racks of shirts, shorts and shoes were neatly layout. It was a small but nice little shop that had been hidden in one of the corners of this weird ass place of never-ending corridors. Luckily it seemed to have no one else around.

In fact, the whole place felt empty. It was like everyone had just disappeared. I think I had seen maybe one person on the way here, which as luck would have it was only a few minutes walk away, and that person had looked a tad lost. Anyway to the matter at hand, trying to find a way out of this hell.

I turn my head until I found her. Wading through a small stack of neatly folded shirts like a woman possessed. She wasn't facing towards me as I called out.

"Um, Zoe," I called weakly

"YES," Zoe quickly called back turning to me with a large smile that could blind even the sun itself.

"Didn't the auction thing start?" I asked trying to sound angry but somehow I don't think it worked. Zoe's face quickly turned to a pouting frown.

"I guess we can go if you want," she said putting the items in her hand down on a table.

"Well, um, I, um. I'm sorry," I replied. I mean I was here for Zoe and now I was here making her upset. She had gone out of her way to take me here and hadn't even asked for me to pay for anything like the taxi here.

"No, no we should go. I mean we've only missed the boring wine drinking thing but Void will probably get annoyed if I miss the main thing since he booked the tickets and all," she explained as she started walking closer to the dressing room door.

"Ok, sorry I didn't mean to make you late," I replied. Not only had I made her sad but now late as well. What if Void... "wait that guy is here?"

"Well, he kind of has to be as he says "to show others that we give a dam," or something. I don't really want to be here they never sell any of the cool stuff but I'm not paying so its fine," she explained as she starts to pick up all the dam clothes I had tried on.

"But we do have like ten or so mins so..." Zoe said looking back at me with that mad smile and opening the door we show me in the stupid pink clothes "I think we have time for maybe one more look. This was the one I was telling you about early that I saw."

Inside I felt a little bit of me sign but I only nodded my head taking the set of clothes from her. I just couldn't say no not when she was so happy with dressing me up.

"Also I don't think pink is your colour," I heard through the door. At least we agreed on that much
