V01 CH 05 : Our Reunion Part 2

It was a fierce battle (Pancho). The old geezer, despite his old age, he gives me a hard time to win. I can tell by grabbing his rough hand that, this old geezer never stops training with his sword since last time I see him. Even his hard muscle still can be seen from his arm.

I can see his decevious smile, as if to say this old man are stronger than me.

Damn old man, even I, not lazing around at Valor Village you know.

Every morning I'm telling my daughter to go hunting in forest, but the truth is I keep training like my master told me to.

100x push up, 100x sit up, 100x squat and 10 KM runs EVERY SINGLE DAY!

So I confident with my strength.

Not long till old man's hand gets shaken because his arm can`t stand the burden. Then, with all my power, I push my hand as hard as I can and with a BANG! The sound of old man's hand when I push his hand to the table.

I clench my two fists and raise it in the air like a champion.

“Free drink by the old man.”

All the people in the bar get up from their chair and put their beer into the air and all synchronize say “Cheers” then laughing.

“HAHAHAH, to think you manage to win against me two times now. This old man really needs more tra- erm, I forgot that I have already stopped training huh.”

“Shut up you lier old geezer, your appearance are not matched with your power. Just if I am not training every day, it`s definitely me who pay for the drink today.”

“NAHAHAHA, as sharp as ever huh. This old man already lost his touch HAHAHA.”

The old man then gets up from his chair and raise his mug to the air “Yo bastard, all drink pay by me. I will kick yo ass if I don`t see you drunk today HAHAHA.”

One person's voice, then can be heard from the back seat near the exit door, “Shut up old man, the last time I see you drunk just by drink 3 mugs of beers.”

“Whoa- you. Damn young one, let`s have a drinking contest then and see who`s gonna drunk first.”

The old man, who accept that guy challenge, quickly get up and walk to his seat.

Meanwhile, I'm alone now, because most of the attention are fixed to the old man and his drinking contest, finally I can go to my main mission now.

Yes, the reason why I have come to this city today is to meet that guy after all. I see him drinking a sake just out front of the bar, so I walk toward the bar and sit just beside him.

I take a paper note from my jacket sleeve, place it on the table and bring it near his sake. Soon, he takes it and hide it on his sleeve.

“To think the moment you return, here is when the city get infected with a mysterious disease and not when the city get attacked by neighbors kingdom or when one of demon king general attack. Isn`t that right, leader?”

“I told you not to call me leader don`t I, and as for your question, I believe you already know why I come here don`t you, Sakutaro.”

Yes, this guy name is Arashi Sakutaro. He's one of my comrades when I still act as leader party name Wolfgang.

After our last quest, I'm leaving the city and living in Valor Village. The last latter, I get from this guy was 4 years ago, seem he got a position on the city as queen personal guard or something.

Well, enough about him, let just glance at him and maybe he will answer my question.

“.......”

He just silences, without looking at me. He drinks his sake with one gulp, then he uses his hand signaling something to me, it`s a signal for “Come closers”.

“It`s not diseases, but an evil spirit.” He said with a low voice near my ear.

“Wha- don`t evil spirit already sealed by divine hero 100 years ago?.”

“No poison was found. Even the best doctor here can't diagnose Stefan illness. It was- no nevermind”

He fell to silence again, refill his small mug with sake Botel then drink it with one gulp. He then reaches on his sleeve and place 5 copper coins on the table. He get up from the chair and ready to leave.

“Wait Sakutaro, there are still one thing that's bugging me. Can you answer it honestly?”

“Depending on the question, I will not answer it if it matter about Stefan.”

“It's about people who get infected. I heard most women who get infected shown some illness like fever and their body so heavy that they only spend their time in bed. Is that true?”

It was my very objective to confirm this after all to find out the truth about this mysterious disease.He then turn his body away, then look strike to my eyes.

“Yes, its called Mystic Fever. At first 20 days, the one who gets infected shown minor illness such fever and body so heavy. At 21 days, the infected will have a continuous pain in chest. At 31 days, the infected will suffer a paralyzed while the pain in their chest gradually increases. Most infected died at 37 days.”

Wha- what did this guy say? Isn`t he just describing Diana illness perfectly by now. So Diana will die? No, this can't be happening, this isn`t happening.

“Please answer me honestly, is there a cure to this disease?”

“Only a priest with a higher divine power can cure it. But to seek such person audience are impossible, especially commoner like you. So, just give up.”

I lower my sight and thinking thoroughly about what I should do. Will I lose someone I love while I have this power again? Just thinking about someone you love will lose while you have this so much power are really painful.

Sakutaro then frown, as if he wants to cheer me up, he said something that makes my heart at east at least.

“With so many people infected with this illness, the queen asks pope himself to cure this Mystic Fever. The last report I heard that, the pope will arrive at city 2 days from now. If you have someone who infected as well, your best shot is to bring them to the city to get purified. Well, that all information I can give to you.”

Without looking at me or give me regard, he just walking away.

So the pope who has the greatest divine power will visit this city. Then there a hope. Diana won't die, if its pope, he definitely can cure Diana.

So with determent to cure Diana, I take my leave and headed straight to Valor Village. Tomorrow, I will take Diana to this city and wait till pope arrived, so Diana illness can be cured as fast as possible.

At certain room at kingdom castle in the capital city where the king room area.

A man can be seen sleeping soundly on wide king size bed. Beside him is a beautiful woman wearing a crown and a beautiful dress.

Despite a black ring can be seen under her eye because lack of sleep is still not enough to ruin her beauty. She grabs his hand and place it on her cheek, then she say something with a gentle yet tired voice.

“Stefan, please hang in there. The pope will arrive here soon.”
