With his eyes downwards searching for herbs, Grekorio moved his feet through the grass that reach his knees,'I need just a few herbs for inspect reach lv X.', Grekorio sighed and started to run towards the place where he sighted spots of energy.
Using Woody's trait, he noticed that 3 energy humanoid silhouette wasn't too far from him, and they stopped next to an animal energy silhouette, opening his eyes he looked at their direction and started to move cautiously.
Arriving at the place where he could see what the 4 beings are doing from afar, he realized that that only he could only see the a 2m tall boar with white striped across its body, eating grass, suprised he started to look more carefully and noticed the 3 humanoid silhouettes in a prone position. Grekorio observed the situation from afar for 3 minutes, after 3 minutes the boar looked to the side, the opposite direction where the 3 are, and they probably couldn't endure waiting anymore took this small opportunity.
When the poor boar looked away, they immediatelly got up and assaulted the white striped boar brandishing spears and letting a wild roar flow out their throat, one of them threw his lance and the other two hurried to pierce the boar with their lance. The boar was suprised when it heard the grass moving and then hearing the wild roar from the demi-humam, it quickly kicked the ground, but before it could get far a lance penetrate its left hind leg and the boar heavily fell on the ground, it whined and tried to get up but when it leaned on its left hind leg fell again, and this time with no chance left to get up it looked at the spears coming for its life and closed its eyes.

Grekorio apathetically observed them hunting the boar, his eyes resting on their bodies and their unique features, not bulky at the same time not lanky , black fur through their body, he searched his memory for any info on this race but found nothing, but he remembered something important and crucial about this place and the races that inhabit it. His body started to change, black fur began to grow in his chest and back, his long silver hair changed to black color, he still wearing his beginner clothes, not like he had many choices, beside the beginner clother there's only the army uniform.
'I wonder which race they are, don't seems to be the black tiger or panther clan, they don't have the tigers huge muscles, or the lanky panther body, they are somewhere inbetween, i will soon find out. Anyway, it's time to test my acting skill.', his eyes flashing a cunning light, he unsheated his sword and cutted his torso and arms, letting the blood flow out the wounds Grekorio put the sword in his inventory, then he looked at the demi-human and started to running desperately as if something terrifying was coming for him and screaming even more desperately for help.
The demi-human around the boar are nonchalantly talking about how they cook the boar when they heard a shrill scream for help, pulling their spears from inside the boar, they scanned the sorrounding for whatever is screaming. One of them sighted a figure at the distance with features difficult to identify thanks to the sun on it back, he warned the other two and they warely waited for the silhouette get closer.
The silhouette, Grekorio, was 10 meter away from them when he heard they shouting for him to stop, he obediently stopped and seeing one them approaching him, Grekorio patiently waited for whatever has to come.

The demi-human stopped 3 meters away from Grekorio, whom was gasping for breath, and pointing his spear at Grekorio said,"Identify yourself!"
Grekorio lifted his two hand in surrender and answered with the most honest sounding way he could,"I am Grekorio. Please, don't kill!", shortly after answering he fell to his knees crying, if one was to describe this in one word, that word would be, shameless.
The demi-human stared at the poor being in front of him, looking at its pitiful state, it hit a soft spot in his heart and even began speaking in a more warm way, "Explain exactly what happened and why you are in this state?"
"Thank you for having mercy on this weak one.", Grekorio bowed his head and a smile spread across his face, which disappeared at the same instant, lifting his head he started telling his story.
"I was living happily with my parents for all my life, but that only lasted until yesterday when my father killed one chamrosh together with my mother, they brought it back home, but the chamrosh was still a child and when its mother noticed it wasn't coming back for her, the mother searched for it ,and seeing it in my father's hands the mother went beserk and destroy everything with a thunderstorm that transformed the ground in a wasteland, my father and mother fought the beast but in the end....", Grekorio started crying and punching the ground as if trying to vent his grief and anger.
The demi-human looked at Grekorio with watered eyes, he closed his eyes and turning around to hide the tears almost falling,"I understand your situation. That also explain why you don't have your spear with you."
'So i remembered it correctly! The races here has the customs to use one weapon for their entire life, i remember crafting a lance for a demi-human when i was around here in the beta. It's shameful for them to not have spear or something like that, and everything is decided by their skill in it. Interesting.', Grekorio dried his crocodile tears and stood up.
"It's shameful, but my spear broke by one of its attack. I am happy that you understood.", Grekorio touched his wounds and a pained smiled spread across his face.
"Don't worry about the spear. You are still young and still has a few chances in your life.", The demi-human brought his hand to his chin and an expression saying 'i am thinking now, wait a sec.' appeared in his face, Grekorio now close to the demi-human and could see that he has a few scar in his face and an aged appearance.
"Hey, how about you follow us to our tribe?", the old demi-human nodded satisfied with himself.
"Sure! Thanks for helping me!", Grekorio bowed his head honestly, but inside his mind was different,'I guess this should be worth a title, achiviment or something. Don't know if this NPC is easy to fool or my acting was good.'
"Nice.", the old demi-human turned around and shouted at the other 2 demi-human watching,"Pack the boar! We are going back!", he then started to move towards the horizon with the two demi-human carrying the boar and Grekorio following them.

With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
