What...? Loveta is a moonstruck!?
“Tch! Don't believe everything they tell you Master! I would never be part of a seedy group like that! Grrrrr!”
"Your lie won't save you!"
Murakami picks up momentum and swings her sword where Loveta is, but the other simply dodges it by going up a tree.
“It's not a lie, but for an imperial knight not to believe, I wouldn't expect less! Gyaaa!”
From above the tree, Loveta launches her chains, but Murakami knocks them back with the impact of her blade.
“Make no mistake, I'm not an Imperial anymore!”
“Gyu? Oh, no? So then why are you hunting soul-linkeds? For fun~? Gah! Don't give me that!”
Loveta leaps from the tree, doing a somersault in the air, and slams her chains with all her will on the ground, opening a huge crater in the middle of the trees.
Murakami narrowly deflects. Her face was slightly cut.
Damn it! Will I just keep watching?! Seeing my ideal anime girl and my angel fighting is the last thing I would like to see!
—I need to come up with something!
“I really wanted to go easy on you, but apparently there's no other way...” Murakami closes her eyes and raises her left arm into the air.
FLASH!!
A second sword appears in her hand.
What?? How did she do it?!
“Master!! Hurry! Take this opportunity and run away!”
“Don't look away! Your chat is with me!”
Using her new weapon, Murakami slices the air in an 'X' shape, and the impact of the blades with the wind flies towards Loveta.
BOOM!
Everything that was in front of her is devastated by the strong blast, leaving only her enemy full of cuts.
“Grrrrr...”
Even cut, Loveta demonstrates that she can still go on, and jumps all over the other.

The level of the fight between the two rises again.
Tch, trying to call them is useless. They are really focused fighting each other. Shit! What can I do?! I don't want to just stand here and do nothing, let alone run away! I've already had enough of playing this noob thing so far!

As soon as I hear this, several figures appear before my vision. Each of them with a symbol and a description.

A tree flies just right beside me.

'Flash Arrow'? I don't remember seeing this in the game either, but never mind, if it works the same way I'm thinking—Then perfect!
Now I just need to know how to activate it... Uh, should I really have skipped the tutorial?

The system's voice had changed to a girl's timbre.

Looking at the two beauties facing each other with all their might, I direct the arrow from my bow to my target, and just like that I shout—

The shot is fast and accurate, hitting exactly the tree I had in my sights.

“Gyaaaa!”
They cover their eyes due to the intensity of the light, and when they discover it, they notice something different. Yes, to their surprise, I was in the middle of both, holding each other's arm.
“The battle ends here!” I say, looking at them seriously.
“Gya?! Master??”
“Ryouzen, did you… 'awakened'?”
Perplexed, they soon calm down.

A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. Life wasn't hard anymore, at least not in the United States of Europe. Summer break is about to start and, finally, Zoe will turn 18 and be able to play the game, Binding Fate. A simple video game, a vrmmo, but what swam under its surface wasn't simple. Power, fame and money were but the tip of the iceberg... State: Hiatus because I've an idea for another story. Quick F.A.Q. : - Yuri/female homosexual relation? Yes.- Yaoi/male homosexual relation? Maybe.- Explicit Sexual Content? Maybe.- Full Fledged Tragedy? No. Never, ever ever.- Body Modification/Body Horror? Yes. (Note: what one person think is body horror can be acceptable for someone else. If you want to see to what length I can go, read a bit of The Other Labyrinth. However, I won't go as high as quickly in the body mod/horror, so relax.- Gore? Hell yeah! I love gore! spraying blood and viscera etc...- Torture? Hurgh... maybe? Idk. Not at the start at the very least.- Memory loss/erasing? No, or at least not permanently. I basically hate this trope because it's like taking out all the character grow from a character, destroying everything that makes them what and who they are. so no.- Overpowered protagonist? You will see mufufu...- Will characters stay relevant seeing how numerous they are? YES, MOTHERFUCKING YES, I hate when characters relevance decay over time for no good reasons ^^'- Plot Armor? First of all, a definition: "Sometimes referred to as "Script Immunity" or a "Character Shield", Plot Armor is when a main character's life and health are safeguarded by the fact that he's the one person who can't be removed from the story. Therefore, whenever Bob is in a situation where he could be killed (or at the least very seriously injured), he comes out unharmed with no logical, in-universe explanation." No, because I always have an in-universe explanation, even if you don't know it yet ^^ Something is illogical or don't make sense? Read more, the answer is surely in the story ^u^- Balanced system? If you want to crush numbers and have a perfect equation balancing all the system, that's not the story for you. The system is more like a living being, and the rewards aren't forcibly tied to the level of the player. In fact, the system is purposely unbalanced ^^' Author's note: My goal here is to write a slow-paced story revolving around the bonds linking the characters, be them family, friends or lovers. Fight will be part of it, but I intend to build an actual interesting world before making truly large-scale battle happen, because the bigger a battle is, the larger its causes and effects are. I also aim at telling a story about how the characters actually help each other becoming stronger, more stable and happier. I particularly despise the lone MC type that becomes so powerful that every other character of the current setting become irrelevant beside being hostage targets, so this will not happen. I also like crafting, arrays, blacksmithing etc... so there may be crafting. Another thing I like is management game like sim-city or the like, so this while also appears, keeping in mind that I like MC's that make people around them stronger...
