["Well well well. What a coincident seeing you here."]
"Can you explain what is happening?" I ask while pointing at the huge octopus above the lake. Speaking of octopus, I want to try some sea food.
["Nope, too bothersome."] The impudent wolf says and fades into existence next to my Toothpick. I take a glance at his status tag floating above him. [Lv20 Earth]
"Oh, you reach Lv20 already?" I ask absentmindedly.
The octopus simply gives a glance at my little party then glare at Glutton again. Suddenly, a different voice echoes in my mind.
["It seems you have some acquaintances here. Do you dare to cast that spell again?"]
The wolf lands next to me while still staring at the octopus. They are probably fighting.. but how did a Lv20 fight a Lv45? They are probably sparing. I remember Glutton mentioning having some friends in Ethereal Realm.
I step toward the lake, waving my hand at the giant semi-transparent creature. This is the first time I see someone bigger than me in this world.
"Yo. I'm Origo. You're Glutton's friend, right? Thanks for taking care of my wolf." I casually say. Although Glutton isn't a nice servant, he is still mine.
"Beware!" Suddenly Rector's alerted voice comes from behind.
The giant octopus throws its tentacles at me. It was so fast that none of us could warn me in time. Maybe the lizard Argon could, but he is still unconscious.
Before I could react, the octopus already lifted me and carries me over to the lake. It's pretty weird as I can't feel the tentacles at all. Are all spirits like this?
Looking at the wolf, he only has a constant grin on his face. Although I would appreciate it if he worried about me, but I guess his friend just wants to greet me in a strange way... right?
["Haha! I caught your friend! If you want him to live, then... urgh... This is..."]
Okay, false guess. They are fighting for real, and somehow a Lv20 wolf managed to threaten a Lv45 octopus to the point of using hostage. There is no reason for either of us to be panic, it seems. Judging by the octopus's stuttering voice, it probably notices my scale.
["Th..the Mana Dragon!!"] The octopus's voice screams in my mind.
"Hello again." I say with a joking tone.
We are currently continuing our journey toward the South. Our destination is South West, but Rector wanted to go by the lake town. I have nothing against it since the town folks won't probably go crazy over me again.
"It was underwhelming." Rector complains.
"What did you expect?" I ask then shake my shoulder a bit, adjusting the lizard on my back.
"There wasn't any.. fighting. I though I could have an epic fight with a Lv45 spirit." Rector says then lowers his voice to mumble. "It would be fun..."
"I don't like fighting anyway." I say then shrug.. but shrugging while walking on all four is nigh impossible.
["You could at least let me eat him..."] This time, it's Glutton who complains. The brown semi-transparent wolf is floating beside me. Hmm, did his fur get darker?

"You're going to explode!" Bened says in a cheerful voice while walking beside Rector.
["Who is this bird kid?"] Glutton looks at the angel kid then frowns.
"Your breakfast. Eat him please." I say nonchalantly.
The fatty wolf floats down and sniffs at the kid.
"Hey, that wasn't funny!" Rector immediately hides the kid behind him.
"I don't need anymore Holy element in my life." I say then shiver slightly, remembering the priest and holy knight.
["Holy? I will get a stomachache from eating it!"] Glutton suddenly floats away from the kid like avoiding disease.
"And I thought you could eat anything."
["I could.. until you turn me into a Spirit. I can't eat Fire element anymore. And my second aptitude is Dark, so I can't eat Holy."] Glutton explains like an expert in Spirit. ["That's what my friends told me. I can't eat things with clashing elements to myself."]
"Where is your other head?" Rector asks Glutton something completely unexpected to me. "Isn't his element Fire?"
["Hmm.."] Glutton turns to look at his side. ["Where is he, I wonder..."]
"What do you mean?" I look at Rector and Glutton confusedly.
"Last time I saw your servant, he had two heads." Rector says like it's the most natural thing in the world.
"T..two?! One impudent wolf is enough, now I have to deal with two?!"
"Don't worry, he is really loyal to you." Rector says as he glances at Argon on my back like seeking approval. The lizard is still asleep though.
"Switch! Change! Give me the other head!" I immediately yell at Glutton, much to the annoyance of the wolf.
Ethereal Realm. Glutton's Domain - Penum.
"How are you now?" Red asks Atrament as it lands on the ground
The white snake is laying on a bed made of leaf. Only one nymph is here, taking care of his wound. Seeing Glutton, the shaking Selachian runs over and bows.
"What's wrong? You look scared." Red gently asks the aquatic spirit.
The Selachian looks over his shoulder. Noticing the snake's gaze, he shivers then turns back to stare at the ground.
"The wound isn't too bad.. Did you deal with Cruris?" Atrament lays his head on the bed. His gaze passes over the remaining nymph, making her shiver.
"He escaped to the Material Realm. Coincidentally, my master is there. After a few talk, Cruris is now my subordinate."
"What? He is alive?"
"My first spell stripped half of his tentacles. He barely escaped the second. I think it's enough." Red explains in a calm voice.
"You are too kind. If it was your other head, he would take the chance to eat Cruris..." Atrament says then motions his snout toward the sleeping dark brown head. "What is he doing?"
Before Red could answer, Brown suddenly wakes up.
"Your master calls. He prefers you." Brown says with an annoyed tone.
"Excuse me, it's OUR master... Anyway, he doesn't like being worshiped, so I thought he preferred you..."
"Hey!" Brown ignores Red and looks at Atrament. "I'm tired. Give me the bed!"
"How rude! Don't you see he is wounded?" Red barks at Brown.

The two heads bark back and forth, making the snake chuckle...
The lizard named Argon has woken up. I tried to ask him about his conversation with his brother, but he refused to answer. However, he has been more cheerful since then, so I don't think there is any problem.
Also, the angel kid Bened started hiding behind Rector after I said that I was going to feed him to my wolf. Speaking of Glutton, he said that he would go telling his other head to come out, yet he hasn't gone back for awhile. I worried about him a bit and decide to take a peek at his stats only to see his Stat Limit being wasted everywhere.
Name: GluttonElement: Earth / FireLevel: 20Race: FenrirHP: 466/466MP: 120/134STR: 8SPI: 20VIT: 2AGI: 8DEX: 2LUK: 10
It only takes me a second to calculate. A little over half of his Stat Limit was spent. If he continues spreading his stats all over, he would be really weak later on. As he is a wild monster, he probably doesn't know how to build stats. Heck, most of the players in that game don't know it, neither.
Before I resurrect him, his stats were perfect for Assassin class. Now, it's a mess. Maybe I will drive him toward Soul Destroyer build, an Assassin subclass that relies on LUK and SPI to instantly destroy target's soul.
"You seem to be lost in thought." Rector suddenly asks. "Ever since we resumed our journey, you haven't talked much."
"I'm thinking about Glutton's character build and planning the future career for him." I simply answer. Noticing Rector's confused look, I rephrase it using fantasy vocabulary. "How to train his stats and which subclass he would be.. You know about class and subclass, right?"
"I do." Argon who was walking in front suddenly turns back and walks backward. "I am a Ranger, the same as my brother. However my subclass is Navigator, while my brother is a Trapper."
I simply nod at him. Those deities did implement that game's Classes and Subclasses. However, because it's hidden, I'm amazed that the inhabitant of this world know about it. Did they gain these basic knowledge from a tutorial after birth?
"Mister.." Hearing Bened's voice, I turn to see the angel kid tugging Rector's clothes. "What is my Class?"
"You haven't reached Lv10 yet." Rector says as he rubs the kid's head. "When you do, we will find a Temple and see which class you would get."
"Temple?" I suddenly ask. "There are other temples other than.. that one?" I'm reluctant to call it My Temple.
"There are twelve Primal Gods and Goddess, each of them has many Temples over the world. People come there to pray for a lot of different purpose. Most of the time, it's for receiving Class at Lv10 and Subclass at Lv20. Ah right, Ascension is held at those Temples too." Rector explains.
"I don't think we need to visit a Temple." I say and glance at the kid. I don't like those deities a bit, so I won't visit them.
"You can grant Class too?" Rector raises his voice to ask. He expects a lot from me, huh?
"No, I mean I was going to feed the kid to Glutton anyway."
"That isn't funny..." Rector hides the kid behind him again.
I snicker and look away, losing in thought again.
Granting Class, huh? It would be good if I could do it myself. I really don't want to pray to those deities. Still, I'm Lv8 already; two more levels and I could gain a class. Which one would it be?
In that game, Class is randomly granted depend on stats build, while Subclass is more or less "How the player build in the future". I could calculate the odd for which Class I'm going to get, but there is never a 0% for any class. That game is very flexible. Even if someone trained entirely in SPI, they could still get one of those melee fighter classes, and follow Runic Knight build later.
I'm okay with whichever since I played them all. As a Developer, I had to play all the Classes to find bugs. But after getting here, I find Chanting and Yelling the magic's name extremely embarrassing. Luckily my SPI stats is low. If I had high SPI and DEX, the various Magic caster classes would be almost certain.
Name: Origo ΔεμιντικαAge: 12000Level: 8Race: DragonHP: 89/89MP: ∞STR: 3SPI: 3VIT: 6AGI: 2DEX: 12LUK: 3
What a mess... With this spread out build, none of the Classes would be certain.
With my DEX being dominant, Archer or Ranger class would have the highest chance. However my SPI raised the chance for magic caster classes a little. There is also a magic classes who uses Rune and doesn't have to chant much, so it's acceptable. Still, with those STR and VIT, the chance for me to be a melee fighter is still higher than me being a magic caster.
I look at the Toothpick in Rector's hand. In that game, users of weapon like this are melee fighters with high DEX. If nothing changes, that would be the best for me.
If the worst come to the worst, I get the magic class who have to chant all day and night, I'm going to commit suicide. Who to blame?
"Hey, human.. I mean, Rector."
"Y..yeah?" Being called so suddenly, Rector looks at me with a frown.
"Is there a deity who controls random chance?"
"Deity? Ah, you meant the Gods. Yes, there is the Goddess of Luck. I can't say her name out loud though." Rector answer with a wry smile.
"If I die at Lv10, blame her. By the way, what is her name? I allow you to say it." I don't really care about her name, but I want to mess with Rector a bit.
"Ehh.. her name means Luck in the Ancient Language..." Rector tries to avoid it.
"Fortuna?" I ask with a smirk. Seeing Rector's bewildered look, I know that I guess it correctly.
Ancient Language my cloaca! They just copy a language in my memory to make it their own. Judging from various names I heard, I could guess which language that was.
"You just disrespected the Goddess of Luck.." After being bewildered for a moment, Rector says. "..You won't get any more LUK for the rest of your life!"
"Darn that Fortuna, making that weird rule!" I curse the 'God' audibly...
