《Escapia: A VRMMO》Chapter 7: Healer Girl

It was morning. Lockheart was sleeping under the tree while lying on the grass. Daemon came over to Lockheart and poked her in the shoulder:
"Lockheart, wake up."
Lockheart stood up and yawned. She rubbed her eyes and looked at Daemon's bored face. Then she remembered what had happened yesterday and began to speak:
"H-hey Taka-... I mean Daemon... do you feel better now?"
Daemon numbly nodded. Lockheart looked at Daemon's face to see any reaction. Daemon frowned:
"Lockheart why the hell are you staring at me?"
"A-ah, sorry. I was just-"
"If, it's about yesterday, forget it. I was just acting like a soy-boy."
Lockheart looked at Daemon in surprise. It was the first time he had acted "humanoid" and now he wanted to let it go. Daemon's crying state was much better than this edgelord state. But Lockheart thought it best not to dig that up. Putting her question marks aside, she smiled at Daemon:
"So what are we gonna do today?"
Daemon clasped his hands behind his head:
"Ah, you are a little more involved today. I like it. First, we will teleport to Cavelands to fight in Cave Dungeons. Our gears and gems are slowly getting weaker compared to our items. Second, we will-"
Daemon stopped speaking when he heard a girl scream from the trees behind him:
"Hey, are you ok?"
A little girl with long black hair and blue eyes appeared from among the trees. Two chasing men appeared from behind the girl. The man wore a black cloak and they had a symbol with a skull inside a pentagram on their shoulders. The man had red eyes and it was he who looked threatening. The red-eyed man stepped forward and began to speak:
"Give me the girl!"
The little girl continued to shout:
"Onii-chan, help me!"
Lockheart stared at Daemon:

"Are we going to do something!"
Daemon rolled his eyes.
"I guess I have to."
Daemon took out his Mythril Sword and started running towards the man. He jumped over the little girl and took her behind him:
"Hey! Are you low enough to chase a little girl for a few stupid items!"
The man in the front, spit on the ground replied:
"Fool, you don't even know who the girl is."
Daemon chuckled confidently:
"Huh, I don't care who the girl is. Just because the girl is important doesn't justify you being a pussy and mugging a girl."
Daemon turned to the little girl with a smile:
"Hey kiddo, what's your name?"
The little girl replied:
"N-nyaru!"
"Nyaru, that sounds familiar... Hold on"
The man sighed and explained:
"This is the girl who killed the Ice Minotaur and got the precious reward!"
"Wait, what! What did she get as a reward."
Nyaru shyly pointed to the gold chain necklace she wore around her neck with a sapphire in the middle.
Light yellow particles were scattering from around the necklace. And Daemon got curious:
"Yooo! Is this Yellow Tier Necklace!"
Daemon kept his finger on the item:
[Item Name: Sapphire Core Necklace
Equipment Type: Necklace
Tier: Yellow
Refilling MP speed is %25 increased]
That's so sick!"
Nyaru tried to change the subject:
"Onii-chan, I don't want to interrupt you but these guys want to take the necklace from me. And I can't do anything because I'm a healer... Can we talk later?"
Daemon patted the girl's head:
"Sure thing, but can you stop calling me 'onii-chan'? You're too... pure to call me like that."
He pointed to Lockheart and called to Nyaru:
“Nyaru! Stand behind Lockheart sister.”
Daemon's eyes gleamed with pleasure.
“Brother Daemon has a cult member to cut."

Daemon aimed his sword at the red-eyed man and started running. The red-eyed man pulled out his two small daggers. They both jumped into the air at the same time. Daemon swung his sword from the left, while the red-eyed man blocked the attack with one dagger and stabbed Daemon from the right with the other dagger.
Daemon's health bar had turned purple and was slowly decreasing. He quickly read the status effect above the health bar: [Poisoned]
Daemon jumped high again in anger. He did a quick somersault through the air and pressed his sword into the red-eyed man's left dagger. As the red-eyed man prepared to stab Daemon with his right dagger, Daemon suddenly swung his sword at the man's right dagger. The red-eyed man's dagger was thrown away, and when it fell to the ground, it split into purple particles and disappeared.
While the red-eyed man was distracted, Daemon swung his sword to the right once more and stabbed the man. The man's HP suddenly changed from green to red. The red-eyed man panicked and began to flee deeper into the forest.
"That's how you run for messing with the main character, you wimp!"
Daemon heard Lockheart and Nyaru cheer him from behind.
Daemon was about to burst into laughter, but suddenly his head spun. He lost his balance and fell to the ground. The last thing he heard or saw before he lost consciousness was Lockheart shouting "Daemon!" and his HP bar was turning even more purple and bubbling.
——————————————————————————————
Daemon heard the sound of a flashing scratching his ears and a strange green light dazzling his eyes while between waking and dreaming.
Daemon was resting on Lockheart's lap when he fully opened his eyes:
Lockheart looked down at the Daemon and smiled:
"Daemon, thank goodness you're fine!"
Daemon got up from Lockheart's lap and looked around. The sun had already set and it was evening. Daemon's eyes searched for Nyaru. Nyaru was chasing fireflies in a field just far away.
"What happened to me?"
“Fool, you were poisoned while fighting! You lost consciousness and fell to the ground, then Nyaru came and healed you.”
“Oof, being saved by a girl… it hurts. I feel like the soy-boi Kazuya.”
“Stop with your stupid references and listen to me. Nyaru and I are seriously worried about you.”
Lockheart sighed and looked at Daemon through his purple eyes with slight disappointment:
"You have to be more careful while fighting."
"Fine..."
Meanwhile, Nyaru came out of the field and started running towards Daemon:
"Brother!"
Nyaru was out of breath as she approached Daemon:
"Brother, how are you, are you feeling better? Did I heal you well?"
Daemon nodded and patted Nyaru:
"You did great, Nyaru!"
While Daemon watching Nyaru jumping for joy and smiling, Lockheart interrupted:
"By the way, Daemon, there's one more thing."
"Say."
"Nyaru was with her mother in this game, but then she lost her mother while she was running in the fields. So until we find her mother, Nyaru will stay on our team."
Daemon sighed:
"And since when did I approve this?"
Lockheart smiled slyly:
"That's the neat part, you didn't."
Daemon rolled his eyes and Lockheart continued:
"C'mon, she is just a little kid. What's the worst that could happen?"
"A-alright, fine."
Meanwhile, Nyaru quickly turned to Daemon:
"Onii-chan can I ask you a question?"
Daemon smiled:
"Go on."
"Can I call you and Lockheart, papa, and mama?"
Nyaru chuckled with delight as Lockheart turned red:
"NOO! I mean Nyaru, stop making assumptions like, I-I mean just don't- DAEMON SAY SOMETHING!"
Daemon pinched his forehead:
"I'm already regretting this now."

Genshin Impact, Breezing Through Teyvat.
A man that was used to reviewing novels, dies in an elevator accident and gets sent to the world of Teyvat [Genshin Impact] to live his life the way he wants. What will happen if an unknown entity like him enters the world of Teyvat? Will the Archons hunt him down, or will he hunt them? *** This story is my first wish fulfillment. It will be slightly different from the story of Genshin Impact due to them updating the game so often and adding/changing stuff. Currently, it's patch 1.5 and I have been playing the game ever since it came out. So I am closely following the story, but... It won't be following the same story at all times. But I will do my best to try and follow the original as closely as possible with my abilities. It will reach number one on genshin fanfics. I guarantee it.
