《Strongest Fish-Man》Chapter 14: Age of Chaos

Esdeath woke up on the softest bed she had slept on in years. She looked around and noticed that she was in an unfamiliar room. It took her a minute to remember what had happened before all was clear to her.
She checked out her body and noticed that it was bandaged in several places. Esdeath looked out the open window and saw that the sun was in the middle of the sky unlike what she had last remembered.
'So I've been sleeping for at least 3 hours.'
Esdeath had not woken up for so long due to the force behind Kisame's blows. She got several hits to her body but the one that truly knocked her out was a heavy blow to the head.
The girl got off the bed and did some light stretches before leaving the room.
"Damn, brat! You've grown some balls, huh?!?!"
"You knew this day was coming soon enough. I just need a ship now."
Esdeath could hear the sound of two people arguing on the floor below her. Taking the stairs down, she walked into a bar and saw the fish-man who had beaten her arguing with a much older man who appeared to be in his 50s.
Rayleigh looked very agitated while Kisame and Shakky were calmly drinking some tea. It was Shakky who noticed that Esdeath had arrived and was waiting on the stairs.
"Come on down. These two are just having a friendly discussion. No need to be scared," Shakky said as she beckoned for Esdeath to join them.
Esdeath walked down and stairs and sat two seats away from Kisame. Not too close but also not too far away.
"I'm not scared. I just prefer not to get involved in things that do not benefit me," Esdeath responded to Shakky before turning her attention to Kisame. "What were you two arguing about?"

Just like when she had met him in the arena, Kisame was shirtless once again. The only difference was that his body had several bandages on it.
'To be able to beat my Devil Fruit so easily means this guy is good. Although if I had my sword and had been allowed to train my Haki, I'm sure I could have taken him down,'
"I plan to become a pirate. I have been waiting for a decent crew but my standards are, apparently, way too high for a rookie such as myself. So I was already prepared to head out on my own after getting a ship," Kisame said all in one breath. Then he pointed his finger at Esdeath.
"Then I met you. You have excellent strength already and your potential is also pretty good. So I figured that we could help each other out. You become a member of my crew for 3 years while I keep your slave contract in hand so no one tries to hunt you down from your old nation."
Esdeath looked at Kisame in the eye for a few moments. Kisame did not interrupt her or look away. He knew that she was searching for his eyes for something, although he did not know what.
After a minute, she agreed, "First tell me what your goal is. Is it the One Piece like many other pirates?"
Shakky and Rayleigh were also listening from the side and wanted to know the answer. Rayleigh had personally trained Kisame for 2 years but even he did not know what the boy's goals were besides become a pirate on the level of the 3 emperors.
Hearing what she asked, Kisame could not help chuckling before he starting laughing more than he ever had before.

Once he composed himself, he gave them all an answer that none of them had expected.
"I don't want anything much. I just want to burn down the current world and rebuild it anew. Into a true era of freedom.
The Celestial Dragons and World Government sit at the top of their mountain but do not dare come down here and prove superiority. They allow marines born down here to do their work for them.
I will destroy the Red Line, crush the marines, strip the nobles of their titles, and throw the world into chaos. When all that is done, I want everyone to fight for their place in the world. If they were truly that strong, I want to see them rise back up once again.
I want to create a world free of order and chaos since chaos is what will allow the order. A world without the concept of war and peace because they will know nothing but battle.
No evil or justice. No one will be a slave based on where they were born or their race. In my ideal world, there will be only one rule. Survival of the fittest."
When Kisame first started speaking, a light appeared in Esdeath's eyes. And with every other sentence, the light grew and grew.
'This is it! This is someone who understands. The weak do not deserve to make the laws or be in command. Let them prove themselves strong before they try to impose their will onto others.'
Rayleigh and Shakky were looking on from the side with shock in their eyes. Kisame's plan sounded completely and utterly insane.
But it was also the dream of most pirates. It was a system that allowed them to have freedom without worry about the world government. They would no longer have to be content with the small nations in the 4 seas but could aim for larger ones or even enter the Grand Line.
Looking at Kisame, Rayleigh did not know how he should feel about the situation.
' Would Captain look forward to a world like that or despise it? Who am I kidding! That old fool might have killed Kisame due to the number of casualties that will occur due to his goal,' Rayleigh thought before drinking out of a bottle of beer. Unknown to him, his hands were shaking slightly.
'But. I have to admit that this sounds like a pretty fun time. I kind of want this brat to pull it off.'
Esdeath stood up from her seat before extending her hand towards Kisame, "No need for 3 years. If you give me the position of first-mate, I will be your loyal second-in-command until the day you die. Which I'm sure will happen before the day I die."
Kisame took her hand in his and shook it vigorously, "Welcome to the Samsara Pirates, First-mate Esdeath."
Like many other stories of legend, it would begin without the eyes of many others seeing it. But the very scene would be the start of a new era.
No longer the Age of Pirates but the Age of Chaos!

Child of the Ancients: An Apocalypse LitRPG
It all started in the middle of Dante's nap. He wanted to sleep his life away, but the system denied his request. Instead, it began to transform the Earth, integrating it into the multiverse by granting everyone stats and skills. He was talented, or so the system thought. And that meant he needed to be challenged. After being sent into a deadly cavern, Dante strives for the future he's always desired. But when he learns about the secrets hidden within him, he's shaken to his very core. He wishes for the nightmare to end until something goes wrong. [The world will end in one year.] Instead of everyone receiving a relatively gentle tutorial, the people of Earth are deemed redundant. Dante makes it his goal to save as many people as he can before the world ends, but with billions of lives at stake, he might have to turn into a monster before he can become a hero. Planned updates (2500+ words): M/W/F. 12pm AEST/ 9am EST. M-F during Writeathon. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: All system apocalypse novels seem to jump straight over the apocalypse itself, which I find very sad. I don't want this to turn into a typical fantasy novel in about ten chapters. Instead, I hope to explore the destruction of society and how things would look if superpowers suddenly appeared in the real world. Before the real apocalypse happens, of course. There will be base building, and likely romance once things settle down. Also dragons, because they are awesome :)
