《Tourism Record of the Origin Dragon》Record 055: Minstrel

Soul Realm.
Vitae lets out a breath of relief. This is probably the first time she lied to someone, and she lied to her creator. She seems to be very bad at lying, but luckily, the dragon doesn't seem to care about it.
She took the responsibility to interrupt any unnecessary Primal Magic Origo cast, as to prevent him from finding out his authority. However, this time, she didn't expect that Origo's will could resonate with the formation and stunned the entire town before the spell even started.
Speaking of the formation, a Primal Soul Magic needs her permission to trigger, so normally it should have been failed without her interruption. However, one coincident after another, and it activated before she could do a thing. Maybe she should raise her Speed for the next few Levels...
"What's wrong? You look even sadder than when you mourn." Argon asks out of concern as I keep sitting there, mumbling nonsense to myself and glaring at the grass land.
"No one told me that a Class Trial would be held if I poke the symbol next to my level..." I raise my mumbling voice and speak with grief in my tone.
"Because no one can start a Class Trial on their own." Argon says then turns to look at Rector, receiving a nod of agreement from the human.
Ah darn. Screw me and my authority.
"Class Trial?" The angel kid, who is standing next to Rector again, asks.
"If you are unhappy with your randomly chosen Class, you could request a Class Trial from one of the Primal Gods." Rector crouches down and explains to Bened. "However, it's nearly impossible to make the Gods listen to you without a good reason."
I knew about the existence of Class Trial. Not all players are happy about the Class they got, but it's not easy to start a trial so I almost forgot about it. About requesting the Gods, its equivalent in the game is probably sending a Help Ticket to the Game Master or Admin. This is the first time I have trouble because I have Admin's privilege.
"Do you know which Class you got?" Rector turns to ask me with excitement.
"M..." I wonder if I should tell him.
"Ah, as I expect. Of course you would get a magic caster class."
"No.. ah, yes. A magic caster." As I was about to stop Rector from misunderstanding my word, I remember that Minstrel has both physical and magical Subclass.
About Minstrel's physical Subclass... they are embarrassing! Being a Dancer and waving a whip around? Nope. Being a Jester is.. exactly what it says on the tin...
I would rather following the magical Subclass, like a Bard who sings or a Musician who plays Instrument or a Poet who recites magical words rhythmically...
Bard: Have to sing to draw out the song's power. Better voice equal more power. I had to implement a Karaoke machine to the Game when I code this Subclass.
Musician: Since this is a real world, I suppose that there wouldn't be a Timed Button minigame like in that game, but rather playing with real instrument.
Poet: Have power in any and all spoken words. The more rhythmic my words, the more power. However, I can't turn it off. A sneeze and there go a city. That's also one of the most annoying Subclass to code, as it had to detect rhythm.

With how similar this world is to that game, the Subclass probably work the same. Well, at least I don't have to yell my name at the beginning and the spell's name at the end, so it would be less embarrassing. Lucky for you, World, I'm not going to commit suicide. Also, this supportive Class is even less aggressive than a Healer Class, which put me in even less danger.
"So, do you know which exact Class did you get?" Rector asks again.
"I'm a Minstrel." I answer with a sigh.
"Pphhh!" Argon almost laughed, but he managed to block his mouth in time.
"What is a Minstrel?" Surprisingly, this time it's Rector who asks it.
As I was about to answer, Argon's laugh becomes louder and louder, making me wonder if I should kill myself or not. Either way, I decide to not explain it.
"Hey Mister!" Bened comes over and asks Argon. "What is a..."
"Hhhmp!" Before the kid could finish his question, I pick him up and stuff him into my maw, much to Rector and Argon's horror. Ignoring their faces, I shift myself to stand on all four and walk away.
"H..hey! Let Bened go you mon.." Rector chases after me and shouts, but abruptly stops.
"I'm sorry! I won't laugh again!" Argon follows after then stands in my way.
"Haaa..." I sigh then drop the kid onto my claws and lower him to the ground. Strangely, his face doesn't show any emotion on it. He didn't even have any reaction in my maw. Maybe becoming an Angel did that to him.
"Is it just me or he just gained a level?" Suddenly Argon asks as he stares at the kid's status tab above his head.
Bened looks back and forth between the three who are staring at him.
[Lv7 Holy] Hmm, did he gain some Level? I don't really remember... Ah right, he was Lv3 when I turned him into an Angel.
"I think so too. He was Lv6 just a moment ago." Rector says then slowly turns his head to look at me. "Could it be..?"
"No!" I shout at him. "Not a chance! Never talk about this again!"
Ignoring the three, I continue walking forward. What is this madness? Is this Minstrel's power or Origin Dragon's power? Either way, I absolutely don't want to find out!
"What's wrong? You don't want to hum that tune again?" Rector probably mistook it for an Exp-increasing tune. I didn't think I hummed anything.. or did I?
"Hhhmp... Haaa..."
[♪Origin Melancholy♪]
How did a Melancholy increase Exp? That makes no sense. Anyway, I guess I will have to be careful about any noise I make from now on...
"Hey hey! Don't be selfish like that!" Rector doesn't want to give up. I wonder...
"Rawr." I turn at Rector and make a short roar.
[♪Origin Roar♪]
"Must you add that to all the spell name?"
[♪Origin Complaint♪]
"..."
[♪Origin Silence♪]
"Screw this in its entirely."
[♪Origin Curse♪]
"Hey! Come out here! Who are you?!"
[It was a joke, you Jester.]
"I don't intend on being a Jester."

"Who are you talking to?" Argon walks over and helps Rector standing up.
"The system voice." I bluntly reply as I look left and right at the sky.
"Ah.. we call It the God who governs the System Interface."
"It just threw some weird skills at me." I say then open the Skill menu to take a look.
Other than the bunch of Lv0 magics that refuse to disappear and my first tune, ♪Requiem♪, those joke skills weren't added.
"Um.. Rector? Are you okay?" Argon shakes the unmoving human.
I turn over to look at him. The moment Rector looks at my eyes, he suddenly kneels down and stares at the ground under me. Ah darn, the joking roar went wrong.
"Hey Rector." I say the poke him a few times, but he keeps staring downward. "I know how much you want to submit, but.. it's not the time for it. Your stats should be much higher than mine, so resist it."
"Ah?" Rector's body shivers time before he looks up again. "I.. I'm sorry. I lost myself." He says then shakes his head then stands up.
"What happened to you?" Argon asks worriedly.
"Fear status." Rector bluntly replies.
I know that there is more to that. With his status, he could have easily broken away from Fear. I still remember how I indirectly took away someone close to him.. and he probably longed to rejoin her. However, I just got used to him, so I won't let him die anytime soon.
"Hey Rector." I lower my head at the human who is losing in thought. "Want to hear a song?" This is the least I could do for him. "Consider it an apologize..."
[♪Longing Embrace♪]
Along our journey, I started to get used to using my skills - aka, singing, humming, etc... Still, I never sing in front of strangers, and my little party never laugh at me when I sing. To be honest, my voice isn't that great, but it's still.. bearable.
Most, if not all, of the medieval themed song/tune I knew could be used to cast magic. Since it's magical, each song controls one or many elements and paints my scale accordingly. About the effect, some increases or decrease stats; some buff or debuff with status alignment. If it's the same as in the game, the effectiveness should be based on my own stats.
Argon likes my Speed increase song, while Rector prefers Atk and Def buff. Bened is.. always the same. He just likes listening to music, even those that apply debuff to party member. Glutton never told me which song he liked and kept saying how horrible my voice was, yet he pop in every now and then to listen.
Personally, I like that one catchy song with Water element about someone who conceal their feeling. It boosts morale and freezes the enemies, which is nice. I couldn't build a tower with it though.
I also test a lot of different things with this Class. After all, real world is way more flexible than a computer game. I found out that casually telling joke, yelling, shouting, etc... almost anything that make a sound, is treated as skills. I didn't have enough test subject to test their success rate though.
As we travel on the main road, we don't meet any high Level monster to raise my Level, but we caught a few to test my skills. Strangely, most of the monsters enjoy being Frozen, Electrocuted, Petrified, etc... by me.
The thing I like most about this Class is Recite. I can chant magic without saying embarrassing words, however they are limited to support skills and their effectiveness is dependent on how rhythmic I recite. I'm not very good at Rapping, so my magics usually fail. I could also Recite pre-written Heroic Poetry, but I know none of this world's heroes...
Material Realm. Somewhere else.
A robed figured is walking down the road of a town. The strange weapon strapped on his back looks like a pan, but instead of solid metal plate, the round part is a net. The robe covers his body entirely, save for his face; but the hood creates a shade that makes his face hard to be seen.
A suspicious-looking individual like that might not be able to enter a city unhindered, but this town is famous as a gathering point of wanderer-base and stealth-base Classes. People might just assume that he is someone who belong to one of Rogue's Subclass who uses all kinds of strange weapon in the world.
""...As he kowtow before the Grant Creator, the great God who Governs Time appears before him. The God, moved by his faith to the Origin, granted him the ability to Control Time at the cost of his own age...""
As he walking, he notices a Minstrel sitting next to a tree trunk, entertaining a group of people under the tree's canopy. Since he has nothing to do, he decides to walk over and listen to the Minstrel, who is weaving his hand on a Lute and telling a tale about a hero of the past.
As the story goes on and on, the audience becomes more and more curious as to what happen next. Although they heard of this hero before, no one knew the full story as detailed as like this Minstrel.
A bunch of thieves and assassins sit together, yet no incident happen. Causing trouble here would mean disrespect to the Hero, the God and the Creator - Origin Dragon. That's the privilege of a Minstrel.
""...After his grant sacrifice, the Origin Dragon shred a drop of tear mourning for him. The drop is later known as the Tear of Origin. Its true usage is lost in time, but it's the only thing capable or reading a person's Elemental Value...""
As the Minstrel reaches this part, the Rogue starts talking among themselves, as to how much such a treasure worth. They quickly agrees on that it's a priceless Artifact.
"The Origin Dragon..." The man with the strange weapon on his back mumbles to himself as he steps away. "He should be my key to return home..."

The blue Astrum of memories
Some of you believe in fate and some of you don't. That's ok in our world. In the world that I created Fate has been acting strange and selfish for a long time. She was always fascinated with humans and the fact that they had soulmates because a lot of other races didn't. Ever since humans started traveling through space, that opened millions of new opportunities for Fate to make the human soulmates meet. However, because of her strange behaviour Fate made too many mistakes. After that, Fate made what she thought, was a good move. What she didn't count on was that the good move she made knew that you can cheat fate. One and his crew don't know how ironic it is that she chose them to make her good move. ------------------------------- I didn't use any movies, books or series for inspiration the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain telling me what to write. I hope you liked it :) It’s just a story, like all of my other stores. It doesn’t have a deeper spiritual, moral or ethical meaning.
