《NO STRINGS ATTACHED》CH. 74

It took some time but slowly but surely, Shen's reserve failed him. First, he couldn't maintain one limb, then two...Then he was stuck limbless. Sitting on his ass with nothing but his trunk left, he looked at the army surrounding him, still strong in numbers.
It was the end.
As he awaited death, all attacks stopped and everyone retreated except two beings who went forward. Da On Kai and the Karvu who took his last arm.
They looked condescendingly at him from a high.
He didn't even care anymore. As one who lived this long only to die here, he wasn't feeling anger or despair. Even though he had feared dying for so long, now that he faced it, he was calm. It wasn't a calm that he expected but he knew why it was so. He was tired of living after all these eons. The cumulative tiredness of all his predecessors was weighing him down to the point that he felt calm and relaxed awaiting his last breath.
As he thought so, he felt Da On Kai's magic in the ground. From it, a rock sculpture began to rise behind him, then under him. He was now sitting on a part of it. As he looked behind him, at the sculptue, he couldn't help his lips but curl upwards slightly. It was so childish... That sculpture was that of a turd.
Da On Kai: A fitting gravestone for the shitty you, wouldn't you say?
Shen laughed.
And as he did, three giant beams of light descended not far. They descended exactly at the place where Da On Kai had placed the world's entrance coordinates to trap Shin in his encirclement.
From the first beam exited a male being. He looked like a humanoid snake in armor and had a cross-shaped dark sword with dancing snaked engravings upon it.

From the second beam exited another male being. He was tall and bulky with a tight fitting blue armor, a red cape, and a giant metallic hat upon his head. That red copper hat was flat except for the fire-sculpture upon it. He had a giant sword in one hand supporting it with his shoulder. The sword's handle was pure silver while the blade itself was of a flaming crytal-like orange with a very simple engraving of single symbol in its middle. A symbol that meant fire in the language of the man.
From the third beam exited a woman being. She was wearing an armor of gold and black that showcased her curvy and perfect forms. Her hair was a pale blue cascading down while her face was of the palest white. She had an ornamented curved blade on one hand and a similar shield on the other.
While Shen and Da On Kai did not recognize them, the Karvu general did and he was tembling like a leaf. Da On Kai noticed it and asked him:
Da On Kai: Who are they?
General Kir: Legendary Mercenary Wurm, Universe Jailer Taîna and Fireflame Archbishop Ash.
As the words were said, Da On Kai began to fear too. His previous happy expression taking a turn for the worse. He grabbed Shen by the neck and screamed:
Da On Kai: Is it you?! Did you call for them?!
Shen chuckled but didn't answer. It was better to let him make his own deductions. After all, Shen called no one.
The arriving trio looked at each other and they realized they were teammates. They didn't quite understand how or why it was so or even why they knew...But they did. The woman turned towards the battlefield and quickly spotted the trio in the middle of the forces.

She spoke first:
Taïna: This one is the loser and this one the mastermind...Obviously, the Karvus are extras. Can you guys handle those?
The other two nodded and she disappeared upon herself. Only to reappear next to Dai On Kai. She did not even speak before she slashed down at him still with a smile on her beautiful face.
Da On Kai was not a weakling though and managed to block her slash with a fist of his own. That being said, he was forced back a few meters.
One of the woman's eyebrow rose in excited surprise. There weren't many beings who could even block one of her slash. The battle might be interesting. As she was getting ready for her second slash, General Kir was readying his own sword, prepared to cut her down.
However, before he could, he had to defend the incoming slash of someone else. A cross-shaped sword was falling down on him with true might. As he deflected it, its wielder used the momentum of the reflect to slash it upwards this time. Forced to block this time, general Kir was sent flying hundreds of meters away.
A being with the head of a snake looked at Shen, then at Taîna. He said:
Wurm: I will take care of this one fissssssh.
Then, he jumped and disappeared in the direction of the general.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Ash hadn't moved from his usual position. He was sighing. As he looked up at the suns, he solemnly spoke:
Archbishop Ash: The eagerness of youth...*sigh*...I guess this old man shall take care of the rest.
He activated his own Domain.
Archbishop Ash: Bonfire.
All over the world, giant bonfire of ten meters of height appeared magically.
The Archbishop walked with silent steps forwards under the gaze of thousands of Karvus. He spoke:
Archbishop Ash: Amithaba. From the fire were the worlds birthed and from the fire it shall be destroyed.
As he finished, a Magical power like no other was emitted from him then echoed by all bonfires accross the world. And then, fire spilled from them infinitely. His lips curled upwards, his arms spread open and his fantical voice echoed:
Archbishop Ash: Great World Purification through Fire!
As he walked forward, he began to smell a particularly enticing odor...
Archbishop Ash: Amithaba. The best fish is indeed fried fish.

There were no boundaries, it was endless, nothing to indicate that there was something within the distance. He grasped his hands and looked upwards towards the sky as he lifted his hands up. A dark void appeared in front of him, but only to disappear once again. Voices entered his thoughts, pain struck his head, he gripped onto his hair and groaned in agony. He looked forward and saw an image blurred in front of him, fading in and out. “Young one... “ the blurred image simply spoke. The young boy didn’t say anything and only looked down at his wound on his chest. It was a large gaping hole that passed through him, however there was no blood spilling out from it, the veins and arteries only dangled in place where a heart was supposed to be. Realising the cause of this scene the boy asked. “Am… I dead?” “Hahaha, no not at all.” A wispy tired voice simply chuckled “Then… what do you want with a dead man… but my hands...boy?” “ Well Do you…” “Do I?” “Want to change fate?” Welcomed edits and suggestions.
