Bards and storytellers created many different forms of the story.

Some say that the Hero called forth his divine protection from the heavens to punish the demon lord.

Some say that the Saint prayed for a miracle and the gods took pity on her and sent one down.

Some say that the Saviour used his tremendous magic powers to suppress the demon lord, allowing the Hero to deliver the final strike.

Some say that the Guardian and the Saviour sacrificed their lives to create an opening to defeat the demon lord.

So many different kinds of versions appeared, and it was not known which one was the truth. Perhaps, none of them were. Perhaps all of them were. However, people will always believe what they want to believe, even if what they believe in was not the truth at all.

Just like that, the truth of the story was left unanswered and buried along with those who died within the castle during the last fight.

Nanba Anna, who was the last Hero remaining, stayed for a very long time to help with the restoration process. Afterwards, when everything was stable, she left on a journey around the world, never to be seen under the public’s eyes ever again.

The guild master returned to the Republic, taking charge of the restoration on the other side of the continent. Along with the help of the surviving members of other guilds, they united under one banner and worked together in the rebuilding efforts.

The royal guard’s captain retired, choosing to live in the countryside once everything calmed down. He married a nice girl and had a happy family. Although his name was recorded in history, not many would have realised that a farmer turned out to be such a great figure.
