Currently Hakuya stood in a meeting hall in the JSDF base. His appearance had changed a lot. His long hair was trimmed till above the neckline with his long bangs still intact. His auzure and ruby red eyes were lifeless as usual.
He was wearing a black Navy uniform; A fullsleeve shirt and black trousers with black boots which only went upto the ankle. The belt buckle was made of silver and engraved on it was a symbol.
The ‘Rising Sun’ Used by warlords from almost two milennia ago this symbol was still used as the Ensign of The Imperial navy; The Japanese Maritime Defence Forces.
The Uniform had lines of silver adorning the edges with a large typical Admiral Coat draped on with the collars raised. On his head a typical Navy officer hat was perched. Hakuya had no shiny medals on his uniform since he had just been rdcruited.
Currently he was standing in front of a group of around 100 people who were going to serve under him. He thought of all the worl he would have to do and sighed.
To find out how this happened lets wind time 24 hours back.

A landline rang in a well decorated yet simple office. There were a lot of trophies and models of ships placed on the sleves. The person sitting on the table answered the phone.
“...Sir, Major Soma from Internal Affairs is here to see you...”
A woman dressed in a grey military uniform of a secretary informed her superior through the Intercom; a man in his fifties, dressed in a white navy uniform. He had a slight tanned skin and piercing brown eyes. The uniform had many medals decorated on his uniform showing his expertise in his field of work.
This person was Admiral Of the Fleet Kanoya Shoushi. The highest authority in the Imperial Japanese Navy. A man of a stern and square face. His white hair and well trimmed beard made him look perfect for his post.
“Send him in..” he said in a low tone over the intercom.
After a minute, Soma enterred with a thin professional smile. The Admiral Just gave a slight frown. It was understandable. The Navy as well as the Army and Airforce, though not openly, despised Internal Affairs. They were the dogs of the government doing all the dirty work and sitting behind walled cities while the defence forces died outside.

“So? What do i owe the pleasure of Meeting you here Mr...?” The Admiral asked in a rasped voice trying little to hide his dislike.
“Major Kazehiko Soma. Pleased to make your aquaintence Admiral.” Soma said with a fake smile while shrugging internally.
“Well then, let me skip to the point. Please take a look at this-”
He handed over a sealed envelop containing a file to the Admiral. It was a typical brown parcel paper envelope with the Imperial seal of lac put on it. It had come from high command ; the defence ministry ; directly.
He opened it skeptically. An official order from the Ministry was often troublesome. Reading the contents he raised a brow. Then thundered.
“What is the meaning of this!!!!” Slamming his fist on the table he glared at Soma who still kept his fake smile.
“Exactly what it says Admiral”
“This is blasphemy! You---you want me to hand over the command of.....an entire fleet to A kid! Are you insane!?”
Soma smiled a bit more. “I am afraid I cannot help it Admiral. The ministry decided it.”
“You damn......I will not-” He almost shouted but was cut off by Soma.
“You will have to Admiral. You know that as well.” Soma said in a authorative tone.
“Damn....” the old mand grounded his teeth. It was true. The order was signed by the Honorary President herself. He had to accept the boy....there was no way.
*Ahem* Soma continued. “Now since we are done with this, then let me call him in.... Commander Please come in.”
The admiral Looked at the door that opened. The one who entered was a young boy about of 17 or less in age. His expressionless face was cold beyond measure.
“Please introduce yourself Commander; No ‘Captain’” Soma said stressing the Captain part. Hakuya knew what he meant so he sighed and complied.
“Formerly From the Maritime Self Defence Force’s Northern Force. 787 Special Operations Division; Delta Force; of The Seventh Fleet; Captain Yatogami Hakuya at your service.”
The admiral’s mouth went agape. “D...Delta Force....? How can that be!? That unit was...it...”
“Lets leave it at that Admiral.” The boy’s cold voice shook him to the core. What he said made no sense. But if It were true, then that meant.....

Hakuya on the otherhand went and sat on a sofa gazing out of a window.
“So let me once again confirm This Admiral Kanoya, Captain Hakuya is to be given command of the ‘Seventh Fleet’ after the recent demise of Late Admiral Yoshimizu Haruto.”
The Old man sighed in defeat and nodded.
“Fine....Do as you please...”
“Thats Wondeful Admiral” said Soma getting up “ The required files would be sent by today so please fill the required Paperwork in due time. Then I will be leaving the Captain in your care.”
He got up and began leaving when he turned suddenly and whispered “Whatever you do Admiral, don’t bring up his past, dont do ever do that. Consider It a friendly warning.” With that he left.
“*Sigh* What to do?” Admiral Shoushi looked at the young man who was sitting on the sofa and still looking out of the window. “....its a direct order....but to think they would place a Neo Human as an Admiral...just what aee they upto?” The troubled old man could only sigh.

Back to the present, The Admiral of the Fleet, Admiral Shoushi stepped front to address the gathering of officers.
“Good day ladies and gentlemen. As you have been informed earlier, forty two days ago, Admiral Yoshimizu Haruto crossed the great divide doing his duty till the end. He will be remebered for his service as long as this Navy exists. Then, To fill the vacancy he left, Command has assigned a New admiral to his fleet.” He turned and looked at Hakuya “If you will please step here for the oath.”
Hakuya nodded and walked up to the stage and stood beside the Old Admiral. Many officers were shocked at such a young boy being appointed as an Admiral. They were informed that a new Admiral was being appointed but they had no Idea that it will be a young boy.
The officers mainly consisted of Captains and other higher ranking officers of the fleet. Many wanted to voice out their opositions but no one made a sound. It was a code of respect to the Navy.
“Please Repeat after me....”
Hakuya did as he was told. His sweet yet icy voice resounded across the hall as he took the oath.
“I, Yatogami Hakuya, hereby do solemnly swear and affirm that I will support and defend the motherland and her people against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter. I will do my duty regardless of day or weather, friend or foe, peace or war; Till I cross the great divide or the motherland no longer requires my service.”
Shoushi nodded and proceeded.
“By the authority entrusted to me, I hereby appoint one Yatogami Hakuya as Admiral to the seventh fleet. May you forever defend the Motherland.”
With a round of applause the officers though doubtfull and skeptic, accepted the New Admiral.
Hakuya was urged to say a few words so he reluctantly did.
“Good day ladies and Gentlemen. Thank you for your presence here. As I have been just appointed the Admiral of the Seventh fleet I know little about It. So I hope you will all help me. I hope we can work together with the least possible problems. Thank you.”
With this he descended from the stage while many people glared at him. He ignored them and moved on. He had work to do. Work his friend had entrusted him with.
Fate laughed at the puny humans. For its plans had been smoothly moving.
And hence started the tale of a legend. Life-forms will rise and regimes would fall. Who would perish? Who would prevail? Only time would tell.

Up In Space
New chapter every other day Iain Compton never planned to be abducted by an alien spaceship. It just… happened. And now he’s been awakened 22,000 years in the future and half a galaxy away by a pair of oddly human seeming beak nosed aliens and a space ship A.I. that seems to have more than a few screws loose. Oh, and then there's this gorgeous alien woman who he probably shouldn’t trust at all. His plan is to find a way home to Earth, even if its unlikely to be remotely the same; to find a better class of companions among an often strange and inexplicable galactic community, at least one who won’t use him or sell him out at the first opportunity; and to do something about the parasites in his brain who are supposed to connect him to a library the size of the galaxy, but seem to only be telling him that almost everyone and everything he comes across wants to kill him. But at least he can still send tweets.
