The morning went by without any problem. A simple breakfast consisting of some stew and hard bread alongside an explanation from Mia to Lilith. Aurora apologised and Lilith inspected her shoulder to make sure she was alright. After that they packed up and began walking again.

“Lilith, I have been wondering. Last night my wound healed super fast so I was thinking to check out exactly how strong I am”

“That sounds like a good idea… But we won’t be checking your regeneration!”

Lilith wouldn’t allow Aurora to hurt herself and the mere thought of doing it herself made her want to puke. Her family? Out of the question, if any of them dared harm a single hair of Aurora Lilith would punish them harshly.

Like that, the training plan had been set. First, A stamina check, all of them began jogging while slowly increasing the speed. By the five minute mark they were already running at about twenty kilometers an hour. Another five minutes and that speed had doubled. To Aurora’s surprise she felt absolutely fine.

Ten minutes later they had quadrupled their speed, their initial running speed. At this point, Aurora began feeling like she needed to put a bit of effort to keep up. However, if she were to compare the feeling to before she became sick it would be akin to a light jog.

Another ten minutes later and the group was zooming by the scenery at a wapping two hundred kilometers an hour. At this point Aurora began feeling tired. Her body had become far stronger than before. However, it was still in a weakened state. If she were to train her body properly, keeping up with this speed would be easy.

Noticing Aurora’s condition, Lilith decided to keep this speed instead of continuing to accelerate. To tell the truth, she was quite amazed that Aurora could reach this speed. Lilith herself was feeling a bit tired, but this wasn’t her max speed. If she were to go all out she could double her current speed, however that would drain her of a lot of energy.

A while later everyone slowed down back to walking speed. Aurora was out of breath as her heart pounded loudly in her chest. However, for her, this feeling of exhaustion was the best. She had been laying in bed for so long that she had forgotten how moving around felt. Now that she had done proper exercise she felt alive.

“How are you feeling. If you are tired we can take a break”

“I feel great! and no need, I only need to get my breathing in order”

With that exchange between the two girls they continued walking. A while later Aurora asked to continue the testing. Because of this everyone stopped walking and dove into the nearby plains. There were many boulders of different sizes thrown about in the place, perfect for a strength check.

“Okay, choose one and try to lift it. If you can’t choose a smaller one. If you can choose a bigger one. We will do it like that until we find one that is at about your limit”

“Hm!”

With excitement Aurora chose a rather big boulder. If it were to be made into a perfect cube the thing would be about two meters cubed, its weight about five tons. With a bit of difficulty Aurora managed to lift the boulder. The difficulty came in where to grab the rock from and not its weight.

“Wow this is amazing!”

Aurora expected to not be able to lift the thing. She had thought she had picked one too big yet she wanted to give it a try. To her surprise, the boulder didn’t feel that heavy. She tried to guess how much more she might be able to lift and guess about twice this one.

Looking around there were very few rocks larger than this one. After a short look around, Aurora spotted the largest boulder around and decided to give it a try. This one was four times the size of the first, its weight a crushing twenty-four tons! This time lifting the thing proved a challenge, But after a few tries Aurora managed to lift it.

Her arms shook under the weight of the boulder. Aurora was barely able to keep the thing off the ground. After a few seconds she couldn’t keep up anymore and the giant thing crashed on the ground with a loud noise.

“Amazing, I don’t think I could lift that!”

“Really?”

Lilith was astonished by Aurora’s strength. If Aurora’s transformation into her werewolf form were to strengthen her further she could easily punch a hole in a town’s wall. The two chatted happily while theorising. In the end they came to the conclusion that Lilith was far faster than Aurora while Aurora was far stronger than Lilith.

“We make a great team together!”

“Yeah, come on let’s get going. We should be really close after our running”

Lilith was right. Even though they had deviated into the plains and wasted some time chatting and testing Aurora’s strength, the distance they gained with their sprint could easily cover for that and more.

An hour later the group reached a wooden gate. This village had a wooden wall to fend against monsters. However, the crop fields were outside the walls and were susceptible to raids from wild animals and monsters.

“Hello there, what might be the reason for these young girls to come visit our humble village?”

“Hello there, we came for the subjugation request!”

Aurora was the one doing the talking with the gate guard. It had been decided that since this was her first request she would be in charge so she could enjoy it to the fullest. The guard is a young man, his body is covered by leather armour and a spear in hand. His face is rather good looking with light brown hair and eyes, some stubble adorned his face.

“I see, well I do hope you girls can deal with it. That thing has been causing us a lot of trouble and there aren’t enough guards actually try and hunt it down”

“Don’t worry, we may look like this but we are actually really strong!”

Like that they continued to chat for a while. Aurora asked about the behavioral patterns of the boar as well as a place for them to stay the night. By the way, the name of this guard is Harry and he is a volunteer. The payment for being a guard in this village is rather low. However, Harry has a strong sense of duty and wants to protect the village.

After collecting the information she wanted the group entered the village and walked towards it’s only inn. The place looked less like an inn and more like a normal house. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t really an inn per say. The owner is an old lady who’s husband has already passed away. She makes a living by selling lunch boxes and reting the empty rooms in her house.

The place is rather cheap in price but that is to be expected. The village is rather small, so there are very few if any commodities at all. Add to that the fact that travelers rarely come to this place and you have a recipe for a cheap room at this lady’s house.

“Okay, so the boar tends to appear at night. The fields are rather large so we will have to divide into three groups. This way one of us should encounter the boar”

“In that case I will be with Aurora”

“Lilith, that won’t work. We can’t leave two of your monster family members alone. Who knows how the villagers might react”

“In that case I suggest a Aurora to go with Shadow, Lilith with Silver and I will be with Sapphire”

“Fine”

With that out of the way they decided to go around the village since it was still early. The scenery was rather nice. simple dirt roads and wooden houses adorned the place. A small, shallow river ran through a corner of the village. Flowers bloomed near the river making it a spectacular sight. Outside the village alongside the river the wheat farms looked like a bed of gold.

Some of the wheat fields had traces of being trampled and eaten, the handy work of the boar that they had to hunt down. Aside from that, the calming atmosphere of the place made it the perfect spot for retirement.

After their stroll around the time for lunch had finally arrived. Going back to the quote on quote inn, they had lunch prepared by the old lady. To tell the truth the lady had a godly hand when it came to cooking. Despite having very common ingredients and few types of seasoning the meal was delish.

A rather small piece of grilled meat with salt in between a pair of soft buns, some lettuce and a sauce made from a wild fruit made the sandwich be flavourful. The meal was satisfying and there was still a lot of free time before night fell. Lilith still felt a little tired from yesterday so they decided to take a nap in their room.

“Hey Lilith, About this morning”

“ah? about t-that I-”

“Its fine, you caught me by surprise but, if you want to, you know… I wouldn’t be against it”

At that moment Lilith’s mind went blank a string of blood began flowing out of her nose. The way Aurora had said that with red cheeks and soft voice. Her mind was going crazy with memories of that morning. Her body began desiring a repeat of those events. However, she resisted with all her might.

“Aurora I-I wasn’t feeling well but… I also want to be closer with you. Let's not rush things and take our time”

“I see, even so… I-”

Their eyes met. Desire written all over their gases. Slowly as if their movements had been perfectly choreographed they embraced each other. Their faces so close to each other they could feel the other’s breath.

“What am I going to do with you”

With that said Lilith closed the gap by a little more. At that moment Aurora couldn’t take the embarrassment any more. She closed her eyes, and waited for their lips to meet. Instead she felt something soft on her cheek. Opening her eyes Aurora saw Lilith giving her a soft peck on the cheek.

“Let’s stay like this for a while okay”

“Hm”

What Aurora didn’t know was that Lilith had the intention to take her lips. However, the embarrassment had forced her to do something else. Had their lips actually touched who knew if either would be able to control themselves afterwards.
