Lilith’s Pov

Why is my heart beating so fast! Even now I can’t help but think about Aurora. It has already been a few hours since we left. Despite the pain I felt in my heart when leaving, I knew that if we stayed any longer I wouldn’t be able to control myself. She was just too cute, and her fluffy ears are so soft and nice to the touch. I need to calm down and think about anything else.

Okay so, we still have a bunch of mana grass we can sell for a good amount of money. We could also go out hunting for more blood. Or I could just go back and play with her ears for a bit more… I am thinking of that again! I just can’t get her out of my mind. I felt so strange when she caressed my cheek. I just felt happy from the bottom of my heart.

“Mia, we are going back to the in. I need to rest for a while to clear my mind”

“I understand, but didn’t you say that we should keep to normal social behavior to mix with this town people? I believe you didn’t want to stand out so we wouldn’t be found out”

“It doesn’t matter now, moreover no one will say a thing if its only one day so lets go”

Yes my plan was to sleep the rest of the day away. Maybe by tomorrow my mind will be clear again. I doubt it though but it is worth a try. Thankfully as we walked I managed to distract myself from time to time. Like buying some tasty food that we didn’t really need or looking at the scenery.

In the end we managed to reach the inn. I say it like that because my mind took every chance it had to redirect my thoughts back to Aurora. When we ate food I wondered if she would like it. When we looked at the scenery I wanted to have her by my side to enjoy it together.

I think a single day without her is my limit. I will go visit her again tomorrow. I know I said I wanted to sleep to clear my mind of her but that is impossible. The longer I spend apart from her the more I long for her. Agh whatever, I will just fall asleep now and bring her gifts tomorrow.

Night fell after I slept the day away. After drinking some blood we had stored I wanted to continue sleeping. However something hit the window. It wasn’t loud, but before I could think about what it was the sound came again and after a while there it was again.

“Let me deal with this master”

With that Mia walked towards the window before opening it. At that moment a familiar sent assaulted my nose. I was still sleepy so I hadn’t noticed it before, but now that more of it could pass through I instantly recognised it. Without waiting a single second I dashed out the window landing outside in the alleyway.

“Aurora is that you? What are you doing here? You should be resting”

As I said that I tried walking towards the cloaked figure in front of me. I couldn’t see her face but her scent was something that I could never forget. Wild yet soft and amicable. Like flowers during a heavy rain. When I approached she instantly walked back. That made my heart ache. I didn’t understand what was going on but my instincts were screaming for me to embrace her.

“Lilith, I did something horrible. I don’t know where to go or what to do. You are the only one I can think of right now so please, promise me you won’t get scared or run way”

Her voice was at the verge of tears. It also sounded slightly different, wilder. However, I didn’t care, I wanted to comfort her but I know that if I tried she would distance herself again.

“I promise, no matter what I won’t run. I will stay by your side and help you in whatever way I can”

I smiled and offered my hand to her. Then she took off the hood that covered her head. Beneath it was a surprising sight. Her beautiful face had turned into a furry snout like that of a wolf. Her hands covered in fur with sharp claws at the end. I could guess the rest of her was in a similar state.

Even though any other person would see her as a monster right now I couldn’t help but find her extremely beautiful. The reddish brown fur that adorned her body was the same as her hair colour. Her eyes became gold unlike their previous blue. At this point I couldn’t contain myself anymore.

In an instant I dashed forward and hugged Aurora. Her intoxicating scent made my head fuzzy. Her soft fur caressed my skin sending a pleasant sensation across my body. I simply didn’t want to let go of her, ever. But I had to break the hug. After all, the tip of her claws were dyed red with blood just like her snout.

“It's fine Aurora, please tell me what happened”

At that moment her eyes became moist as tears began flowing uncontrollably. I hugged her again and let her cry her eyes out. I don’t know how long it took for her to calm down. After all, each sob resonated in my soul as my instincts demanded for me to take revenge on whoever made her cry. It took all I had to stay put and wait until finally.

“I killed my brother. When he woke up we began talking. I told him about how you had saved me but he denied it all. He said that you were the reason why I almost died. He said a bunch of awful things about you. I couldn’t take it. Anger rose within me until I snapped. Then I turned into this thing. I couldn’t control myself. My memories after that are a bit fuzzy but I understand that I killed and ate him. I am a monster”

“Aurora, you are not a monster. You are just different. Like me, we are both different. That doesn’t mean we are inherently evil or monsters”

Her eyes became watery again as I said that. She hugged me again and cried a bit more before falling asleep. I carefully picked her up and jumped back into my room. Mia had seen everything from the window so she didn’t say a word.

After that I didn’t feel like sleeping anymore and instead looked out the window. The two moons shone in the sky with their beautiful glow. One red, the other blue. I spent a good while looking at them in the sky before going back onto the bed. Only then did I realise that Aurora was sleeping on it.

My heart became frenetic at the sight of her lying there. She was so defenseless, I could do anything I wanted with her right now and she wouldn’t be able to resist. I quickly shook my head to drive those dark thoughts away. However, I couldn’t push all of them away. In the end I laid next to her wrapping my arms around her soft body. She was warm and comfortable to the point I instantly fell asleep with a smile on my face.

The next morning I opened my eyes to a sleeping face right in front of me. Aurora’s beast form was gone and her softly tanned skin greeted my eyes. Our faces were so close that our lips were mere inches apart. Her scent tickled my nose tempting me to close the gap. Her soft breathing sent shivers down my spine of desire as it carased my skin.

I couldn’t help myself and began stroking her soft ears. No sooner did I start than a pair of blue eyes stared back at me. Finally my mind cleared out and I came to my senses as our cheeks flared up a deep shade of red. In a panic I tried moving away from Aurora only to fall off the bed.

“Sorry, I shouldn’t have done that”

I quickly stood up apologising to find Aurora covering her bright red face with her hands. Her complexion looked far better than yesterday. Her bony body now had some flesh to it. Which made her even more beautiful to my eyes. A dark desire awakened in me at that moment. I wanted to see more of this cute Aurora.

I moved closer to her, before long I had taken into my embrace as I gently stroke her tail. Soft moans would escape her lips from time to time. Bringing me a sort of sadistic pleasure I couldn’t understand. To tell the truth I am not sure for how long we stayed like this until the both of us were satisfied.

As we separated a slightly awkward silence fell in the room. Until Silver and co couldn’t take it anymore. They jumped on the bed and began acting spoiled wanting to be stroked and petted too. The both of us laughed so I took the brush off the nightstand and began brushing them.

“Lilith, are this your pets? They are super cute”

“You could put it like that but they are more like family to me. You can pet them too you know”

As those words fell Shadow walked towards Aurora wanting to be spoiled by her. In no time Aurora’s hands began stroking at Shadows fur gently. For some reason I couldn’t help but feel jealous wanting to be the one being spoiled by her. Really these instincts and feelings are something I can’t understand. We barely know each other yet I feel so close to her.

No sooner did I finish brushing everyone’s fur did Aurora sit next to me placing her tail on my lap. Her eyes show an array of emotions, from embarrassment to expectation. I couldn’t help but chuckle as I began brushing her tail. However, I was planning on asking her to brush my hair as well. When it did happen I felt supreme bliss. I truly wish days like this one would continue.
