《A Side Villain’s Ballad.》012 Thinking

Neidr had been through a lot since he got here, he smiled as he looked at Cito's body. His eyes lit up and he said,
"Finally, some time to think."[Neidr] Ever since he came to this world, he had experienced nothing but strife. Although, he had to admit that everything up to this point was his fault. He had thought himself clever, trying to escape to Rotham as quickly as possible. He had left a note, but had done nary another thing. After all, how could he explain the changes in his personality to his family? Neidr assumed after some time in Rotham the changes would explain themselves away. He could act however he liked here anyway, nobody knew the previous owner of the body.
Neidr just needed to do what he was best at now. Skirt by with nary a consequence. He had never had many grand ambitions, so being a noble was a welcome surprise to him. Especially the rank, the lower, the better. Who would fight with him for a backwoods territory? All he had to do was graduate this school and go back to live the rest of his life in ease.
However, Neidr scrunched his face. The death of Cito Mors was problematic. Although, that old fogey told Neidr and Arrieta they were the last to arrive, Neidr knew the truth. The protagonist would be transferred into the school shortly. It wasn't that the grumpy ol d man was trying to lie to him, rather, he didn't know. Higher ups had pulled some strings to pull this kid in. Well, that wasn't important.
Cito Mors was supposed to be his foil. The protagonist starts out naive, but his roommate Cito Mors cures him of that. This character was a huge factor in the increasingly gritty personality of the protagonist. Now, he was gone. Neidr stared at the corpse and began to think, would the protagonist's path change because of this? Then his mind circled back, Cito Mors was the Protag's roommate, right? Then...

'Won't the protagonist be rooming with me then?'
"Goddamn it."[Neidr] Neidr shook his head, it wasn't time to be thinking of such trivial things. Although, Rotham was lax, it wasn't really kill your roommate lax. If he disappeared, they wouldn't look into it, but don't make it obvious. Neidr proceeded to stomp and crush Mors's bones. Bored, Neidr began to hum a tune using the backdrop of crunching bones as a beat. Only satisfied once it felt as though there were no more bones to break, Neidr emptied a bag, and stuffed the corpse into it. Zipping it up, he made his way back to the portal. Aside from his thought about how to deal with the future, Neidr was in a relatively good mood as he walked down the aisles with a bag hanging on his back. His footsteps felt light, and he had the urge to sing, but that was soon sucked back into his subconscious.
"00960, I've been lookin' all over for ya!"[Arrieta] Neidr stiffened for a moment,
'who the hell is looking for me?' Turning around, he saw Arrieta's familiar face.
'Shit, woman, don't you have better things to do than track me down? I'm kinda busy.'
"Ah, Arrieta, how is the Academy treating you?"[Neidr] She squinted her eyebrows for a second, but then broke out in a smile,
"Real good, you?"[Arrieta] Neidr responded automatically,
"Good."[Neidr] Arrieta slapped his shoulder and said,
"I was kinda rude last time, everthin' happening, forgot to ask yer name."[Arrieta] Neidr threw a casual glance at her, and merely replied,
"Oh, is that so?" [Neidr] Arrieta furrowed her brows again, but then smiled,
"Yep, yep, so, what is it?"[Arrieta]
"What is what?"[Neidr] Arrieta stomped her foot on the floor and yelled,

"Your name, what's your name, dammit!?"[Arrieta] Neidr couldn't hold back a chuckle at that outburst, he calmly responded,
"You didn't have to yell, just ask next time."[Neidr]
"I did and you know it!"[Arrieta] Neidr gave out a low chuckle and said,
"My name is Neidr."[Neidr]
"That's a weird name."[Arrieta] Neidr rolled his eyes at her and said,
"You asked."[Neidr] Arrieta ignored him and changed the topic,
"Whatcha doin?"[Arrieta] Neidr half wanted to annoy this girl further, but didn't really want her hanging around too much.
"I'm going to Rotham to throw something away."[Neidr] Arrieta tilted her head, and said,
"You don't have to go that far."[Arrieta] She pointed towards a trashcan in the hallway. Niedr's lip twitched,
"It's quite personal for me, I don't want anyone to see. It's embarrassing."[Neidr] Arrieta threw on a sly expression and said,
"Oh, what is it? Love letters?"[Arrieta] Neidr threw a contemplative glance towards her and said,
"Yeah, something like that, but there is metal too. I'd like to melt it."[Neidr] Arrieta's face turned red and she said,
"Aren't those important memories for you?"[Arrieta] Neidr contemplated for a bit and said,
"They were." [Neidr]Arrieta nodded her head as if she understood and run up in front of him. She waved at him, urging him forward and said,
"Follow me, I know a good place."[Arrieta] Neidr decided to oblige the girl and followed her for ten minutes when they came across a circular room. It had eight entrances and only a deep abyss like hole in the center surrounded by a small fence. Arrieta ran forward, grabbed the railing and looked down. She said in a low voice,
"My roommate showed me this, it's super-duper handy for getting rid of things.
"[Arrieta] Her arms started to shake , but she continued to look into the pit. After a moment of silence, she turned around with a smile on her face and said,
"At least that's what I was told. Apparently, the school has cast a continuous fire magic in the hopes of getting to the bottom of the tower, but that's just hearsay."[Arrieta] Walking up the hole, Neidr could feel the heat. Looking down, he could see the scorched black walls that descended thousands of feet, ending in a dark blue fire seemingly trying to eat its way further into the abyss. Neidr smiled and threw the bag into the pit. He looked over to Arrieta and said,
"Many thanks, I owe you a couple of favors now. Ask for anything within reason and within my capabilities." [Neidr]Arrieta puffed up her cheeks and said,
"That wasn't very smooth, what a ladies man you turned out to be."[Arrieta]
"It wasn't supposed to be."[Neidr]
'Oh, I said that out loud.'

The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.

Labyrinthia's Maze
I had always found the idea of “Other Worlds” stupid. Magic wasn’t real. Even if it was the chance of someone spiriting away someone form a world without magic to a world with seemed utterly stupid. After all, what good would a tech geek do in a world of Dungeons and Dragons. Well, jokes on me, I guess. As I was about to log out of the NVR game I have been obsessing over for over 8 years, I blacked out. Next thing I know I am now living as my in game avatar in another world. Only I am now back to scratch, no more giant 200 floor dungeon, no more army of minions and traps, just me and a small room in the ground. Luckily, I have all I need to slowly rebuild my dungeon, I only hope I live long enough to do so. Who sent me here, what do they want from me, and can I ever return home? There better be answers to these questions because, while being my avatar is awesome, I also want to go home… I think.

The Goddess of Death's Champion
Eliot and Cel start off the same as any other peasant and climb their way to the heavens. At least, that's what a cheesy hook might say, however, Eliot and Cel have always had the attention of the Gods, Eliot longer than Cel but by no God more important. Even if it is their destiny to achieve legend status, they started out some where, and with only the semblance of a head start, not to mention that it makes for an interesting story. (If you decided to read because of a specific tag, some of them only show up later on in the story. I should also mention that romance is a significant focus but there is no romance tag besides the one in genre)

A story based in the world of Drew Hayes "SuperPowereds" Series, this is my attempt at a fan-fiction that holds very close to the canonical worldbuilding already done. I hope you enjoy.
