《Aether: The World Inside a Dream》2.4 - The Fairy

In the tavern of the same day.
“Someone looking for me?”
“Yes! She clearly mentioned a person named Kazuki, with the same characteristics as you! She's sitting right over there~” Aneesa points to a table. “Ah~! Love at this age is so warm! As expected from alpha Kazuki! Do you happen to hide some magic trick that makes the rooster turn into a chick and vice versa??” Aneesa rests her head with both hands on the counter, seeing her curiosity.
Rooster become a chick? What the hell is this woman talking about??
“Grrr! I'm not liking this story!”
What?? Loveta understood what she meant?!
"Isn't that table empty?" Ask Murakami.
“Ah, of course not!”
Hm? For a moment I thought Aneesa had drunk more than usual and was delirious, but as soon as I got closer, I understood everything! The girl who was looking for me was actually a fairy! She was sitting on the table, shaking her head in entertainment, but as soon as she sees me, she quickly flies toward me.
The fairy wore a white dress and had orange hair and eyes. She was definitely cute.
Loveta didn't look pleased, while Murakami looked surprised—Actually, Murakami looked as delighted as I was.
“So, what do you want with my Master? Spit it out! GR...”
“Hey, calm down Loveta”
The fairy shakes her head from side to side.
What? She can’t speak?
As I think about it, she starts waving her twig-shaped wand and golden lines begin to appear through the air—She was writing a sentence.
“At least I met you, Kazuki!”
“Met… me?” I scratch my head in doubt but she continues.
“My name is Lily. I was created as a fairy as you can see. You may not know me, but you sure do know about my master Taichi, he's a good friend of yours after all!”
"T-Taichi??! Taichi is your master?!”
"Yep! And he sent me here to help and to protect you!”
Lily resumed her flight towards me, happy, but is soon stopped by two long arms.
“Gya! Not so fast!”
Murakami also glares at Lily. "Did your master send you to Ryouzen? How did he do it??”
Lily calmly stops and writes. “Through dreams. Every time he sleeps, I visit him in his dreams, on Earth, and we talk to each other. He always tells me about his adventures of the day and asks me for advice on how to win his lover, Hana. But now, as he managed to accomplish his life's goal, he asked me to come to Kazuki to help him with whatever he needed.”

Oh, this is actually something Taichi would do if he dreamed of a fairy. Of course, I highly doubt he knows about the existence of the Aether, and that Lily does exist, but since it would all be a simple dream for him, that would certainly be possible.
Knowing all these things, there's no doubt that she is indeed Taichi's creation, but it's still weird... I thought the only way a human could communicate with a dreamian was to come to the Aether… Murakami also seems to be unaware of anything about it.
Noting our expressions of doubt, Loveta decides to give us some explanations. "Gi, I think it was left for me..." She murmurs, a little annoyed. “What that fairy said is indeed true. Communication by dreams does exist, but it is very rare... Basically, a soul-linked can communicate with its master through a process of meditation. If the soul-linked thinks of his master, and his master dreams back in that soul-linked at the same time, that soul-linked manages to materialize itself in his master's dream. That's it.”
"That's right! And the name given to the moment our masters dream of us and open this possibility is called trigger!” Writes the fairy.
So, if I understood what they said correctly, this is almost the same thing Murakami and I already do to come here. The difference is that they have to do this trigger and meditation thing, and the destination they take is the minds of their creators... Interesting.
Loveta stares at me sadly. "Gyuu... I've tried to do this several times with you Master, but you never dreamed me back! I've missed the number of times I went to bed, waiting for you to trigger, but it never happened!” Her teary eyes said everything about her emotional state.
“I had no idea... I'm so sorry Loveta!”
I stroke her head and her anguish soon turn to happiness.
Good thing she's getting better.
She comes closer to my ear. “Hey, did you set the alarm to go off later today, just like I asked you~?”
I positively confirm to her question.
Hehe… Spend all night playing video games with Loveta? This will be awesome!
She asked me this yesterday, and as this is a different week from the usual due to the school excursion, there was no reason for me not to put off the clock and spend more time sleeping. Plus, Loveta actually looked kind of angry and sad after the date we'd had in the park. This is going to be a great opportunity to get everything on track. I need to make her happy no matter what! Hm?

I look to the side and see Murakami staring at me, but she soon blushes looking away.
Phew, it seems there is only one left to recover now.
“Ahem, there's still something very strange about all of this. How did you know that Ryouzen would be here today?
“I looked for him!”
“Huh? Even knowing that at first he would be on Earth, not on Aether?
“My master said that Kazuki is a man of many mysteries, so I thought one of them would be that, in fact, Kazuki would be a dreamian chosen by the gods to rule the Earth in such a way that he would unify the two worlds—”
“.........”
“—And of course I would find Murakami next to him on Aether, as the two would have kissed under the hood. My guess is that Governor Kazuki passed some of his godly powers to her through his saliva, causing her to also transform into a supreme dreamian like him and—”
Why am I still reading this?
I interrupt Lily. “Okay, I got it...”
Sigh. She is definitely Taichi's creation. The two have the same fertile imagination after all.
Looking to the side, I see Murakami muttering things I couldn't hear. Her face was completely red.
Wait, is she like this because she didn't like what Lily said about us? Ah, shit, I really can't understand her! Help me Phanta, what's the reason for this?! What do I have to do to help her?!
[Dear player, this is something you need to figure out by yourself.]
...Again this?
“Gya!! And I? And I? Did I also marry my Master?!”
I can’t believe Loveta is still paying attention to what this fairy is writing...
"Sorry, I do not know who you are."
Yes, this was exactly what she wrote, which ended up putting Loveta in a state of mourning.
“Hey, Loveta, there would be no way for Lily to talk about you, since Taichi doesn't know you either” I try to cool her, but it doesn't help.
We continued talking to Lily after that.
"So you mean you can heal us?" Murakami asks, a little more anxiously.
"Yes! And besides, I can strengthen the defense of all of you! Of course, as this requires a lot of energy on my part, there will be a limit to the spells I can cast.”
"That's good enough, Lily!" I say, in excitement.
Having an ally like her in the next fights will certainly be of great help! A healer was just what our group needed! Of course, there is also Baku who is extremely strong, but since his summon only works on Earth, it would be impossible to have him on our team. He also already has his commitments as the great eater of dreams after all.
…By the way, speaking of him, I'm glad I met Baku that they on the palace. If it wasn’t for that, neither I nor Murakami would be alive here today. Was it really a coincidence that a Taichi-like person took us to him? Did that fake know something was going to happen to us? Who was he after all?
Phew, the only thing I know is that the more I think about it, the more headache I get... We're alive here today, and that's all that matters. I will continue evolving on Aether as I intend to help Murakami with the moonstrucks. Besides, I also have some answers to find with that Balzebear guy. Anyway, one thing is for sure, with Lily on our team, we are one step closer to our ambitions.

On one particular Sunday, though, Mabel couldn't help but watch the man leaving Herman's office with a critical eye. He reached a hand down to help her up, but Mabel swatted it away, standing on her own and scowling. "Don't call me 'Little One,' Death." She fired back, crossing her arms and straightening her back to look taller. "And, besides, you're the one who told me your name was Death, so what else am I supposed to call you?" The raspy growl that rolled from his throat didn't sound anything like a chuckle, but the slight smile on his face told her otherwise. From Ninja to Pirate
Life can be difficult, hard and painful. Who am I kidding? Most of you probably have already experienced first-hand, all the difficulties, hardships and pains in life that I talk of, so rather than listen to me teach the lessons on how you should stay strong and look forward to the good things, I think you'd much rather prefer me to just get on with my story, and that's exactly what I'll do.My name was Uzumaki Naruto. I was a genin of the hidden village of the leaves, and the team-mate of Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. My parents were the Fourth Hokage and the Jinchuuriki of the nine-tailed fox before me, and I was what people called, a failure. But now, the story has reversed. No more failure. No more Naruto. No more ninja.I am Akagami D. Natsuki, a girl who challenges the world, in the era of pirates! All credits go to Oda Eiichiro and Kishimoto Masashi for writing One Piece and Naruto. This is a fanfiction I wrote for my own pleasure. Please don't judge it too harshly... I have checked for spelling and grammar mistakes, but just in case there is the occasional mistake, please comment on it, rather than insult me. From personal experience, I have seen people insulting my grammar, with a comment akin to:"Cant u even spell 'mom' correctly? It's 'mom' not 'mum' you idiot!!!" So, please, don't insult me like that... It really ruins my day, which might have already been awful... Also, I apologise if they get really overpowered, or sound really arrogant... I don't mean it that way, but that's how it is read, so I'm sorry before hand. Well done for making it this far, and thank you for reading. noelicoan.
