《Tourism Record of the Origin Dragon》Record 041: Kid

I awkwardly look at the kid. Brown hair. Gray clothes. I can't see his face but judging from the knight's word, I guess it's a male kid. I can't see his eyes clearly but there was obviously no light in them. So they gave the kid the bad news?
I check my conscience a few times. Because the rock-headed knight, whose name I haven't learned, was happy in the end and didn't struggle in my realm, I own him nothing. Even if I kill this kid right now, it will be good for both side. He will join his dad on 'Heaven', and I'd get rid of this stomachache along with any possible annoying revenge attempt in the future...
However, this kid will hardly give me any exp.
"Eh.. mushrooms?" I lightly push my roasted mushrooms basket toward him.
"..." The [Lv3 Holy] kid stares at the basket, not saying anything.
The kid is at least five to seven years old based on his length (I mean height), but his Level is only 3. It has been less than two weeks since I started leveling, and I was locked up most of the time, but yet I'm Lv7. Am I leveling too fast or this kid is simply too slow? No, the exp I got are exactly based on the formula, so no 'Blessing' was involved.
"Hey kid, do you want to Level up?" I lower my head so the kid could look directly at me without raising his head.
The kid glances at me, then silently lowers his head further. Hey, I can't bury my head into the ground! I really want to smash him for ignoring me, but it won't give me much exp, so I have to level him up first. And to do that, I have to get his attention.
"So..." I let out a sigh then pause, raising my head to look at the sky. "What do you know about your dad?"
"He.." The kid hesitates a moment. "He is the strongest man in the world!"
Very childish, and I doubt that. He is just Lv59.. or Lv58 I don't remember. The kid probably can't see the knight, who is standing on the side, is Lv60. But I keep that thought to myself.
"Yeah, he gave me a lot of exp." This was a planned response from me. I look down to see his reaction.
"You.." The kid's entire body is shaking, the corner of his eyes seem to reflect the late sun light. "They said you killed him!" I simply nod. "Why?!"
I slightly glance at the knight to ascertain his location before reaching a paw over to pull him toward me while looking at the kid in the eyes.
"What are you doing?!" He easily resists and asks with slight annoyance in his voice. However, I keep silently pulling him, and he complies.
"Do you know your dad is a Holy knight?" I pause, waiting for his answer but the kid keeps his resentful stare at me. I hope that stare was just my imagination, because dealing with vengeful people are annoying.

"What are you trying to do?" The knight asks again. He doesn't even try to escape my claws wrapping around him. Not that he can't; but for obvious reason, he wouldn't dare to use unnecessary force. And that goes well with my planned presentation.
"Tell me, little Holy Knight.." I keeps my eyes on the kid but I can feel the knight flinch at how I call him. "..Why don't you try to break my grip?.. Are you too weak?" TRIGGERED!
"Non sense!" He angrily grabs my fingers, but before he could apply much force.
"Ouch." I pretend to be hurt with a simple sound, making him retract his grab.
"Ah.. I see what you are trying to do." He says with a slight laugh in his voice. Then suddenly, turning into a solemn voice, he continues. "Holy Knights aren't allowed to hurt the Origin Dragon, even the slightest.." He seems to purposely pause there, but I know there is more to it.
"And?" I lightly shake the knight with my paw, though it feels like shaking a metallic pole nailed to the ground, he hardly moves at all.
"If the Origin Dragon take damage in HP, the cause must be eliminated."
Ah, it's different from what I thought, but it works just fine. The kid's eyes are still unwavering, seemingly not care about what the knight just said.
"Your dad.." I slowly says.
"Felix." The knight interrupts me.
"What?" I lower my voice, releasing him from my weak grip.
"His name was Felix." The knight says again, there is a strange feeling in his voice. Oh right, they're in the same group, so they probably have a deep friendship.
"Right. Felix, your dad, almost killed me, the Origin Dragon, twice." The kid doesn't seem to care about my words. So it's a family of rock-heads. "Don't you get it? I didn't want to kill him; he was condemned to be executed!"
The kid suddenly bursts into tear and crouches down to cry. Yes, this seems to be working! Now drive your resentment away from me and into desire to get stronger!
"You are a terrible monster." The knight says with a sigh. Walking over, he crouches down beside the kid and strokes his head.
I wanted to yell at the knight, but he is right. I'm a monster and I don't really care about it. I am seriously trying to kill a five-to-seven years old kid here. At least that's nothing comparable to the fact that I might doom this world without a second thought.
I silently wait for the kid's sobbing to lessen before I reach my hand over, using my huge index claw's side to 'gently' lifting the child face. Despite my size, my STR aren't too high for me to have to keep it in check.
"Do you want to get stronger?" I look at the kid in his tiny eyes again. "To..."

"Holy!" The knight suddenly exclaims, interrupting my perfect performance, AGAIN.
"What's wrong?" I ask with a frown. The kid breaks eyes contact with me and start wiping his tear. Ah there go my effort to look cool.
"The kid's element is Holy!" The knight is staring at my white finger.
I pull my claws back. Ah darn. Staying with them for too long, I didn't notice how sacred the Holy element is to them.
"Yeah. Is that a big surprise that you have to interrupt me?"
"Hey boy." The knight ignores me. "Do you want to be a Holy Knight?"
"Wait.. no!" This is not the direction I want!
"Didn't you want the kid to get stronger?" The knight asks without looking at me. The kid turns his head to look at the knight.
"Holy.. Knight? Like my dad?" The kid innocently asks.
"No no no!" If the kid becomes a Holy Knight, it would be a real pain. What kind of fanatic thinking they would fill his head? I'd puke if the kid become a sacrifice like that.
Seemingly ignoring the huge dragon next to them, the knight nods, turning the kid into a cheerful boy.
"Yes!" The kid stands up and raises his arms in the sky.
"NO!" In an act of desperation, I swing my claws at the kid but it was easily blocked by the knight's arm.
[11 Exp received!] I don't have the mood to calculate, but it's obviously 1 damage.
"What are you doing?" The knight lightly pushes my claws away.
"Removing future annoyance." I bluntly reply after calming down. Seriously, why did I act like that? I just swung my claws without thinking. Did those holy knights really leave a mental trauma on me? How could it be possible?
"I can't let you do that now. After the kid becomes a Holy Knight, all you need is ask and he will..."
"Shut up!" I interrupt him before he could mention any nausea-inducing word.
The knight stares at me for a moment before leaning down to talk with the now-happy kid. I couldn't hear their words but it's something about the kid's father.. What was his name again?.. Ouch, Down! Conscience! I remembered, it's Felix! Sigh...
I stare at the poor kid who will soon be converted into a fanatic. What could I do to help him retain his innocence and have a normal life before becoming my exp?
"Hey kid, do you want a light show?" I suddenly ask.
The knight looks at me confusedly while the kid thinks for a second before nodding.
"Cough.. Let's see... I am Origo, the Origin Dragon..." I am casting yet another spell, what do you expect? "I command to all Holy element in the human child before me..." I move both my arms forward to cup the kid in my palms.
The kid starts glowing dimly while a few white elemental particles appear around him. It seems there aren't many Holy element energy inside his young body. I consider drawing Earth element energy too, but this might cause the spell to split into two and I couldn't cast two spells in the same chant yet.
"Retain the youthful innocence of this child!"
The light converges on the kid, turning him into a white shining figure. I didn't command this, so it's my DEX shows some progress.. though I still don't want to be a magic-caster because of the next part. The spell's name appear in my mind.
"W..." I almost screw it up by saying 'What?'.
I keep silent for a moment, pondering if I should finish with this spell. Another weird spell is going to be added to my Temporary Skill list. I turned off the notification for it and haven't checked it for awhile, so I don't know how many spells are in there... Ah well, this weirdness won't affect me anyway, so here I go!
"White Angel!" As I speak the spell's name in a higher-than-normal voice, the last ray of sunlight disappears beyond the horizon and the promised light show starts. Just that I don't know how many people will see this show...
Manifold. Astral Realm. Pius's Domain.
A ray of white light streaks across from the realm below. The army of angels in the domain all look at the direction of the light. When the light disappears, only a few white feathers remain and glide down like fallen leaves. Normally, when an angel was created or promoted, it would happen in Pius's Temple. But this time the light is obviously coming from either Material Realm or Ethereal Realm, confusing the angels.
["Send someone to investigate!"] Pius's order echoes in the mind of every angel in the domain. Naturally, as an Inheritor of Energy (Matter), Pius is not omnipresent.
Manifold. Soul Realm.
Vitae stares at the new 'victim' of Origo's random spell casting. Normally people would faint from energy exhaustion if they randomly cast an unknown spell and end up with a spell way out of their league, but that would never be the case for this Dragon. Further more, despite his element-less, he could cast spell like having maximum aptitude in every element.
The white small soul of the kid doesn't show any change, but Vitae knows that Origo just turned this kid into a White Angel. Unlike with Glutton, the Life Goddess didn't have to do anything as Elemental Magic could change race. Primal Life power, Race Change, forcibly changes the 'shell'; while this Holy magic, White Angel, changes the soul by altering minute properties. In this case, Youth and Innocence.
"Poor kid. I hope Pius have mercy on him."

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

Transmigration Retiree
"What's that you say? I can never leave this reality ever? Good!" Ed, was a normal man in a world full of superheroes, so he didn't really have too many complaints when that first truck fell on him. After all he'd read enough comics to know that sometimes things just happen. Besides he'd been getting on in years when it happened, and his life till then, though lonely, had more or less been fully lived. The second time around when that one guy pushed him off a cliff for a chalice of immortal ambrosia, wasn't so cool though, and then there was that third time when he was just getting used to life as a lady, and that crazy goddess showed up out of nowhere and started ranting about purging the demon menace....then some other stuff happened and he briefly got to go back to earth before falling into a coma where he adventured in the world of dreams. Then the aliens came, and the dream ended and he was suddenly stuck being the AI Overmind for the whole damn star systm. The aliens died, and because he was all mechanical and what-not he just kind of had to keep on going. Forced to continue collecting the materials and data from countless worlds that were destoryed in the process. Then there was that whole war with the gods business that followed...mostly because of all that world destroying he did because of some fairly faulty programming. Anyway, thankfully someone pulled a "rocks fall" on that whole curfuffle, because by the time he was in control of himself again, things had long gotten out of hand. Now the powers-that-be tell him that he must spend the rest of his existence in single lonely section of the cosmos. Trapped in a single portion of a single universe. And now he weeps...No worries though, these are tears of joy. Hopefully this final unending existence he's been given will be the quiet life he's been looking for. A Man who's seen everything gets abducted by aliens and is converted into an AI that sits at the helm of a fleet of alien ships and behind the computer systems for most their planets. This Alien AI goes to war with the gods and ends up nearly destroying an entire reality. The Angels condemn the troublemaking AI to life as normal child on a far off world....All truth said, the "AI" couldn't be happier. His life's been far too interesting(read: Scary, Inconvenient and Painful) in his opinion and he could do with a bit of normalcy.
