The Drow Species - Lore chapter
The Creation story of the Drow:
The accepted theory is that thousands years ago at the dawn of the elven race one of the 7 clans of the Elves was either banished or left by their own choice they were the Drow. Either way they decided that they would travel underground once there they started to fight with the first dwarfs who had also recently started to walk the earth. The dwarfs were winning against the Drow but at the final battle a clan of dwarfs known as Clan Duergar betrayed their dwarven brothers and turned the battle into two fronts for the dwarfs with the Drow on one side, the loyal dwarfs in the middle and the Duergar on the other side. The battle however ended in the defeat of the Drow and Duergar due to the legendary dwarven king Tormund Stonebreaker. He rallied the Dwarves and was able to kill the Duergar leader who was his own brother he had turned on him for greed. After the battle the Duergar and Drow survivors fled deep underground where after centuries their appearance started to drastically change. After centuries underground the Drow’s golden hair turned white or black, their skin turned dark or dark purple. Nobody knows how the change happened many think it was the lack of sunlight and the cruelty of these races that turned them to reflect their rotten insides.
The Drow people:
The Drow are the “Evil” cousins of the “mighty” High elves and the “Wild” Forest Elves.
The Drow or as they are ignorantly known by the younger races as “Dark elves” this name is considered a gross oversimplification of their name but since the younger races like the Humans are generally considered stupid by all elves the word Dark elves or High elves are generally accepted by elven kind as sufficient.

The Drow are a longed lived species like the other elves they can live up to 900 or more years. Some Dark elves are known to have found mysterious ways to keep themselves alive beyond their natural age like preforming spirit transfer or drinking elixirs of youth.
It takes about 100 years for a Drow to be considered an adult but their bodies are fully grown at 50.
The drow possess several racial advantages like Dark vision or enhanced agility they also possess a sort of stone sense like the dwarfs that let them orient themselves underground better.
The Drow Society:
Drow are treacherous and cruel creatures their society is based on two things first betrayal the nobles of the empire are always looking for their next step on the ladder and will push anyone off it to get there first. The other thing that fuels the Drow society are slaves without slaves the Drow would crumble. Every aspect of their government, religion and empire is tied with slavery like a pregnant mother is tied to her unborn child.
The Drow Religion:
The Drow worships Calypso the Shadow queen who is the patron god of the Drow. And their protector while there are cults in Drow society that worships different gods other than Calypso like her children Erebus the god of Murder and sacrifice or Cerberus the god of blood and vampires. There is a priesthood of Calypso in the great temple of shadows somewhere In the Drow Empire.

Museum of Deadly Beasts
Lin Jin never imagined he would ever transmigrate. And to such a peculiar world at that. Here, deadly beasts were regarded as sacred, and thankfully, he owned a museum for deadly beasts. “Master, this is just a dying little tortoise…” “What tortoise? This is a rare species that contains the blood of a Black Tortoise and could be promoted up to level seven.” “What about this shedding mongrel?” “Mongrel? How narrow-minded. This is a branch descendant of the snarling hound with a hint of Kirin’s blood. Take my word for it and sign the blood contract at once. I guarantee you that you’ll soar to success and be on your path to invincibility!”

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.
